    My yearly retreat

    May 30, 2011

This place is fabulous. Easy to get to, it is close access to much of what is happening in this area of the Berkshires. I stay every year with a friend when we come once a summer to attend a local music festival. Rooms are clean and spacious. Lots of little touches, natural soap, fresh clear water in the room, goat milk soaps. Innkeepers, gracious, friendly helpful. Alex even stays up in eve to greet your return with an evening cordial! Breakfast is by far the most amazing I have had at B & B. Scrumptious home baked goods, sausage, omelets....you choose from the menu. It is so good that locals come to buy breakfast there! And the discount for my hybrid car is nice too. This July will be my 4th visit!

    Lovely New England Inn

    August 03, 2010

A very nice place to stay. Well-appointed. Charming rooms (stayed in the Artists suite - very nice - lots of space for a couple). Great double head shower. Nice restoration of house. Quiet even though on main road. Hosts are non-intrusive, but available when you need something, so privacy is respected. The breakfast was wonderful - the only thing I did not like was that we were charged extra for the breakfast.

    Innkeeper Response
Clarification from the owners: Full breakfast is ALWAYS included with your stay; we do not charge EXTRA for it.

    WONDERFUL

    February 16, 2010

The breakfast choices are original and tasty -- cinnamon bun french toast! Not to mention, Lynda, the proprietor, is friendly and gracious. There is free wi-fi, a library, a fireplace, sweet artesian well water in all the rooms, and HDTV. The rooms are spacious and cozy and not filled to the brim like some places with pseudo-antiques. Eco-conscious, the majority of the food items, etc. are locally grown, raised, and crafted (there are chickens on the premises!). I truly feel/felt relaxed here. You will Love it.

    Wonderful place to stay!

    October 20, 2009

My mother and I came here in early October during a driving trip through New England. When we first arrived, we were greeted by Andrei, one of the two hosts of the inn. He and his wife run a beautiful operation! From the art decorating the walls, to the fireplace, to the myriad of cookbooks, fresh spring water made on site, and their wonderful hospitality and Linda's cooking (!), this was truly one of the gems of our 2 week trip. We both felt very taken care of, as if we were staying at a good friend's place! I would definitely come back next time we travel to the East Coast.
