Weekend reunion

4.8 on April 07, 2016

Visited the Hubbard Mansion for the first time and it was outstanding in every way. We will most assuredly stay there every time we return to New Orleans. Absolutely lovely home and owner. Safe, secure, and with on-site parking. Perfect place!

Another enjoyable stay!

My husband and I have stayed at the Hubbard Mansion several times over the last 3 years. The location is wonderful - on St. Charles Avenue in the loverly Garden District. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast is delicious.

Comfortable Carriage House Apartment

4.4 on March 23, 2016

We met our son in New Orleans for the weekend and stayed in the two bedroom apartment in the carriage house in the back. It was perfect for us. We had a comfortable living room to visit in. Each bedroom had an en suite bath. The location was quiet, but had easy access to the trolley and a Fresh Market store. There is off-street parking in front of the carriage house. Breakfast is not included with the apartment. Sheila and Don were very nice and made us feel welcome. I have already recommended Hubbard Mansion to several friends. A great place to stay in New Orleans.

Amazing place to stay!

4.2 on March 21, 2016

We booked at the last minute right before st Patrick's day and still got an amazing deal. The mansion itself is beautiful. The story of the mansion is even better, make sure to browse the clipping in the main hall. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is basic but just right and the shower pressure was perfect! You will not find a better location.

Great Bed & Breakfast

This was our first trip to New Orleans and we were very happy with the city and the accommodations! The B&B was beautiful, comfortable, and the staff was above wonderful! The rooms were spacious, very clean, and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We will be staying here on our next trip to the area and cannot recommend it highly enough!

Highly Recommend For Your Stay in the Garden District

5 on March 14, 2016

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hubbard Mansion when we were in New Orleans for a Convention. Sheila and Mr Hubbard were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I was in a wheelchair during our stay and the facility was accessible on the main level. The breakfasts were homemade and very tasty. The B&B is convenient to the Garden District, Convention Center, Magazine Street, and The French Quarter. The St Charles StreetCar is right outside. There was ample parking and it was easy to find at night. I would highly recommend staying at the Hubbard Mansion and we will definitely be return.

Southern Hospitality at Its Very Best

5 on March 10, 2016

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Hubbard Mansion, a terrific family owned and operated bed-and-breakfast located in the Garden District, and would recommend it highly to all of our friends who might be planning a trip to New Orleans in the future. The rooms are clean, well-lit, and beautifully appointed with antique furniture selected from the proprietors' personal collection. There is plenty of parking in the rear (i.e., off the street), and the St. Charles streetcar stops only 100 feet from the front door. Most importantly, though, Don and Sheila are the most gracious hosts, ever eager to please and to see to it that your stay in the city they call home is an enjoyable one. Truly, this is southern hospitality at its very finest, and if we had any regret at all, it was only that we had to go back home! Thank you again, Don and Sheila. We enjoyed meeting you, and look forward to seeing y'all again soon! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Amazing!

This was our first trip to New Orleans and we hit the jackpot with this B&B! Beautiful house with wonderful accommodations! The owner, Mr. Hubbard, Sheila, and all the staff very welcoming and made us feel so at home and relaxed!! We were able to park at the B&B and take the streetcars out front for all our site seeing adventures and did not have to worry about driving!!This will be the place we stay for return trips to New Orleans!!!

Lovely Stay!

I will always stay at the Hubbard Mansion whenever I visit New Orleans. Don & Sheila are wonderful hosts, the mansion is spotless and the food is divine. The location is great, the streetcar is right out front. I was a few stops from the university my daughter is attending and a few stops in the other direction to many fun attractions. I loved it!

A Wonderful Find

This really is a gem of a place. It's a beautiful place, easy to get to, in a lovely neighborhood. We were able to walk to dinner, and felt safe doing so. Don and Sheila are gracious and welcoming hosts. We particularly enjoyed meeting and chatting with other guests at breakfast. The beautiful big front porches made for perfect people watching and relaxing at the end of a busy day.

Henry II (King)

Graceful Louis XVI reproductions (circa 1840) of walnut with lemonwood inlay recall the extravagance of Marie Antoinette. Discovered in Toulouse, France, the brass filigree period furnishings include a fabulous king bed with a triple bevel- mirrored armoire and marble-topped double dresser. Sunshine fills the room from a floor to ceiling front window overlooking historic St. Charles Avenue.

A Charles Lock Eastlake (Am. circa 1880) mint condition half-tester double bed demonstrates the rectangular lines that are signature Eastlake. Victoria (King)

Rich jewel tones befit the majesty of a museum quality Prudence Mallard (circa 1840-1870) four-poster, full tester king bed. The prized French Creole bed features Mallard's signature egg along with intricately carved mahogany curves. A triple rosewood French armoire balances the bed's proportions. Brieon (King)

Arguably the most regal, this very private room is the stuff of dreams. Folds of burgundy moiré drape regally from a custom-designed crown-canopy king bed.
