Recently my husband and I stayed at the Pontchartrain Winds B&B. We have stayed in this area before and found the accomodations at this B&B exceptional. The cottage is super clean and so very peacefully decorated. It is two blocks from the Tammany Trace, a Rails to trails. And near to wonderful restaurants. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the Pontchartrain Winds on August 6-8. These cottages are located in the heart of historic Mandeville within walking distance of Lake Pontchartrain and several wonderful restaurants and attractions. The cottage we stayed in was very comfortable and the innkeeper was very hospitable. Our 2 small dogs were welcomed as one of the cottages is petfriendly. The cottage is also only a couple of blocks from Tammany Trace, a great Rails-to-Trails bike path. We enjoyed our stay and hope to go back in the future.
