It was "off-season" but Martha and Tim were happy to take us in along with our dog, Avery! We felt very fortunate! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable! We slept well after walking to a great dinner by the water. Tim cooked us a delicious breakfast of blueberry pancakes, roasted grapefruit, and bacon! Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Canterbury Cottage. The house is adorable, the rooms were cute and clean, and the food was wonderful. Tim and Martha are great hosts and made us feel right at home. We brought our puppy with us - usually when we take him places, saying "dogs allowed" means "dogs are tolerated, but we do not want to see or hear them." Martha kept encouraging me to let him explore, play with her dogs, etc., and it let us relax knowing that she didn't think our dog was a nuisance. If we head back up to Maine, we will definitely stay there again!

We had a great stay at the Canterbury Cottage B&B. The room was cozy, yet had exactly what we needed. I appreciated the fact that toiletries such as shampoo/conditioner and body wash were provided for our use. The breakfast we had every morning was amazing! Each day we had a delicious, hot meal that kept us going through the day. We also enjoyed the mid-afternoon snack of cookies or brownies when we dropped back in. We would definitely stay again.

Honestly cannot fault the Canterbury Cottage. Hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. Great location just a few minutes walk from the Maine street in Bar Harbor. Breakfast was amazing, something different and special everyday. Loved Clinton the Labrador! Very dog friendly B&B. Would definitely recommend Canterbury Cottage to anyone staying in beautiful Bar Harbor, will definitely be back again.

The room was very quaint. The extra amenities were over the top from a dish of good chocolates to full size bottles of body lotion, quality shampoo and even lavender spray for your pillow. The bathroom had a very comfortable jacuzzi tub to relax in.

We recently stayed at Canterbury Cottage while visiting Acadia National Park for my husband's 40th birthday. We found this B&B on BringFido.com since we wanted to bring our dog along. Everything about our stay was outstanding. Martha & Tim are lovely people with sweet dogs who are very knowledgeable about the area. The location is wonderful, just a few blocks away from the main street. The room was lovely, and the breakfast provided was incredibly delicious. We will definitely return!

This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway to Acadia! Me and my boyfriend stayed in the look book room which was lovely, very clean bathroom the COMFIEST bed I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping in at any bed and breakfast or hotel, and a cute little balcony. They allow dogs here too and have some lovely friendly pups of their own! it's only a few minutes to the great shops, restaurants and to Acadia! Martha and Tim are great hosts and are willing to do anything to make your stay the best it can be! They serve breakfast every morning at 8 and it isn't just your everyday bacon and eggs... Martha treated us to baked pear cobbler, an amazing quiche and more! you can't go wrong with this place! I'd suggest it to anyone :)

We stayed here because they accept pets. We will stay here again because we really like the place. Canterbury Cottage is a typical cute B&B with the additional feature of great hosts. Our arrival included a house tour and local information. All of the host family are very nice and helpful - in general nice folks. The B&B is within easy walking distance of all of downtown Bar Harbor.
