Anne's White Columns Inn, an impressive Georgian structure, is located in the Historical Corridor in downtown Bar Harbor. Upon entering through the columned portico, one is greeted by the Victorian elegance of the foyer and salon. The huge fireplace is often crackling in spring and fall. The large wicker attired porch provides a peaceful setting for a leisurely breakfast, or your glass of wine and cheese during those long summer afternoons. The spacious grounds are a haven from the downtown activity but still convenient to the shops and restaurants.

Bob was the perfect host! We enjoyed talking with him about Bar Harbor and many other things. We would definitely stay at White Columns again.

First impressions a quaint New England guest house and we weren't expecting hotel standards. Unhappy though re condition of the room torn wallpaper dirty curtains stained carpet and broken blind so no privacy. Temperature in our room stifling no way to control it as the vent switch was broken. Also not happy about leaving the front and rear doors unlocked isn't the safety and security of your paying guests supposed to be paramount? Breakfast really unsuitable eg quiche and muffin no alternative offered.

This sis a very nice Inn with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The Inn is an easy walk to the town area. Clean, quite and friendly what more do you need in Bar Harbor?
