This was my first visit to the Berkshires. The Weathervane Inn was exactly the B&B I was looking for- quaint, friendly, great location. The staff was very helpful, providing information on local venues and hiking. I would definitely stay at the Inn on my next visit.

We have been staying at the Weathervane for many years and always enjoy it. It is near Tanglewood , the Shakespeare Festival, Lenox, Stockbridge and Great Barrington, but located in South Egremont which is quiet and relaxing. Jeff and Maxine are great hosts, always ready to offer directions or advice on things to do or where to have dinner.

Great location for getting to the many antique shops in the area. Closeness to Great Barrington and many wonderful restaurants was a plus. Owners very nice and helpful with ideas for things to do. room was very clean, quiet and comfortable.

A very nice place to stay. Very welcoming atmosphere and great common areas to sit, read, play games, relax, or have a nightcap. The breakfasts were very good - muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal, your choice of eggs, and breakfast meats (which varied by day), and very good coffee. The proprietors are great hosts. We enjoyed numerous conversations with them. Guitars and guitar books aboud, so if you are into that (and I am!) there is much fun to be had when you are not out and about. We would up in a very small room which, though clean and simply appointed, was a bit cramped. Opt for a larger room if you can. But we loved the place and look forward to returning.

My friends and I needed a place to stay near the Appalachian Trail which would also provide a shuttle to and from the trail over a long weekend. Jeff at the Weathervane Inn was very gracious with our late night arrival and shuttling us to the trail. The continental breakfast was huge and got us off to a good backpacking weekend. I would like to come back in the near future with my husband to check out the area.

What a quaint and lovely place in South Egremont, MA. You can really feel the history of the home, and it is full of lovely antiques and cozy quilts. The owners have some REALLY cool collectibles for sale, old books and some amazing autographs. We enjoyed browsing through the items. My two daughters and I stayed in a room up under the eaves with a twin bed and a double bed, and our own bathroom. It really felt like we were visiting relatives, and had our own snug little room. The breakfast was above and beyond what we expected, made-to-order eggs and sausage, fresh fruit, cereals, muffins, yogurt--in short, everything we certainly would want for breakfast, and then some! It was a unique and fun place to stay for our visit to Simon's Rock College.

We have stayed at the WeatherVane many times over the years and always find it very relaxing. It's in a great location in South Egremont, near everything but away from the hustle and bustle that can go on in Lenox and Stockbridge. We use the inn as a base to visit Tanglewood, to attend the Shakespeare Festival, and to go antiquing. There are several very nice restaurants nearby, and Jeff & Maxine are always offering suggestions as to things to do.

Thanks so much to Jeff and Maxine for a truly wonderful time in the Berkshires. They could not have been more gracious and accommodating! They provided us with their parking pass to Tanglewood so that we could get in and out - the breakfast was amazing, the bed so comfortable. Took a nice refreshing swim in the pool, very welcome on this hot hot day. Thanks for a great stay!

Enjoyed meeting the Lomes and staying in their beautiful home. Egremont is close to everything and the innkeepers were very helpful in pointing us in the right direction for everything.

This place is charming, quiet and extremely comfortable. Our host was welcoming and informative, but never intrusive. I loved everything about the inn! Great book collection and lovely decor. Good food too.
