A remarkable transformation and renovation has taken place here, where you literally step back in history into an 1860's Grand Inn with every comfort of the 21st century at hand. Our location, in the historic Faubourg Marigny section of New Orleans enables our guests to enjoy the close proximity of the French Quarter (only 5 blocks) and the Frenchman Street shops and restaurants

Elysian Fields Inn is a fine place to stay - good location just outside the Quarter so it's quieter but convenient - especially to Frenchman Ave which is a hoppin place for music. Leigh and Jim are gracious hosts with lots of good tips of where to go and who to see. Of all the B&Bs we've stayed in this had the best mattresses - according to us and the two other couples we brought along! good breakfasts, fine coffee, nice morning and evening porches, a lovely old home.

Elysian Fields was around the corner from Frenchmen St. and close proximity to all great spots in New Orleans. My friend and I kept our car parked for the 2 days we were here and chose to walk everywhere. Breakfast was simple, choice of either eggs or fruit parfait and (most importantly) coffee was excellent. Owners have been here for almost a decade and are full of useful tips and recommendations. I would definitely refer friends to this B+B gem.

We stayed at the Inn for a friend's wedding and we had a fantastic time. Jim and Leigh keep the inn immaculate and they make sure you are well taken care off. The room was very nice, clean and the breakfast was a perfect way to start the morning. The common area provides a great homey feeling while away from home and sitting at the patio was truly relaxing. Definitely a great stay!

I enjoyed my stay at Elysian Fields Inn. It's located a few blocks from the French Quarter, so walking was no problem, and the Inn itself is less than 10 miles from I-10/610. Jim was kind enough to park my vehicle in the garage, so I didn't have to worry about parking on the street, which can be perilous. All of the amenities were on par with any high scale hotel chain. The tub has jets and they give bath salts, too. Zeke and Louis (resident dogs) are well mannered and trained to not bother guests. The bedding was a little dated and the spread had some stains on the underside. Other than that, no complaints.

Very comfortable rooms. Leigh & Jim are pleasant and knowledgable (but phasing out of the b&b business). The Inn is a couple of blocks from the clubs on Frenchmen Street, the direction you'd want to walk. The Quarter is just beyond Frenchmen Street.

Arriving from Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY): Take I-10 East to the I-610 split. Take I-610 (sign reads: Slidell) to the third exit (Elysian Fields). Exit I-610 and turn right; past the 4th traffic light, 930 is in the center of the block on the right hand side.
