You're greeted with stately columns and regal galleries. Inside, the charm of antebellum New Orleans surrounds you. This grand Greek Revival house of the 1850's exudes both the elegance and decadence of old Creole Louisiana. With soaring 14-foot ceilings and intricate, hand-crafted cypress trim, your room is a respite from the bustle of the street. Some feature 4-poster king beds, others queen and full sized beds. All have private baths. An intimate courtyard invites you to relax in our soothing spa surrounded by tropical greenery and yet you're close to the action. Just six blocks from the French Quarter, a 15 minute stroll to the non-stop energy of Bourbon Street. Fine restaurants, famous jazz clubs and sidewalk cafes are literally a short walk from our front door. Royal Street Courtyard, where you're at home in New Orleans.

My wife and I stayed at Royal Street Courtyard during out first trip to New Orleans. This B&B made our stay in New Orleans very special. It is in a great location within walking distance to the heart of New Orleans. Phillip, the host, was friendly and provided me a customized list of things to see and places to eat in the city. I would recommend RSC to anyone looking for a fun and unique place to stay in New Orleans.

Wonderful experience! Beautiful, quiet, & amazingly convenient property, awesome hosts, and all over great experience. The only reason for the 4 stars is, at one point, a portion of the sheets rolled off the bed and the mattress was stained in what looked like blood :-/, but, I'm going to keep up the facade in my mind that it was spilled marinara sauce... aside from that minor mind-freak, I loved it and will totally come back and refer anyone who needs a nice, quiet, laid back place to stay while in New Orleans!

My Partner and I were just in New Orleans for his Birthday. He had never been before, but, I had been a couple of times - which included a previous stay at Royal St. Courtyard, that had also been phenomenal. Phillip was so awesome, because he knew it was his Birthday, and had placed balloons and two chocolate cupcakes in our room before we checked in, in order to get our stay off to a great start. The location is simply perfect - we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in the French Quarter, and be there in less than 15-20 minutes. Phillip and David were very gracious and, while being our Innkeepers for the weekend, they also made us feel as though we were good friends. Phillip gave us the "lay of the land" via a map, upon checking in, and, all of his knowledge and recommendations on where and where not to go were spot on. As for the room, it was perfect! A huge balcony that was accessible by lifting the floor to ceiling windows, very roomy and did not have a cramped feel, and a spacious en suite bathroom that were all very modern and comfortable. We hated to leave on Sunday morning, but, Phillip reminded us that we could always come back! Don't worry - we will be back, and will most definitely stay at Royal Street Courtyard again! Oh...although plenty of breakfast items were provided and available every morning, the "Birthday Boy" had to have Cafe du Monde every morning! However, the breakfast is great and available, if you want it!

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Street Courtyard earlier this month and we were very pleased with our stay. The house was very nice and the owners were amazing. We were met at the door upon our arrival and given a quick rundown on everything in the area with directions on how to get there. Our room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the area the house was located in too. Frenchman street was very neat with lots of restaurants and live music and the walk to the French Quarter and Bourban was not bad at all. We will definitely stay here next time we return.

Our room was warm and inviting, our hosts were helpful with suggestions on places to see and restaurants, and we felt like we were part of the community. This was by far one of the best vacations we have ever had, and Phillip and David helped to make that happen by creating a cozy and friendly environment. Thanks guys!

Phillip was so friendly and gracious. He is also the go-to-guy for a local experience in NOLA. His suggestions for restaurants were absolutely the best. I would have never of found these places on my own. The historic rooms made the experience feel all the more authentic.

We spent 4 nights in New Orleans and enjoyed our stay immensely. David and Philip run a wonderful place, in a friendly, easygoing but professional way. The place has a great feel, offers very good value, is close to the action but in a quiet street. The absence of real breakfast is an opportunity to explore the food scene, especially the beignets in the morning. The five stars are well deserved. Laurent, from Brussels. Ps I put the same score for dining but there is no restaurant. A bit silly, you have to rate every category.

We stayed at the Inn for four nights and loved every minute of it. It was our first trip to New Orleans, but not our last! The Inn was within walking distance to most things we wanted to do and see, and Phillip pointed us in the direction of many more things that we never would have known to look for! Both Phillip and Boo Boo kitty are friendly, welcoming hosts and we would absolutely stay again.

Phillip has great recommendations for restaurants within the area and we loved the balcony. Perfect location!

Been here twice and will keep coming back. Some rooms are a little on the functional rather than luxurious side, but everything works and the house overall is great. Philip and David are both wonderful people and full of insider info for a visitor. So much better than staying in the Central City hotels or the French Quarter!
New Orleans, LA (MSY) 18 miles
Directions from New Orleans International Airport: Take I-10 East into New Orleans. Stay in the left most lane and continue onto I-610 East to Slidell. Take exit 3, and turn right onto Elysian Fields. Continue for approximately 2 miles and turn left onto Dauphine Street. Go three blocks to the first stop sign and take a right onto Spain Street. Proceed one block to Royal Street where we are on the corner of Royal and Spain Streets. Parking is free and plentiful and on-street! (Unbelievably, half the taxi drivers at the airport do not know the streets of the French Quarter-- even with a million tourists a month heading there. So be prepared to direct them.) I suggest calling a New Orleans based cab company, United Cab. They sit at a cab stand across the street from the Airport. Call them at (504) 522-9771 and they will drive around and pick you up relatively quickly. They will know the way...
