Amazing B&B

5 on July 26, 2016

My husband and I were travelling from NYC to Bar Harbor, making several stops along the way and staying at four B&Bs in total. By far, the Inn at Ullikana was our favorite. The location is perfect. It is right in town on a quiet street with water views. Upon entering the Inn, it is strikingly beautiful and charming. The individual rooms were equally charming with ample space, light, and beautiful decor. Coming from NYC with so many amazing restaurants, my husband and I admittedly can be food snobs. Nevertheless, we were thoroughly impressed with the breakfast served and afternoon snacks. We were greeted every morning with a warm and delicious muffin, followed by a fruit course and an inventive main dish. The afternoon wine and appetizers were a nice added touch. We were able to sip on wine and iced tea, snack and take in the beautiful scenery on the patio daily. I will certainly recommend this Inn to any and all of my friends who are traveling this way. When we return, this will certainly be our go to spot.

Ullikana magic

My husband and I recently stayed with Roy and Helene and can tell you that the experience was delightful. We were welcomed as if a member of the family. I room was sheer perfection and breakfasts with a view of Frenchman's Bay just couldn't get any better! I would definitely encourage you to try a step back in time to enjoy your stay at a leisurely pace!

Wonderful Experience

My husband and I stayed here in late June. We've stayed at many B&Bs over the years, and the innkeepers at Ullikana are the most gracious and kind we have encountered. They are happy to help you with anything you need but are not in your face. The entire staff is wonderful. Breakfasts are delicious and just the right size.

We stayed for two nights. One of the most comfortable B&B's I've stayed in. Beautiful views from the back and easy parking and check in.

The innkeeper and staff here were very friendly and knowledgeable. We visited in June but the temperature was in the 50's at night, the staff has a nice fire burning each evening and complimentary wine and snacks were available. The inn is on the bay, so watching the boats and activities from the inn were entertaining and relaxing. Lots of common areas inside and out to relax, but also within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and sights. We stayed in the Library Room and although the room was beautiful, its location was disappointing. The door opened into the common area and people could be heard outside of our door. We had an outdoor seating area but it had a view of the parking lot which also added to the noise of cars coming and going. The bathroom was an odd configuration and did not have places to put toiletries or clothing. A hook or small table would have been useful. The room also was under the stairs so people could be heard going up and down the stairs. I would definitely stay here again, but would choose a different room if I were spending time at the inn. The best about this inn was the location, staff, and food!

A Fantastic Experience!

We spent three nights for our first time in Bar Harbor. Helene and Roy, along with Sid, Kathy and the rest of the staff were so accommodating, helpful, and the gracious. The Inn is beautiful and the view is gorgeous! We can't wait to go back! Jayne and Tom

My wife and I stayed at the Ullikana for three great nights. Roy the owner, Sid the manager and all the staff made our stay as pleasent as can be. Our room was great, clean and specious. The breakfast was great all three mornings. Very recommended place to stay in Bar Harbor.

Pristine B&B, preferred location & personable innkeepers - perfect!”

4.8 on June 24, 2016

This was an early anniversary get-away and our 1st time to visit Maine. Ullikana was recommended in guidebooks and online. We were not disappointed when we arrived and saw it in person. The B&B has beautiful artwork, woodwork, and stained glass throughout but is a very comfortable home where you feel relaxed and at ease. The location is excellent. Except for driving to Acadia National Park, our car wasn't needed at all in town. You are quietly tucked back from Main Street right off the Shore Path and can walk to boating excursions, restaurants, shops, and even Bar Island when the tide is low. The staff were professional and not the least bit stuffy. We were never there for the afternoon wine and cheese, but the breakfasts were superb and accommodations were exceeded when I informed them of a food allergy. Simply a delightful experience all around. The rooms vary in size and style, so view pictures before selecting a room.
