My husband, daughter, and I really enjoyed staying at the O"Malley House. The house is beautiful and the hosts are fun, casual, and hospitable. I would stay there again if I go back to NOLA. The location was perfect as a base for us to go anywhere we wanted to go. I highly recommend the 1896 O'Malley House.

The O'Malley house is perfect for couples who want the French Quarter close by, but want to get some quiet time as well. Larry is a wonderful host, the accomodations are super comfortable, the area is close to many great local restaurants, and it's a short cheap taxi ride to the Quarter. You can't go wrong here unless you want to be in the loud chaotic rush of Bourbon Street, then this isn't your place.

    Great stay at O'Malley House

1896 O'Malley House was a wonderful suprise. The rooms were spacious and quiet. Larry our host was fantastic and really made us feel at home. The location in Mid-City is perfect. You could walk to local restaurants or hop on the street car across the street for a quick trip to downtown.

We had a great stay at the 1896 O'Malley House. Our hosts were warm and inviting and took the time to make sure we were settled in and having a great stay. The room was clean and comfortable and made for a nice homebase for our adventures in New Orleans. The room we stayed in was rumored to be haunted and, while it wasn't scary at all, there were a few strange and unexplainable events. It wasn't at all scary and actually added to the adventure. :)

    a lovely visit

Everyone was super helpful here. They know the town and steered us away from the tourist traps and into the RIGHT restaurants. The house is easily accessible via the street cars and only about 15 minutes from the center of town (provided the street car operators don't go on break 1/2 way along the ride). The rooms were really nice, and kept clean daily. Breakfast was nice and provided a good base to get the day started. Soda, beer, snacks were kept stocked and the water cooler was welcome Thanks very much guys!
