LOVED IT!

5 on April 22, 2015

Loved the whole experience! A quick road trip just hours from home was so worth it. The charm of this boutique hotel, the pub, the restaurant, the downtown stroll - just what a couple needs to be reminded of the simple life - with elegant touches. Highly recommend this place, and we will be back!

Innkeeper Response

EASTER

5 on April 09, 2015

Have been staying at the Booker-Lewis for several years now. Never disappointed, always a great stay. Nice rooms, great service, great staff. The best place to stay in Leesville. The Booker-Lewis Restaurant is also exceptional. J R & Karen Willis

Innkeeper Response

Had A Very Good Stay

4.0 on March 15, 2015

Overall was a very good experience and would definitely stay again. I am planning to bring my wife back to visit here. Staff was very friendly and food was good though might be a little inconsistent. The Pub was a great place to enjoy a drink and eat some food. The only issue was that a mainline train track was only a few hundred yards away and due to the frequency of the trains was a lot of noise. When I was sleeping though did not really notice it.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for being our Guest and for taking the time to write this review. I apologize for being so late in responding as I have been busy "catching up" from being out for surgery. The trains can be loud...fortunately we do have complimentary earplugs just for the occasion!

Great dinner, great stay

4.6 on March 04, 2015

I recently stayed at the Booker-Lewis House and want to compliment the Mr. Rose, the proprietor, as well as the head chef. This was my fourth stay there and each of the other times Mr. Rose has checked me in himself, which is a nice touch. This time, Mr. Rose was occupied and the head chef checked me into my room. We struck up a short conversation during which I told him that I attempt to eat a vegan diet. He asked what kinds of food I liked and suggested that I order the "Surprise Me" item from the dinner menu, which I did. When plate arrived, it was fabulous in terms of ingredients, taste and presentation. Beautifully arranged and full of many types of veggies--just what I wanted--with a wine reduction sauce. Hurray! I will definitely be staying there and ordering this again! The next morning, Mr. Rose personally attended to my request for some coffee in the house where I was staying. If you are looking for a charming, historic property, full of character and good service, this is a great place to stay.

Innkeeper Response
