Be our guest in a historic Cape Cod Sea Captain's home, built in 1839 in the classic Georgian architectural style of the early nineteenth century. Located in the historic village of South Dennis, our bed and breakfast has been lovingly restored to its original character. Our small, intimate inn is tastefully decorated to evoke Old New England; throughout the Shady Hollow you will find mission-style furnishings, complemented with charming rugs, quilts and local artwork. All of our rooms are appointed with high quality cotton lines and handsome quilts to keep you cozy. The furnishings in the rooms and throughout the Inn are Mission style, known for its classic lines and wonderful simplicity. We have combined that style with hooked rugs, local artwork, and touches like fresh flowers and handmade lavender soap, to create a relaxed and gracious setting. Our attention to detail & cleanliness ensure that your accommodations are as perfect as possible! Each morning our chef prepares a full multi-course breakfast using the freshest, locally grown, organic ingredients.

This was our second stay at the inn. We have enjoyed each visit and really appreciate having an inn that accommodates a vegan diet. The breakfasts were delicious! We enjoyed chatting with Beth and Gary and had a lovely day following some of Gary's recommendations for local sites, hikes, and beaches. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, bright, and pretty with a well-appointed bathroom.

My wife and I escaped to the Cape for a weekend getaway and were thrilled with the Shady Hollow Inn -- the rooms were immaculate and beautifully furnished, the innkeepers, Beth & Gary were friendly & went out of their way to identify the best itineraries and special sights and the breakfasts were fabulous! We will be back!

Cancellations: Reservation and Cancelation Policies: Your room is reserved with your credit card, the entire amount will be charged 14 days prior to your arrival date or upon check in. Due to our small size, cancellations have a huge impact on our business but we do understand that sometimes life interferes with plans. If for some reason you need to cancel your reservation, contact us by telephone at least 15 days prior to your arrival date, we charge a $35.00 cancellation fee. If you cancel your reservation on day 14 or less prior to your arrival day, you will be charged the entire amount due. If we are able to re-rent the rooms, you will receive a refund less the $35.00 cancelation fee.

Once you are on Cape Cod, travel on Route 6 to Exit 9A. From the exit travel on Route 134 for about 1 mile until you come to the intesectin of Rt 134 and Lower County Road and Duck Pond Road. Make a right into Duck Pond ( a one way) and travel to the stop sign. Turn left and the Inn is the first driveway on your left.
