Praline Pecan French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread 12-16oz.
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Praline Topping
  • 1 cup butter room temp.
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

  1. Slice bread into 20 1" slices.
  2. Generously butter 2 9x13 pans.
  3. Place in 1 layer of bread slices. Beat together first group of ingredients. Pour over slices. Cover & refrigerate overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 350. Mix Praline topping (except nuts) and spread evenly over bread; sprinkle with pecans. Bake 40 mins until puffed and golden.
  5. Serve w/ syrup, honey or fruit
