Carl is an very good host, who helps you if needed. The house is beautiful, and it really feels like home. The quarter is close to the French Quarter (10 15 minutes by walk), and is lovely and safe. I recommand The Burgundy B&B and hope coming back soon !

We stayed for two nights in late summer 2015, after several nights at a bland business hotel in town. We very much preferred The Burgundy. Carl was a very welcoming and helpful host - available when we needed something but not at all obtrusive. He booked us on a tour at a discounted price, and arrNged an early breakfast for us. The B&B is homely and comfortable in a quiet neighbourhood, with excellent local cafés and just a short pleasant walk to Frenchmen Street. We loved the area and would happily stay at The Burgundy on Return visit to New Orleans.

Second year in a row at the Burgundy. As French Quarter Fest attendees, this is the perfect location. Love the funkiness of the place and the neighborhood. Peace and quiet here plus I have become quite fond of proprietor Carl Smith. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

This B&B is in an old home in the Marigny neighborhood. We stayed for 4 nights and walked to the French Quarter each day. It is an even shorter walk to Frenchmen Street with its restaurants and music. It is very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. This is NOT for those who are used to luxury hotels, but the location, price and host deliver great value for those who want the authentic New Orleans experience. Breakfast is a cold breakfast but certainly adequate with lots of fresh fruit and great coffee. Several of the guests were European when we were there. If you go, make it a point to speak with the other guests at breakfast. It will enhance your stay. We will recommend this B&B to our friends and we will be back.

The two of us stayed there April 2015. Carl, the host, very informative and gracious. Facilities were great and the ability to sit on the back deck was a nice feature.

Carl was a pleasant host. He was very flexible with our check in time (afternoon) and was there to greet us. He always answered our questions and gave us great suggestions for activites and places to visit. The breakfast was simple but good-yogurt, cereal, bagels, toast, fresh fruit. We stayed in the coral room-the room and bathroom were clean, plenty of towels, room controlled A/C which was a plus. The bed however, was not very comfortable-definitely an old mattress. Other than that is was a great stay here!

I love this place. It's quiet and cozy. The owner is wonderful and welcoming. It's perfect. The walk into the market is only about 20-25 minutes and you pass through lovely neighborhoods to get there.
