BRADFORD PLACE POACHED PEARS

Ingredients

  • 8 Fresh pears, Bosc or Bartlett
  • 4 cups Apple Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Whole cloves
  • 1 cup Frozen blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Fruit yogurt, blended preferred

  1. Peel pears and place in apple juice with cloves in a microwave safe dish. Microwave 15 minutes. Turn over pears and cook another 15 minutes or until toothpick can be inserted easily into pears.
  2. Remove from oven. Place sugar and blueberries in a separate container and microwave 40-50 seconds. Remove.
  3. Arrange each pear on a flat dessert or other small plate by making 4-6 vertical slices from near the stem through the core to the bottom. Fan out the slices.
  4. Place a dollop of yogurt on each pear topped off with some blueberries and their juice. Garnish with an edible flower from your garden! Pansies and carnations work great!
