Cleftstone Manor

92 Eden Street , Bar Harbor, ME 04609-1123 USA (Show map)

About

The Cleftstone Manor, built in 1884 on “Millionaire’s Row”, is one of the few Victorian mansions to escape the fire of 1947. The seventeen guestrooms, each with private bath, and magnificent common rooms are furnished with Victorian antiques and period pieces, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of turn of the century Bar Harbor. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast each morning created by our chef and owner Anne Bahr as well as afternoon refreshments.

Beautiful antique inn abundant in history and detail, and decor. Excellent housekeeping, great innkeepers, superb full hot breakfasts. Good recreational and meal recommendations; extremely friendly atmosphere. GREAT inn-dog, "Coco," a really friendly lovable cocker spaniel puppy. Tea and coffee available all day/evening; easy parking. --- Marc and Karen Hiller, Somersworth NH

Breakfast is outstandinging, a lot of options and good service. The environment is nice and the hotel is like a home. The only problem is that my room has bad shades, the shades can't block the sun completely. Overall good quality

As always - Cleftstone is a great place to stay

I booked myself into the Cleftstone Manor and they did not disappoint. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The innkeeper, Anne, is constantly improving rooms and redecorating so things are fresh. The morning staff are quick with the coffee, helpful and interesting. Return again and you will be treated like family. The Cleftstone Manor is a warm, wonderful and historic inn. It sits on a hill on the edge of town so it is quieter but I can still easily walk into town for an afternoon of shopping. Enjoy ~ AJK

We had a great time in spite of the weather. A very friendly and inviting bed and breakfast. The food was tremendous, the staff friendly and very helpful. The entire place well kept and clean. I would recommend this b&b to anyone going to the Bar Harbor, ME area.

Our last stay was 24 years ago, and when we returned recently - it was the same as we remembered, but better ! You can't beat the location, ambience, friendliness of staff, and price. Go and find out yourself.

Another great stay at the Cleftstone.
