The Green Turtle Floating Bed and Breakfast is located on Boston Harbor in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard. Green Turtle I offers 2 separate queen suites(Loggerhead & Sea Turtle). Each has a kitchenette and bathroom/shower en suite.

The Green Turtle is a floating bed & breakfast as luxurious as it is unique. Set in historic Charlestown Navy Yard on Boston Harbor, our B & B offers an expansive view of the Boston Harbor skyline along with the comfort and amenities of a modern bed and breakfast. The USS Constitution "Old Ironsides", the Bunker Hill Monument and the Freedom Trail are a short walk away. You can take the water ferry or free bus shuttle to get to all of the sites. Water taxi will pick you up and drop you off at our front door from the airport. The Green Turtle houseboat and yachts were designed for comfort above all and the only reminder you are floating in Boston Harbor is the sound of the gulls, slight motion of the sea and the reflection of the ocean dancing on the ceiling. It is delightful starting your day sipping coffee or enjoying a cold beverage after a day of sightseeing while sitting on your aft deck or dock chairs watching the harbor traffic and city skyline. The Green Turtle offers 3 boat choices. The Green Turtle I is a houseboat that has two private/separate suites(Loggerhead & Sea Turtle). Each has a kitchenette and private bathroom/shower en-suite. Each sleeps 2 or rent both for 4 people. Green Turtle II is a 45ft. motor yacht which sleeps 2-6. She has 2 private queen staterooms with bathroom/shower in each stateroom, a full sleeper sofa in the salon, a galley, dinette and a great aft deck with comfortable furniture. Green Turtle III is a 43ft. motor yacht which sleeps 4 in 2 queen staterooms with bathroom/shower in each, a salon, galley, dinette and aft deck with comfortable furniture. Your suite/yacht is stocked with gourmet coffee, tea, juice, water, granola, yogurt and snacks. We deliver fresh breakfast each morning to your door. Staying aboard The Green Turtle is a unique way to visit Boston. All boats are docked in protected marina slips and are permanently moored during your stay. We live here on our sailboat. A nautical world of passing boats and tugs, of a gently bobbing houseboat, a world away but 15 mins from Boston harborside- this is Karen & Jon's world, do yourself a favour and share a few days with them, you could do a lot, lot worse.

We stayed on the boathouse and it was absolutely charming. The room was was fully stocked with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Jon and Karen are wonderful keepers and very willing to help in any way to make the weekend wonderful. Can't wait to go back again.

Less than 14 days, we will refund payment provided we are able to resell the nights covered by the reservation, less the cancellation fee. For cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, the full amount will be charged. We regret that we cannot give refunds for late arrivals or for early departures.

Jon and Karen were so welcoming and had many tips about the area, restaurants, and transportation. The houseboat was unusual, very well kept, and the welcome basket of goodies was delightful! However, I'm not sure the value was there as the dock is old with lots of obstacles (hoses, tools, etc) along the walkway. We were unable to sleep in because whenever someone was in the hallway, the sound carried through the thin door. (They also need some "Do Not Disturb" signs.) Overall, we were glad we stayed at the Green Turtle, but probably won't return.

Our stay at the Green Turtle Floating Bed and Breakfast was very enjoyable and we are looking forward to returning in the future. The breakfasts were delicious and Karen and Jon were hospitable and amicable. They were more than accommodating gracious.

I stayed there with my new husband for three nights after our wedding- two nights on the Green Turtle and one night on the GT2. Jon and Karen were immediately welcoming and informative with orienting us to the town and vessel. They had great recommendations for dinner spots. We're planning on returning with our kids, 9 and 6, to stay on the GT2- looking forward to fishing off the pier and trying our hand at pulling in lobster pots!
