Their lives changed - they opened their own business - a lawn and landscape maintenance business - and then a B&B. They are living their dreams. Don loves to work outside, exercise and live healthy. Linda loves to garden (La. Master Gardener class of 1998), collect antiques and architectural salvage, and renovate old homes.

We were traveling form Oklahoma To Florida on a Family Vacation. Camellia House was recommended to us from a friend who lived in Mobile. WE were not disappointed. We were greeted in southern fashion, shown to our room and shown the top notch amenities. We were traveling with children and the accommodation was blissful! Even the children loved it! We were in walking distance of food. The owners were very accommodating. This Bed and Breakfast will be getting our return business. It was a vacation from our vacation! Thank you.

Completely Charming! I would stay here again...

I stayed here on a business trip to St. Tammany Northshore and decided to add an extra night for leisure because I enjoyed it so much. Linda is a wonderful host with recommendations for everything. It feels like your staying at your new friend's home. Great bedding, cute rooms. Nice pool and hot tub. The back yard is like a secret little oasis tucked away. Bicycles to use...great breakfast. And lots of thought to the little extras in the rooms. From the movies to the magazines to the foot scrub! I highly recommend you stay here when exploring greater New Orleans....the safer, quieter side!

Home away from home. My room was spacious: a bedroom, breakfast nook (microwave, fridge, coffee machine, etc.) and full bath. Each room had a dedicated part of the wrap-around porch which actually served as an outdoor room. The hostess was open and friendly while honoring her guests' privacy. I had a great time and will definitely return.

What a perfect B&B! The character and charm of an older cottage with modern amenities like wireless internet, swimming pool, hot tub, and even an air purifier! From the table set with wine glasses and "the good china" in our room upon arrival to the splashes of color in potted plants strategically placed around the property, Linda & Don have nailed the small details. Other extras included bikes for guest use, plenty of movies to watch on a rainy day, a shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser installed in the shower, and warm throws to wrap yourself in while lounging on the porch. Linda is accommodating but not invasive, offering plenty of information on local fare and festivities. She'll keep your fridge and pastry dish well-stocked, and if that doesn't make you smile her friendly personality sure will. She seemed genuinely pleased to share her home and town with us--"innkeeper" is definitely her calling. If you make Covington your next destination, be sure to take a bike ride down the Tammany Trace to Abita Springs, and bring an ice chest so you can take home some delicious finds from the Farmer's Market held every Saturday morning across from the Covington Police Department. We're hooked on Covington and Camellia House and can't wait to return!

Staying at the Camelia B&B was just what the doctor ordered and many times I felt rejuvinated. My husband and I escaped away to this charming house last minute and were constantly blown away by the southern hospitality of the inn keepers. This B&B instantly charms once arrival with it's cozy hammocks, porch swings and beautiful landscaping. Everywhere we turned, we saw so many special touches that made our stay a true joy. We had fresh fudge in our room along with fresh pastries that were homemamde that day and quite delicious. We felt like we truly escaped to a place of rest and peace. The rooms were elegant and and the soothing fountains by the pool were quite relaxing. Linda the innkeeper went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She even let us know all the town has to offer. She even called to look into any live music venues for us before arrival as well as showed us a map with recommended some superb dining once we arrived. We also partook of the bikes they lend out and rode down to the farmers market, everything was close by and convenient. Fun shops, events, restaurants all within walking distance, but to be honest...We would have been fine staying there all day! We even had dinner in one night by drinking wine in the hot tub and then ate cheese and other appertizers from our porch balcony. This B&B stole our hearts and Linda and her husband really ministered to our souls that weekend. For all you get, the price is unbelievable! Cannot wait to return!
