Splendor Farms Bed and Breakfast
Splendor Farms is a relaxing, family-friendly country getaway situated on a working Louisiana farm just 1 hour north of New Orleans and 1 1/2 hours east of Baton Rouge. We have 3 guest bedrooms, a private guest apartment, horseback riding, swimming pool with poolside jacuzzi, hiking, biking, fishing, and much more. Just 1/4 mile up the road is the scenic Bogue Chitto River, where you can go horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, inner tubing, or just have a picnic and enjoy all the nature surrounding you. Perfect for nature and animal lovers, and busy city folks looking for a place "to get away from it all." We can accommodate you, your children, and your pets. Guest room rates include horseback riding, pool and poolside jacuzzi, fishing, and a hearty gourmet breakfast courtesy of hostess Kelly Bensabat.

From New Orleans, take the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. Across the lake, continue on US-190W to Covington LA, then make a right on to LA-21 (Military Road). Stay on LA-21 for 12 miles, then make a left on Lavinghouse Road. Follow Lavinghouse Road until it ends, then make a left on to LA-40 and a right on to Mill Creek Road. "La Petite Maison" (The Little House) is a private apartment perfect for families, small groups, or couples seeking a private home away from home. It has a full kitchen, comfortable living and dining areas, air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD and VHS. Fully furnished, it sleeps up to 6-7 people. Cost is $275/night (including meals), or $250/night (without meals). Rates are based on double occupancy. An extra charge of $25 per night applies for each additional person.

Cancellations within 14 days of arrival/check-in date are subject to charge for the entire reservation if room cannot be comparably re-booked. Any nights that are re-booked will be refunded.
