The 1896 O’Malley House Bed & Breakfast is located in Mid-City. We are just a few minute STREETCAR RIDE DOWN CANAL ST. to the French Quarter and Convention Center. It is in a neighborhood that boasts great food, music and culture. Within a three-block radius, guests can partake of cuisines that range from Creole and Cajun French to other ethnic foods such as Greek, Italian or Mexican. Nearby is Rock and Bowl, which is great fun for music, dancing and bowling! Our guests can also RIDE THE STREETCAR TO THE FAIRGROUNDS—home of the new orleans JAZZ AND HERITAGE FESTIVAL. City Park, which houses the world class New Orleans Museum of Art, is also just a short walk from the house. Endymion, which is a famous Mardi Gras parade, rolls through Mid-City too! All of our bedrooms are tastefully furnished with some antiques and reproductions. Their cypress doors and hardwood floors are beautifully refinished. All of the bedrooms have Queen-sized beds and PRIVATE BATHROOMS with granite countertops - MOST HAVE JACUZZIS. We have a bedroom with KING-SIZED BED too. The third floor has two charming bedrooms with pickled wood walls and private bathrooms. There are data-ports for laptop computers,Wireless DSL Internet, telephones with private voicemail, cable color televisions, Hair dryers, guest robes and much more! The O’Malley House received the 2001 Golden Hammer Award from the Mayor’s Office for its restoration. It was COMPLETELY RENOVATED in 2000. An expanded continental breakfast is served in the lovely downstairs dining room.
