Creole Gardens Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast
The Creole Gardens Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast comprises two historic nineteenth century mansions and a two story servants quarters, surrounding a lovely, quiet banana courtyard. We are tucked on Prytania Street between Talia and Melpomene Streets, one short block off of the hustle and bustle of St. Charles Avenue and its streetcars (which can take you to the French Quarter in less than ten minutes). We are also only a few blocks away from Magazine Street and its hip coffee and antique shops. A few blocks away are the Garden District, Lafayette Cemetery and the world inhabited by author Anne Rice¿s characters. We have 26 individually decorated rooms. Seven rooms are located in the Bordello Annex -- decorated in over-the-top Storyville style. These rooms boast thirteen foot ceilings, mantle pieces, and hardwood flooring. Four rooms are located in the main mansion. These rooms are huge and rich with original details. The remaining rooms are in the main mansion's original servant's quarters, overlooking the banana courtyard. We finished our complete renovation in 2004. Besides new wiring and plumbing, our rooms are equipped with new custom made king and queen sized beds, state of the art telephone system, cable TV, ceiling fans and free high speed 10/100 internet connecitons. The feel of our place is quiet comfort, splendor, fun and tradition -- all rolled into one. Many of our guests come back year after year. We hope you will too.

If you are driving from the airport, take Highway 10 EAST to New Orleans and when you hit the sign around the SuperDome that reads "Business District -- 90" take it. (DO NOT go where it says "10 East Slidell")
Get off at St. Charles/Carondelet Street Exit (the second exit after the SuperDome exit -- DO NOT cross the Mississippi River Bridge.
Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto St. Charles Avenue (the route of the Streetcar) and go a few blocks. Turn left onto Melpomene St. Go to end of block and turn left at first light onto Prytania Street. The 1415 Creole Gardens is on the left in the middle of the block.

- Deposit amount required (Generally, we ask for half of the anticipated total bill at the time of booking in order to reserve your room. )

- Cancellations:
Because we a so small, we cannot absorb last minute cancellations. Therefore, we generally do not refund within two weeks of the scheduled arrival date, unless there are extenuating circumstances or if we can replace the booking. For special events or high season, we generally cannot refund if our guests cancel within three weeks of their arrival date. Once again, however, since we value our repeat guests and our famous goodwill, we will try to work with you if you need to cancel for a good reason.
