If you're interested in doing the bourbon tour or Lincoln tour, we found the 1911 Montgomery Inn to be a great launch point. Beautiful older home with an eclectic dining room. Pam and her family were great hosts. Breakfasts were wonderful and delicious. We had dinner there one night and it was generous, as well as delicious. Would definitely stay there again. J & R

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Montgomery Inn. The staff was very attentive and the location of the B&B was in a quiet old neighborhood. We stayed in the Oriental Room, which has a quaint private porch. The Inn was lovely, but is in need of a "face lift" - the gardens need weeding, torn lampshades need replacing, outdoor cushions need cleaning, etc.

My husband and I were so lucky we picked up a last-minute cancellation. It was clearly advertised on their website and the online request was quick and easy. They got back to me right away to let us know we had the room. This was huge since, it was a last-minute necessity for us too. The rain and late Derby night put us behind schedule for our arrival time. I called ahead and they very kindly had our key ready and took care of us. The French room as luxurious, comfy and clean. It was a perfect place to spend a night have all day in the rain. Breakfast was waffles with banana, nuts and caramel sauce --- AMAZING! I can't praise the staff enough. I was sad it was only a one night stay. I'd loved to go back again.

We spent three nights at the Montgomery Inn, during a very busy time in the Lexington-Versailles area. Unlike most everyone else there, we were not there for anything horse-related, but we loved the atmosphere of excitement that was present. We stayed in the English Suite, which had an outside entrance. The room was lovely, and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the three breakfasts in the dining room, each one different. We found Pam and her family to be very helpful and friendly - good traits for innkeepers! We would stay here again if back in the area.

We had a nice stay and the inn keeper worked hard to make our stay for all of us very nice.

We wanted to take our time visiting our favorite bourbon distilleries, and this was a nice little spot to make our "half-way" point. The Montgomery Inn was very clean and comfortable, and close to a quaint downtown area for dinner. Pam cooked up a great breakfast for us and the coffee was great! We would stay again if in the area, and would recommend this inn to others!

Owners were very friendly. Great food in the morning and they won't let you leave hungry! I loved the front porch swing. Quick showers do to limited hot water. Location was on the outside of the historical area and you don't want to walk too far the other direction at night. There is not a lot to do in this area on sundays since most places are closed or only open a few hours. Overall I enjoyed our stay and would pick Montgomery Inn again to visit the bourbon trail.

Thanks for reviewing our Inn! We are glad you came. I wanted to mention two notes that may help future guests. Some of our rooms (Tara, Foxhunt, Maple) have a tankless hot water system which requires purging the line or you will experience pockets of varying degree water, we explain, post on the wall and again on the invoice, but it sometimes gets missed. This applies only to these rooms, once hot, it will flow without interruption. Sunday is still Sabbath in the south and many businesses observe this. We can help you plan your itinerary so that you have things "left" to so/do on Sundays--the KY Horse Park, Shaker Village and 2-3 of the 6 Bourbon Distilleries are open, and I believe many vineyards are also. Our sidewalk actually stops in one direction at our property and the lighting is limited as the road ventures into the farms, we are about 5 blocks from downtown the other way and there is plenty of walking to be done. Our downtown does close early but we are 15 minutes from shopping and restaurants in Lexington and Frankfort. Again, share with us your desires and we will guide you toward your goals. Thanks!

Staying at The Montgomery Inn is akin to pulling your favorite chair in the vicinity of an old "Home Comfort" wood-burning stove. The warmth is comforting, special, and genuine. We are always appreciative of the Innkeeper's attention to detail, interest in our well-being, and sincere hospitality. We highly recommend The Montgomery Inn for wayfarer's looking for a place to exhale and and enjoy Southern Hospitality as it is meant to be.

We enjoyed our stay at 1911 Montgomery Inn B&B. Our suite was lovely, the breakfast each morning was as pretty as it was delicious. The hospitality of the entire staff was warm and welcoming. This is the perfect location to stay while touring Bourbon Country or Horse Country or playing your luck at the Race Track. We would stay here again.

Room was great. Nice and big. Wife loved the Jacuzzi bathtub. Only issue we had was it is an old house, so noise in the hallway travelled and woke us up. And the bed was really squeaky. Every time I rolled over I woke my wife up. Breakfast was superb and service was prompt but unobtrusive.

