Welcome to the historic Horace Kellogg Homestead. 187 years old, it offers the best of New England's charm, warmth, and comfort. Built in 1828 by Horace Kellogg, this property was once a thriving agricultural endeavor in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts. The Kellogg Homestead is a traditional Bed and Breakfast, offering distinctive and memorable overnight accommodations. We are conveniently located near central Amherst and the Five Colleges. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast before setting out for your day or linger for a while on the front sun porch. SORRY BUT WE DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE GIFT CARD PROGRAM.

Came to Amherst for a college tour. Loved staying here. Close to town. Impeccably clean and breakfast was delicious!

A nice overnight while visiting the colleges. They managed to provide a lovely breakfast even though the kitchen was being renovated.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review! Thanks for taking a chance on us even thought the kitchen isn't 100%. All the important parts are in, Steve's working hard to finish it. Come on back to see it complete!

Our stay was wonderful! Our hosts took time to visit with us and provided us with suggestions on restaurants and routes to take. We will definitely go back to the Horace Kellogg Homestead.

I enjoyed every detail of my two-night stay in October 2015. My stay was peaceful, restful and soothing. Susan is warm and efficient. My room (Judge's room) was large, with coordinated furniture and two closets, and the bed was very comfortable, with lots of pillows. Two other sets of guests were staying, but I did not hear a sound in my room. A full bathroom was always available (there are two). Susan made us delicious well-rounded breakfasts, which we ate in the sunny dining room. One day, I bought lunch items from the farmer's market a few blocks away and ate them in the side yard under towering trees. This B&B is a few blocks from Amherst College and the center of town and a short distance from the other local colleges - a very convenient location. I will recommend it to all my friends.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. You painted an awesome picture of your stay. Your review is "priceless advertisement" for us and we appreciate it very much! Hope to see you in the future!

Susan and Stephen were very helpful hosts and Stephen's cooking was great. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The only downside is that the rooms do not have bathrooms attached. However, I never found myself waiting in line for a bathroom.
For some who "almost never stays at B&B's", I consider it a compliment that you took the time to write a review. I hope you try other B&B's and find them "comfortable and spacious" as well. You can almost bet that the next one will be different, no 2 are alike. Enjoy!

A lovely spot, only 10-15 walk from Amherst campus. Hosts are very pleasant, rooms are lovely. Didn't sample the breakfasts, but teas and coffee are provided throughout the day. No A/C, but that's par for the course in this area.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review! Sorry about the AC. The weather caught us off guard. Of course the next day was in the 40's! We do have AC conditioners for the window but wasn't expecting to need them so soon and Steve wasn't here to put them in. Hope you had a fun time with your colleagues! See you next time!

My two nights at this B&B were everything I could have hoped for. The Judge's room was very comfortable and I slept soundly. Sue and Steve are accommodating and friendly hosts, and made me feel right at home. This is the best way to stay for your visit to the Valley. Highly recommended.
