The Green Turtle is a floating bed and breakfast as luxurious as it is unique. Set in historic Boston Harbor, our B and B offers an expansive view of the Boston skyline along with the comfort and amenities of a modern bed and breakfast. We are less than 10 minutes from Logan Airport and the subway is less than a mile. We provide taxi service to the subway, then it is just 5 stops to downtown. The Green Turtle houseboat and yachts were designed for comfort above all and the only reminder you are floating in Boston Harbor is the sound of the gulls, slight motion of the sea and the reflection of the ocean dancing on the ceiling. It is delightful starting your day sipping coffee or enjoying a cold beverage after a day of sightseeing while sitting on your aft deck or dock chairs watching the fabulous sunset and city skyline. The Green Turtle offers 3 boat choices. The Green Turtle I is a houseboat that has two private/separate suites(Loggerhead and Sea Turtle). Each has a kitchenette and private bathroom/shower en-suite. Each sleeps 2 or rent both for 4 people. Green Turtle II is a 45ft. motor yacht which sleeps 2-6. She has 2 private queen staterooms with bathroom/shower in each stateroom, a full sleeper sofa in the salon, a galley, dinette and a great aft deck with comfortable furniture. Green Turtle III is a 43ft. motor yacht which sleeps 4 in 2 queen staterooms with bathroom/shower in each, a salon, galley, dinette and aft deck with comfortable furniture. Your suite/yacht is stocked with gourmet coffee, tea, juice, water, granola, yogurt and snacks. We deliver fresh breakfast each morning to your door. Staying aboard The Green Turtle is a unique way to visit Boston. All boats are docked in protected marina slips and are permanently moored during your stay. We live here on our sailboat. So the Outstanding rating was not working, or I would've selected them for Service & Value! The Service was amazing! They met us on our request & changed with us when our plans changed. Breakfast was superb! Our room met my expectations although the Logan Airport planes did wake us up throughout the night.

This is the most amazing B&B ever. The views were fabulous but not nearly as good as Karen and Jon as hosts. Everything you could possibly want was thought of and delivered with good cheer and a warm smile. Thoroughly recommend the Green Turtle to anyone wanting a unique and unforgettable stay in Boston.

Thanks Karen and Jon for a great night on the docks! For once I am glad our favorite hotel rooms on the waterfront in Boston were all booked! I've read "good things" about the Green Turtle for a few years now, but it's so popular we have never been able to book it for our desired dates. We just got lucky this time. Really lucky! It was a crisp fall evening in October, the sunset from our deck chairs (with wine) was gorgeous, getting the T (transit) into Boston was super convenient, and that breakfast quiche was delicious! If you expect great service, want to be be lulled to sleep by the lapping of water against the hull, or simply want a new awesome alternative to that boring hotel room definitely try the Green Turtle for your next stay. The little galley is also complete with coffee, tea, snacks and many other items in the fridge to drink and eat. It was a fun, memorable experience. We plan to be return customers! Just remember to book well in advance.

We knew we hit the jackpot when John met us at our car at the end of a Nor'easter to haul our luggage down the dock to our floating room. Karen met us and they both gave us a warm welcome and lots of detailed tips on getting around a city unfamiliar to my wife and me. At precisely 7:00 the next morning we were delivered a hearty breakfast of absolutely the best homemade pancakes I have ever eaten in my life, along with warmed syrup, fresh fruit, and sausage links. The next two mornings were were met with egg sandwiches and then a mushroom quiche along with a variety of sides. Their clear directions (and delicious breakfast) got us off to a jambed packed day of seeing the city. Definitely take the subway - the quickest way dowtown. After the next day's delicious breakfast we were off again. Luckily the two full days we were there the storms had passed and the sun was peaking out. We got to see just about everything we planned to see and some pleasant surprises we had not. Both Karen and John met us on our departure and offered their well wishes on the continuation of our two week jaunt through New England. We totally enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again in warmer weather so we can enjoy sitting dockside and watching the sunrises and sunsets. Also, did I say the breakfasts were great? Thanks to Karen and John for one of the most memorable vacations we've had.

Hosts were very knowledgeable about the local area and gave suggestions, the facility was great, and breakfast was wonderful.

