A remarkable transformation and renovation has taken place here, where you literally step back in history into an 1860's Grand Inn with every comfort of the 21st century at hand. Our location, in the historic Faubourg Marigny section of New Orleans enables our guests to enjoy the close proximity of the French Quarter (only 5 blocks) and the Frenchmen Street shops and restaurants

Such a good place. Wonderful old house, cosy rooms, perfect location, just stop spes away from French Quarter. The new owners, Bob & Michelle were very helpful and gracious. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in New Orleans. Therefore no on-site dining, but briefest only. Breakfasts were delicious. Great Stay.

Our first time in New Orleans, unsure on what to expect. Our host was friendly and offered alternatives to Bourbon Street. Our room was cozy and comfortable. The restroom as a little small but clean. The location is a perfect distance from all the sites the French Quarter has to offer. We will definitely be visiting again.

Elysian Fields Inn far exceeded all expectations. Bob and Michelle helped us to steer clear of all the tourist traps, pointing us toward great music and incredible food. We were a short walk from the French Quarter and right by Frenchman Street (which quickly became our favorite area). Breakfast was always delicious and the room was very comfortable. We felt like we really lucked out with this gem and would certainly stay here again!

My first stay in a B&B. Wonderful experience made even better by the owners, Bob and Michele. They were very knowledge about local events and current happenings in the city. Provided info on local transportation and entertainment. Excellent advice on insider entertainment, restaurants, and areas to avoid. .

The Inn keepers are welcoming, their breakfasts are interesting, the rooms are comfortable, the other guest were friendly and the proximity to Frenchman Street means that if you are interested in music this is an ideal place to stay. When we visited there was no provision for laundry - a pity.
Thank you for the kind review. I wish you would have asked because we always make our laundry available upon request.

What a fabulous experience at Elysian Fields Inn! We had a reservation at another B&B that was cancelled on us about 3 weeks before our trip to New Orleans for our niece's wedding. I called and spoke with Michelle and was instantly impressed with how helpful and friendly she was. She was very sympathetic to our situation and we were happy to discover they had one room available. I booked it immediately and Michelle put me at ease when she said they were looking forward to our visit. It was like visiting with good friends. The weekend was great, the wedding was wonderful and our stay was a big part of an enjoyable weekend. Bob is an exceptional cook and even made us fresh fish for breakfast. Everything was delicious!! We would highly recommend Elysian Fields Inn and will do so to all of our family and friends. Last but certainly not least, Beck is the best "Inn Dog" ever!! Best wishes for continued success!

The Elysian Fields Inn is the perfect place to stay in New Orleans. Hosts Bob and Michelle welcomed us warmly, made us feel at home, the rooms are comfortable and the food is delicious. They are also fonts of information about what is going on during your stay and their favorite places. The Inn is within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter--food, music, transportation, etc. We highly recommend it as the place to stay while visiting New Orleans and surrounding areas.

Our stay at the Elysian Fields Inn made our New Orleans experience! The historical house is a real beauty. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated and included Aveda amenities!! Michelle and Bob are wonderful hosts. Delicious homemade breakfasts, complete with fresh fruit, pastries and even champagne on Sunday! Bob's tips on places to visit was comprehensive and spot on! And the occasional visit from Beck (the dog) in the communal living room made me feel at home. Lastly, the location of the Inn is perfect. Only a 3 minute walk to Frenchman Street and a short walk further North to hidden local gems!! Just ask Bob where to go...

Bob and I met in high school and have lived in Louisville KY and Atlanta GA before moving to New Orleans to take ownership of Elysian Fields Inn. One of our two daughters started her nursing career here and soon after met her husband, a native of New Orleans. We decided to consider a move here and we stayed at Elysian Fields Inn on one of our many visits. We fell in love with the Inn and are honored to carry on it's 15 year tradition of wowing guests.