I just visited here last weekend with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. We loved this place! We stayed in the Tuscan, which was very comfortable and a great value for the price. It was really nice to have a private entrance to our room, and we especially loved the two-person jacuzzi. Breakfast was fantastic. I don't think I've stopped talking about how great the french toast was since we left. Pam is so friendly and made us feel at home, and her kids are really professional and did a great job helping her. My boyfriend and I are already looking for an excuse to come back and stay here again. Thanks for making the weekend memorable!

Gracious Hostess and comfortable, quiet room. Even though I was traveling for business, the surroundings made me feel like I was on vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at Montgomery Inn with a delicious dinner. The innkeepers were very accommodating and we truly enjoyed their comapny.

Probably you best value of any lodging your gonna find in the Versailles/Frankfort/Lexington area. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Double jacuzzi hot tub, large bathroom with seperate shower and two sinks, a sitting space with flatscreen tv and a very confortable large bed in our room (English Room) made our stay perfect and invigorated us for another day on the Bourbon trail. Private parking right outside our room and a waffle with bananas and sausage for breakfast. 20 minutes to Four Roses and 30 to Wild Turkey is a nice advantage also. Very hospitable and sincere, which makes for the perfect hosts. If I am ever in the area again it will be my first choice. Thanks again!

My wife and I had a very nice weekend at this B&B. The room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The dining experience was especially enjoyable. I woke up early that morning, before breakfast was served, but I was still able to go into the dining area for coffee and a couple handfuls of snacks while I waited. And it was worth the wait. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. Pam has a great personality, and we enjoyed talking and joking with her while we ate. We definitely would recommend the Montgomery Inn for anyone staying in this area.

Recently stayed here for a weekend trip to KY. Was a great location. Nice rooms, good people running the place. Lots of character!

We had a quiet, peaceful weekend nestled into the Tara Suite at the Montgomery Inn. Pam's breakfasts were a visual delight and her waffles were enough, all by themselves, to make me glad we came. We used this as a launching pad for our first visit to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail (the Woodford Reserve distillery is about 20 minutes away) and greatly enjoyed two meals at two wonderful eateries in nearby Midway. Only regret is that I never figured out how to have a "normal" shower. The suite had a tankless water heater; even after we followed the directions to let the water run until it was consistently hot before getting in, I couldn't get it regulated to a personally comfortable temperature.

We only stayed one night, but would have enjoyed a much longer stay. Our room, the Colonial, was lovely, with a romantic electric fireplace, and a huge bath with a large Jacuzzi tub. We chose to dine at the inn, and were glad we did. The food was delicious, and the innkeepers and their daughter were warm and personable. Breakfast was equally good, and the presentation was delightful. Our stay couldn't have been better, and we look forward to "sneaking away" to the Montgomery Inn, again, in the future.

My girlfriend and I had a last-minute free weekend open up, and wanted to spend a quiet weekend "away from it all" - so we looked at bed and breakfast deals near us in Kentucky. The ca 1911 Montgomery Inn BnB looked to be exactly what we wanted - secluded, private suites with jacuzzi tubs big enough for two, and on-site dining so we wouldn't have to travel around in search of food once we got there if we didn't want to. The reservation process online was completely painless, and Pam, the innkeeper, contacted me via email to confirm details almost immediately. Everything was ready when we got there, including a delicious soup and salad dinner that was perfect after getting in from the cold. We stayed in the Oriental suite, complete with king-size bed, tv/dvd, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and plenty of room to move around and put our stuff down. Breakfast was delicious and cooked perfectly to order. Dinners were even better, with Pam being such an incredible chef, we felt confident leaving the menu up to her. My only complaint is that the walls between the rooms are a little thin - we had a neighboring couple our last night there, and they were enjoying each others' company......loudly. Other than that, the value for what we got, the accommodations, and the dining experience alone would each be reason enough to return again, and having all of that together means we will surely return, and be recommending it to our friends as well!

We had a marvelous time. The accommodations...cozy. The hosts were very gracious and friendly. They kindly invited us to share Christmas Eve dinner with their family and friends. We hope to stay again at Montgomery Inn and tour the local bourbon distilleries.

