This Place Is Absolute Perfection

5 on August 18, 2016

My husband & I stayed at Ullikana Inn for two nights this past August during a trip to Bar Harbor. This was our last and hands-down favorite stop in a 2 week vacation up the East Coast. I would recommend this b&b to anyone looking for a charming, luxurious, thoughtful, intimate place to stay in Bar Harbor. The owners Roy and Helena are wonderful hosts - kind, lovely and very knowledgeable of Acadia Park. The inn itself is stunning, with extreme attention to detail. Guests are encouraged to make use of the property and mingle with each other, over decadent breakfasts and wine & cheese in the back patio/garden overlooking the harbor. Thank you Ullikana for making our trip so memorable, we can't wait to go back.

This is a lovely property. Impeccably maintained. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more knowledgeable about Acadia and Bar Harbor. Staff was friendly as well. Food was outstanding. Kitchen area was spotless.location is also ideal. Close to shops but quite, ocean view. Will stay there if we go back to Acadia!!!!

Accomodations were fantastic. Location was perfect. Last and most importantly, our host and hostess were wonderful. If we lived closer, we would be there every weekend.

A special inn with lovely owners

5 on August 10, 2016

My daughter and I joined my sister and her husband for a 5 day break in Bar Harbor. My sister has been staying at this Inn for over 20 years- so we decided to see what drew them to come back every year. Now we know! Helene and Roy are lovely Innkeepers- and Helene's French cooking superb. The entire staff- from Sid to the housekeepers are so nice. We stayed in Audrey which is a beautiful bright room on the 3rd floor. It was perfect - the beds are really comfortable. My sister and her husband stay in #6- they had an amazing view. We enjoyed being close to the shore path for morning walks and close to town to walk in for dinner or shopping. I like the fact that I felt away from the bustling town but it was right there if we felt like going to town. Thank you Helene and Roy and staff for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Perfect Honeymoon Retreat

4.8 on August 07, 2016

This is my fourth stay at the Inn, and I made certain that it was the first Inn to book for our honeymoon. It continues to exceed my expectations, and now my husband feels the same way. Roy and Helene---and their whole staff----are top drawer. They do everything right! They leave no stone unturned, and I can't wait for my next visit. I have stayed in a different room each visit and they are all charming.

Innkeeper Response

Beautiful Historic Inn

4.6 on August 07, 2016

The Inn at Ullikana is a beautiful historic building in downtown Bar Harbor a little off the main Street. It is very quiet and there are water views from some of the rooms. I had booked the first floor rooms because my husband has a disability which makes stairs difficult for him to negotiate. As lovely as the Library room was, it is not ADA compliant, but still worked for us. Roy and Helene and their wonderful staff were absolutely phenomenal. They were right there to help when my husband needed it. Breakfasts were wonderful, fresh and imaginative. Helene is an excellent chef. There is an outdoor eating area that overlooks the bay. All in all, a lovely stay.

Innkeeper Response
Many thanks for the nice review. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure to have you as our guests.

Our Second Home

5 on August 04, 2016

We just stayed at the inn for a week, our second consecutive July visit. We have already booked our trip next year. This is a wonderful inn that is run by 2 excellent innkeepers. Roy is the best at helping you navigate the many hikes in Acadia. The staff is great and the rooms and common areas are superbly maintained. Breakfast on the patio every day is not to be missed. The view is outstanding. Wine and cheese is provided every night, and you get the chance to mingle with all the nice guests, many of which are repeat customers. This has to be the best place to stay in Bar Harbor.
