Conveniently located just one hour from Denver in the Colorado foothills near Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, Sylvan Dale’s 3200-acre Dude Ranch is nestled along the banks of Colorado's beautiful Big Thompson River. Sylvan Dale is an historic working horse and cattle ranch. Registered quarter horses are born and trained on the ranch, which also raises its own hay. The cattle herd is moved between pastures and mountain meadows throughout the year using a rotation system designed for environmentally sustainable grazing. Banker Charles Sheldon and his wife Martha Trimble Sheldon designed this home to reflect their tastes and prominent role in the bustling business community. Great care has been taken to preserve that atmosphere in combination with contemporary hospitality and amenities.
