A remarkable transformation and renovation has taken place here, where you literally step back in history into an 1860's Grand Inn with every comfort of the 21st century at hand. Our location, in the historic Faubourg Marigny section of New Orleans enables our guests to enjoy the close proximity of the French Quarter (only 5 blocks) and the Frenchman Street shops and restaurants

Easy walk to French Quarter. Great restaurants and bars nearby: the Blue Nile, Spotted Cat, Mona's Cafe. B&B was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was limited and disappointing, undercooked and fewer optionsthan expected.
I am so sorry that this guest found our breakfasts to be disappointing. Other guests have quite a different experience. At the Inn we do not try to compete with the world class chefs in New Orleans but try to make sure our guests have a home cooked breakfast to fuel their early morning sightseeing of our wonderful city. There are always three choices available...Bake Goods from our neighborhood bakery, a cold choice that is fresh fruit, granola and yogurt in a parfait and a hot choice that changes daily. The hot choice could be a frittata, bacon and eggs, a breakfast casserole or waffles/pancakes. I have never had anyone tell me my food was undercooked. I wish this guest would have told me so I could rectify the situation.

My husband and I recently stayed at Elysian Fields B&B. We love the French Quarter and especially the Frenchmen St area. EF is a quick walk to Frenchmen St and all the action there. The Marigny Triangle neighborhood is wonderfully quiet. The house is beautiful and Jim and Leigh are excellent hosts. Our breakfast both mornings was outstanding. We will definitely be back! Thank you Jim and Leigh for our wonderful stay.

We recently decided to stay in the Marigny. This place was the perfect place. Clean rooms. Just a short walk to the French Quarter and the operators were nice and friendly. Even enjoyed the dog Zeke. There are a few local gay bars in the area we ended up in and had a great time. I highly recommend this to anyone

I prefer to stay in Bed and Breakfasts and I've been in my far share of good and bad, but this one was by far one of the best!

Jim and Liegh are excellent hosts and everything about the inn made us feel at home. Easy walking distance to the French Quarter.

I was in New Orleans for a conference, and I was having troubles finding a hotel room, so I decided to take a chance and try a bed & breakfast. I was not disappointed. The home had a lot of charm. My room was very comfortable, and the kitchen/dining area was welcoming. The home was immaculate. I visited Frenchmen Street both nights of my stay at Elysian Fields Inn, and walked to and from the Inn both nights. That may not have been the smartest move on my part as a woman out by myself, but I did not have any troubles. My only regret was that I had to leave so early in the morning, I could not eat the breakfast. I would definitely stay at a bed & breakfast again in lieu of a hotel room.

Took advantage of the secure parking and did not move the car for 3 days. Great location easy walk to French Quarter and took buss and trolley to get around. The owners save us much time by knowing the zoo was closed on Monday so we switched our plans ahead of time. Nice breakfast, fed but not stuffed.Quiet sleeping quarters but lively bar on the corner. Will stay here again next time in New Orleans.

We booked two nights but liked it so much that we booked a further night. Tha B&B was in a brilliant location, only about 10 minutes from restaurants, bars and a lively nightlife but in a characterful residential neighbourhood. Leigh and Jim were excellent hosts who offered suggestions of places to visit etc and Jim parked our car safely in his garage for the time we were there which was really useful. The home cooked breakfasts were different everyday and delicious! We would definitely stay here again.
