The Burgundy Bed and Breakfast is a recently renovated 1890's ornate Victorian "shotgun double" in the Faubourg Marigny, within walking distance of the French Quarter. Our clientele is a perfect mix of straight and gay men and women. Normal rate is $85 - $120 per night, including taxes and breakfast. Clothing is optional in the spa and sunbathing area.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Helpful to newcomers of New Orleans. My partner and I enjoyed our stay immensely. We don't typically spend a lot of time in a hotel when we vacation, but the Burgundy House was a place we felt very comfortable with, and will look them up any time we come back to town.

Carl is an excellent host and a great source of information. We had the Red Room with its own door to the patio. Great accommodations!

Close to Frenchman St. where the best local music now resides. There are also wonderful restaurants.

Not exactly what I was expecting being that I had never been to New Orleans. Safe neighborhood. Carl was VERY helpful. It is about a 15-20 min walk from the French Quarter. You'll definitely need a cab, if walking from Bourbon St.

My first time in a B&B. I discovered this place by pure luck while surfing the web. Carl (owner) has created a welcoming environment in this beautiful house, the Green room where I stayed has all the amenities and even though is in the house it's private and near the back door to allow guests to come and go at any time. It's in the old and nice neighbourhood of the Marigny that allows visitors to walk anywhere from there and enjoy the French Quarter. Excellent choice.

A last minute booking to a quaint B&B. In the hot tub with a cocktail in the quaint courtyard is just what the dr ordered. Absolutely great hidden gem in the Big Easy.

Carl was an excellent host, coordinating transportation from the airport, advising my cousin and I on restaurants, and making all his guests feel welcome. He serves a generous breakfast with REAL Louisiana coffee! We were able to linger over breakfast chatting with the other guests, which was fun and relaxing. We stayed in the blue room, which is great if you need two beds. Carl allowed me to leave my luggage after check-out time, which was very convenient. The house is very authentic and safe, and only about a mile on foot from the waterfront area. However, staying in the neighborhood, in my opinion, is much better than being in the tourist area! This is the best trip to New Orleans I have had!