The Green Turtle is all of the following, and more! UNIQUE: Well, if "houseboat" doesn't fit that category, how about "houseboat, sitting in the Boston Harbor, surrounded by boats softly moving about with the tides - and you can see planes land and take off right over the water at Logan, which is across the harbor!" RENOVATED: Our suite was outfitted with Pottery Barn plates and Renovation Hardware linens... The rooms look like no one has ever been in them before - they are that fresh and new. FRIENDLY: When we first met Karen and Jon, they were open and helpful. Karen took us into the suite and pointed out everything we could possibly need to know or have questions about. Then she laid a map or two of the area on the bed and drew lines and circles all over them- how to get to the nearby subway so that we could get all over Boston, how to get to Boston's must-see Freedom Trail, and great ideas for places to eat, etc. By the time we had to leave the next day, we had had several great conversations with Jon, who was also greatly interested in not only the comfort and welfare of us as houseguests, but in us as individuals, too. We felt like we had been friends for years. CONVENIENTLY LOCATED - Subway-close (they call it the "T" in Boston) to everywhere you would like to see in Boston. And, obviously, close to the airport. (and to sweeten the deal, the $5.00 subway parking lot fee will be refunded by the Green Turtle!) And, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that you do hear airplanes landing and taking off , and it takes a bit of getting used to, but, it wasn't the screeching and harsh noises which are often associated with living near an airport - I don't know why... CHARMING - Well, when was the last time you sat at a small table on a dock and had a yummy breakfast served right to you? And the suite -although not large - was perfect for a more extended stay (sadly, we were there only one night...).

We stayed one night on the Green Turtle 3. The location was out of town, but has a view of downtown Boston. Although close to the airport, and there was some noise, we felt it added to the ambiance. The boat was beautiful. It reminded me of the inside of a small log cabin. It was very cozy and intimate. The beds were very comfortable with great linens and the breakfast was perfect. We didn't spend a lot of time with Jon and Karen, but they were very helpful and great hosts. Should we find ourselves back in Boston, we plan on staying here. There is a seafood restaurant and a place to buy wine and beer about a 5 minute walk from the boat.

Our stay began on Turtle II with Jon and Karen welcoming us at the dock with a shuttle carrier for our luggage. The detailed tour of our yacht began with the comfortable livingroom space with oversized cable TV and working fireplace. We then descened into the kitchen area (the galley) where there is wonderful seating and walking space into the fully equipped kitchen. The extras offered gratis were welcomed like the (French roast coffee, apple, pinapple and orange juices, yogurts, and water bottles). Having milk and cream for our coffee along with all the sweeteners made our mornings delightful. Very careful planning went into our comfort there. The two state rooms are more than comfortable with queen size beds each having it's our bathroom, separate shower and two closets. There were no improvements that we could see to be made. Linens & towels were special. But our favorite part was the upper deck off the livingroom space with comfortable couches and chairs overlooking Boston Harbor and all the other beautiful yachts in the harbor. We had wine and cheese during sunsets which were spectacular up there every night. The evening ocean breezes made for deep sleeping. Early morning coffee up on our deck was another delightful surprise. We drove to the subway which was close, and headed into Boston each day enjoying all the varied options. We took the green and yellow trolley car option which allowed us twenty stops over two days....with comical, jovial commentary during each time we got on by a knowledgeable guide. Going back to our yacht each evening was such a delight knowing our breakfast would be delivered each morning delicious and warm at our desired time. Can I say more about this Bed and Breakfast option....it was perfect....thanks to Jon and Karen.

We totally enjoyed our night at the Green Turtle. Sitting on the dock was so relaxing. Love the planes! Sorry we only had the one night.

Luxurious, convenient, and economical stay right in Boston Harbor! Our host met us at the dock to accompany us to our yacht for the night. We were warmly welcomed and settled in. Our hosts were very accommodating to our needs for an early breakfast, which was delivered right to us on our boat. They also called a taxi to pick us up in the morning to take us to the "T" to get to our destination. Our group of five had a very enjoyable stay and the views of the Boston skyline were amazing--the best you would get anywhere! Highly recommended!
