Inn Details
Selected in 2007 as one of the Top Ten most romantic Inns in America by Iloveinns and American Historic Inns, and also featured on the Today Show in 2006, Magnolia Mansion is the perfect romantic, historic and haunted getaway. Experience the grandeur of Old New Orleans as you step back into a time of peaceful, elegant luxury.
As an adult only property, Magnolia Mansion is ideal for couples seeking a relaxing getaway, or to celebrate an anniversary, honeymoon, proposal or even an elopement (elopement/small wedding packages available!).
Because we cater to Romantic Rendezvous’, all overnight guests must be adults 21 years or older, & we do not accommodate children or pets.
Also Note: There is a non-smoking policy strictly enforced at Magnolia Mansion; however, smoking is allowed outside on the veranda.
Centrally located one block from the St. Charles Street Car (right off the Mardi Gras & Saint Patrick Day Parade routes), minutes from most major attractions, the French Quarter, great restaurants, shopping, Convention Center, Superdome and the Mississippi River Paddle Boats.
Historically known as the Harris Maginnis Mansion, and once the headquarters of the American Red Cross during World War II (1939 -1954), it now operates as Magnolia Mansion one of New Orleans finest upscale Bed and Breakfast Inns. With eleven phenomenal Corinthian columns, a grand wrap-around veranda, framed by massive oak trees, Magnolia Mansion is one of New Orleans most majestic, most photographed and most treasured Historic Garden District Antebellum Homes (built in 1857-58).
