I'm not a big B&B person but we really wanted to stay out of the French Quarter and near Frenchman St. The Elysian Fields Inn fit that bill and had good reviews so we chose it. I'm glad we did (and not just because of the adorable dogs that live there). First, if you want to hang out in the Marigny, this is in the perfect location. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Leigh and Jim were very accommodating and a pleasure to chat with. We didn't have time to really stay for breakfast, but it certainly smelled delicious. Overall, we had a great stay!

Barbara and Joe Dee were thrilled about the appearance and comforts at the Elysian Fields Inn in New Orleans. The home was lovely in everyway. The owners were personable and easy to be around, being neither overbearing nor inaccessible. The breakfast meals were perfect and custom made and the extras were just right. We could not have expected anything more perfect for our stay in New Orleans in April.

It was my husband's first trip to NOLA and I wanted it to be special. Jim and Leigh made it just that! The attention to our comfort and every detail of our stay was amazing! We can't wait to go back! Not only is their home lovely and the room very comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful and the conversations even better! Jim and Leigh are very knowledgeable of the area so we were well prepared when we ventured out. We are huge public transportation fans so, with their help, we visited every area of NOLA for $3 a day! What a great trip because of GREAT people and their lovely Inn!

We took a chance on this inn after reading other reviews and we couldn't have been happier. The neighborhood was a peaceful alternative to the Quarter but close enough to walk every day to everything downtown. Our hosts were gracious and the room was immaculate. Book early if you want this option for Mardi Gras!

New place, friendly owners. Location is great for walking to Frenchman & Quarter. Owners knowledgeable of area and restaurants. Historic home in need of some updates to be rated higher. Breakfast good and atmosphere relaxed, but just average for the price. Price primarily tied to location. We would definitely stay again but primarily for location.
