Marigny Gem

This is our 3rd year staying at the burGUNdy while we attend French Quarter Fest. An easy walk to Frenchmen St and the Quarter. I continue to love the funkiness of the neighborhood and appreciate staying in this double shotgun. I consider innkeeper Carl Smith a friend and always enjoy talking with him over breakfast. It has always been quiet and comfortable in our room and the place has a nice laid back vibe.

A satisfied return guest

Always a pleasure to stay at the Burgundy B&B. Away yet close enough to enjoy the Frenchquarter. The Burgundy offers personal touches and a warm private atmosphere that's hard to find. Thanks again. We hope to see them again next year.

First Experience with a B & B

4.2 on March 01, 2016

My wife and I chose to stay at this Bed and Breakfast for our last 2 nights in NOLA. It was such a nice change from the hotel we were in at the beginning of the week. Carl was very welcoming as was the whole place; the room was very comfortable. We will definitely consider B & B's for our future travels!

A nice, quiet place to stay

Thank you Carl for your hospitality. You provided lots of advice regarding the area restaurants and attractions that helped us out. It was great talking to you about your city. We will see you again sometime.

Great B&B to experience New Orleans

5 on February 13, 2016

The Burgundy was perfect for our first trip to Mardi Gras! It was close enough to walk to all the fun but far enough away if you just needed to relax for a minute. Carl (the innkeeper) was great and told us all the places to go and how to get there. We stayed in the Green room and it was quiet and very comfortable. If you want to have a full experience of New Orleans, this is great place to stay.

Quiet B&B in convenient location

4.6 on January 25, 2016

The Burgundy B&B was exactly what I was looking for when I wanted a short stay in NoLa. It was within walking or biking distance of everything I wanted to do. Carl was a pleasant and informative host. The B&B was quiet and clean; my room (the smallest available) was much bigger than I expected and benefitted from a nice tall ceiling. The house rules were fairly standard for a B&B; not overly strict or lenient which would have potentially made the enjoyable stay, well, less enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend it and plan to return. Note that I didn't have a car; I walk and bike when I'm in town. So proximity to what a visitor may want to do is of course relative.

Great Weekend in New Orleans

4.0 on December 09, 2015

My husband and I spent a long weekend in New Orleans last month and stayed at Carl Smith's Burgundy Bed and Breakfast. The room was perfect, the breakfast was great and the location couldn't be beat. It was out of the way and allowed us to explore Marigny as well as the French Quarter and Garden District by foot and by Streetcar. Carl was very friendly and helpful with navigating New Orleans, as this was our first trip. We'd definitely stay with Carl again when we return!

Fantastic Bed and Breakfast

This charming little bed and breakfast is only a short walk (or cheap uber ride) from the French Quarter and has some cool neighborhood bars within a few blocks. It's a perfect place to stay if you want to be close to the action, but also want a quiet, restful night.

Had our first visit to the Crescent City and it was everything that we hope it could be and more. We stayed at The Burgundy B & B, we love everything about it. A nice neighborhood close to St. Roch Market and just walking distance to everything. Very cozy place with a very friendly guests and very accommodating host. Carl is very helpful and informative, he suggested places to go and things to do in NOLA. We will definitely come back and stay at this bed and breakfast.
