A lovely house in Marigny. Comfortable and interesting.

Heart of the Marigny

Second year in a row at the Burgundy. As French Quarter Fest attendees, this is the perfect location. Love the funkiness of the place and the neighborhood. Peace and quiet here plus I have become quite fond of proprietor Carl Smith. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

15 minute walk to the French Quarter

4.6 on April 21, 2015

This B&B is in an old home in the Marigny neighborhood. We stayed for 4 nights and walked to the French Quarter each day. It is an even shorter walk to Frenchmen Street with its restaurants and music. It is very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. This is NOT for those who are used to luxury hotels, but the location, price and host deliver great value for those who want the authentic New Orleans experience. Breakfast is a cold breakfast but certainly adequate with lots of fresh fruit and great coffee. Several of the guests were European when we were there. If you go, make it a point to speak with the other guests at breakfast. It will enhance your stay. We will recommend this B&B to our friends and we will be back.

Very Pleasant Bed & Breakfast

The two of us stayed there April 2015. Carl, the host, very informative and gracious. Facilities were great and the ability to sit on the back deck was a nice feature.

Coral Room

Carl was a pleasant host. He was very flexible with our check in time (afternoon) and was there to greet us. He always answered our questions and gave us great suggestions for activites and places to visit. The breakfast was simple but good-yogurt, cereal, bagels, toast, fresh fruit. We stayed in the coral room-the room and bathroom were clean, plenty of towels, room controlled A/C which was a plus. The bed however, was not very comfortable-definitely an old mattress. Other than that is was a great stay here!

I will never stay anywhere else

I love this place. It's quiet and cozy. The owner is wonderful and welcoming. It's perfect. The walk into the market is only about 20-25 minutes and you pass through lovely neighborhoods to get there.

Enjoyable stay at the Burgundy

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Burgundy, Carl was a good host, and the house was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of New Orleans.

Superb stay!

If you're visiting New Orleans - The Burgundy B&B is the place to be. Don't waste your $$ on those expensive hotels! The rooms at the Burgundy B&B are very clean, breakfast delicious & French Quarter is just minutes away. Carl the owner is a fantastic host, he will help you with any questions you may have! I am delighted to have stayed at the Burgundy. Thank you!

We had a hard time to find a last-minute room in New Orleans for only one night. We managed to get one in this B&B. With hindsight however, this is the kind of place you shouldn't stay just one night: a beautiful characteristic house, everything you need and more, walking distance from the French quarter, nice and safe neighborhood and a very friendly and helpful host. It is a true oasis in the city and I wished we could have spend more time...

Nice Vacation.

Our stay at the Burgundy B & B was worth the trip. Carl the owner was very helpful and he made a nice continental breakfast .He is knowledgeable about the area and had lots of favorite spots. The walk to Frenchman street was 10 minutes and another 10 minutes to the French quarter, very manageable ! The accommodations were fine, but I would note the shower curtain in our room should be thrown out and replaced.
