NOLA getaway

4.0 on March 31, 2016

The owner was a charming lady who filled us in on the history of the house after calling and inviting us to arrive even earlier than our scheduled arrival (and we did). Our room was adorable and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely stay at the mansion

Old world charm, well situated close to Frenchmen and the Quarter but quiet. Private, cosy, lovely courtyard and gracious welcoming hostess. Would stay again.

Pleasant but a bit unwieldy

Nice people, location was good for walking and access to Frenchman's street, should warn folks who might not be able to navigate two sets of very steep stairs so that it is not a surprise. Enjoyed sitting outside when it was not raining.

Had a wonderful stay in the Enchanted cottage. Perfect location to experience NOLA. We were steps away from Frenchman St. Ruth gave us terrific advice on where to eat and what to see. Or cottage was private, clean and comfortable. Would definately return.

The Lanaux Mansion was the perfect place to call home while visiting New Orleans. It was close to everything. We walked everywhere. We will be back and hopefully very soon. Thank you Miss Ruth!

Beautiful room, great location, exceptional service

A quiet, clean room, filled with beautiful furniture. Exceptionally thoughtful touches, one day it was raining heavily, an umbrella provided by the management showed up on my doorstep (without being asked for). Well stocked room with great snacks no charge, fruit, bandaids, dish soap, plenty of really nice towels. This place exceeded my expectations.

Charming old home and I truly felt like Ruth's house guest. Her dining recommendations were spot on. Very convenient walk to everything. Was worried about parking but not a problem as you can pull up to the house to unload. Very safe lot 2 blocks away. Our 3 night stay in the Lanaux Suite was great fun.

Charming step back in time
