You're greeted with stately columns and regal galleries. Inside, the charm of antebellum New Orleans surrounds you. This grand Greek Revival house of the 1850's exudes both the elegance and decadence of old Creole Louisiana. With soaring 14-foot ceilings and intricate, hand-crafted cypress trim, your room is a respite from the bustle of the street. Some feature 4-poster king beds, others queen and full sized beds. All have private baths. An intimate courtyard invites you to relax in our soothing spa surrounded by tropical greenery and yet you're close to the action. Just six blocks from the French Quarter, a 15 minute stroll to the non-stop energy of Bourbon Street. Fine restaurants, famous jazz clubs and sidewalk cafes are literally a short walk from our front door. Royal Street Courtyard, where you're at home in New Orleans.

Since friends had stayed here in the past and highly recommended the Royal Street Courtyard, we already had high expectations and we were not disappointed.

We visited Royal Street Courtyard earlier this month, and had a wonderful visit! Philip and David are wonderful hosts. They are there to greet the arrivals and provide a map of the neighborhood explaining where everything is - from the fun things to do as a visitor, to the neighborhood breakfast spots. It's only 10 minutes to the Quarter and stumbling distance from Frenchmen Street. The B&B is in a wonderful old house, with spacious and surprisingly quiet rooms. The yard is awesome to hang out in, with a swing chair and a hot tub, and the porch is great to people watch from. (If you get the room with the detached bathroom - they have robes!) The house cat might come up for the odd cuddle. There is a 24 hr convenience store 2 blocks away if you forget anything, or realize you need sunscreen. Overall we have a fabulous trip to New Orleans and can't wait to come back! Rik and Tatiana.

Perfectly located a few blocks from Frenchmen Street in Marigny with access to local restaurants, coffee shops and bars outside the French Quarter. The hosts provide the highest quality of information saving time for enjoying this beautiful district in this glorious town.

A fantastic house with style and charm is only outdone by wonderful owners who really understand how to connect with their guests. The customer service began with emails and text messages from Phillip, making sure we had everything we needed and asking when our plane landed so he could receive us. It hasn't stopped there. He gave us an orientation, suggestions on dining, and other recommendations. You just don't see this level of customer care anymore!

Our trip to the Royal Street Courtyard at the end of February 2016 was outstanding. Upon arrival we were greeted by Phillip and given a detailed rundown of the area, places to see and eat, and things to do. Throughout our entire weekend the owners were extremely helpful and gracious in answering any and all questions we had, and many that we didn't realize we had! The B&B was quiet, comfortable, and welcoming, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Any trip back to New Orleans in the future will definitely include a stay here.

Shabby-Elegance; laid-back and yet refined; centrally located and yet hidden from the loud crowds of the French Quarter. Truly enjoyed staying at this refined and well restored old Lady. Phillip and David were perfect hosts, and the Marigny is a delight to explore. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

This was our second stay at Royal Street Courtyard B and B. Philip and David are terrific hosts and share lots of helpful information. The facility is in a wonderful location. Breakfast is fully self serve except for coffee which is ready, hot and delicious. Other B and B's that we visit do offer a hot breakfast, which we enjoy. That would be my only suggestion. Otherwise, the place is pretty much perfect.
Thanks for the review. Hope to see you again soon. The issue with hot breakfasts is that it is totally against the B&B licensing rules in New Orleans. So, we do what we can :-)

Phillip and David provide an authentic New Orleans experience and are excellent hosts. Our bedroom was delightful, the ambience of the Bed and Beakfast itself captured a bygone age, and David's knowledge of the history and politics of the region was an added bonus. We loved staying here and would thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast- an outstanding experience, for which many thanks. Pippa and Stuart, London, UK.
It was a pleasure meeting you both. Hope to see you again soon. You don't have to wait until Mardi Gras :-)

Phil and David were very gracious hosts and extremely helpful in guiding us to areas of interest in NOLA. They love their city and are very effective in providing visitors a cultural understanding of this unique town. The location is outstanding, very close to the great music on Frenchman St., but also close to fine restaurants and the French quarter. Would strongly recommend staying there, esp. If this is your first time in NOLA. The garden is quiet and beautiful, as our the porches and decor. Many thanks, guys!