We stayed for two nights at the Montgomery Inn. Our room (French) was very nice. The jacuzzi and porch were a nice extra! Service was great. Food was excellent. Versailles is a quaint little town with many things to do in the area. Our room was in a secluded part of the inn and excellent for a quiet romantic getaway! We have stayed in a few B&Bs recently and would not hesitate to stay again in the Montgomery Inn BnB!!!

This is a rambling Victorian B&B with a new wing attached. The best part is reserving a special dinner prepared upon request. We did that two out of 3 nights. The B&B also has huge bath tubs, room for two people. That I didn't expect. The service was 5 star, and the quality of the food is superb.

My wife and I stayed in the Foxhunt suite for two nights. The hospitality was fantastic from the moment we walkin in the door. Nothing was ever lacking and we never found ourselves wishing we had something. We got fabulous recommendations for dinner and the breakfasts were great. The owner even woke up an hour earlier on our request so that we could get an early start on traveling home. Wasn't too expensive, and the people who owned it were so friendly and hospitable to everyone there.

The inn is quirky and charming in the best sense of the words. The food was amazing - worth the stay just for that. Pam and her family/staff were friendly and professional.

Decided to stay a night in the Lexington area, and found that the ca1911Montgomery Inn B&B had rooms available. Checked n and was greeted by Jason. He graciously showed us around, gave us some hints as to where to eat and what to see, and we also enjoyed some conversation with him. The room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The next morning we met Pam, who prepared a delicious breakfast for us (pumpkin pancakes with all the trimmings; yummy!) and was very attentive in filling our coffee cups and asking if we wanted anything else. We also had a pleasant conversation with her as well. We would like to have stayed longer, but we were on a tight schedule. A very charming place to stay!!

We were in town for the horse races. Could not have had a better place to stay than here.

We were greeted and welcomed as if coming to visit family. Not only was the room lovely and large, but the bathroom was huge! Found some delightful places to visit nearby in Midway.

This was our second visit to Montgomery Inn and hopefully will not be our last. It's just a comfortable place to be and the food is really good as well.

The Innkeeper and staff were very freindly and hospitable, and our room was very typical for a BnB. Our breakfasts were OK, but we would have preferred something a bit more traditional. We thought the overall cost was somewhat overpriced.

The Oriental room was spacious and comfortable. We really appreciated the mini-fridge, microwave and huge bathroom. The room is in the annex and was very quiet. Pam's breakfasts were delicious and enormous. Everyhing was lovely for our get-away.

The hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was very good and well presented. The dining area is very attractive and offered a pleasant atmosphere. The Maple room was a bit smaller than expected.

Very nice stay. Close to Keenland and the Bourbon Trail. Service went way beyond what I expected. Thanks Pam for taking care of us on our late arrival.

Pam, owner and manager, demonstrated true Kentucky hospitality and charm reflected in the turn of the century environment. Breakfasts were delicious and she offered concierge style assistance. Photos of Inn are a bit deceiving. General condition of the Inn was much less than elegant, and our room was not nearly as grand as it appeared in the picutre. Our mattress was so worn and lumpy and bed squeaked with every move. Neither of us slept. Overall cleanliness of the place was good, food better than average, and service was exceptional. Felt it was very overpriced for the experience and likely will not stay there again.

My parents and I stayed here during a short visit to Lexington to tour horse farms. 1911 BnB was great! Pam and her staff were so kind and just attentive enough. The rooms were very comfortable and we personally loved the HUGE selection of teas. Each night we sat on the cozy porch swing with a cup of tea before heading inside for another cup of tea and a movie. They have a large selection of DVD's that you can borrow.

We enjoyed the facility but mostly enjoyed the friendly owners and family.

The inn was nice and the food was good; however, the innkeeper was lacking in personality - hardly smiled, all business. Also, the room we stayed in on the first floor in the older part was at the front of the house with a window right by the porch with a swing. There was a couple on the swing that stayed there past midnight! We could hear every word they said. It was very annoying!! We turned the radio and the T.V. on just to try to drown them out and did not say much, ourselves, because we did not want them to listen to us. We actually really wanted to get some sleep (it had been a long day and we had to get up early). We would not stay at this inn again.

Thanks for reviewing our Inn. I do wish you would have dialed the phone-it rings to my cell at all times so I could have asked the chatty couple to take it to another location. It sounds like you were really tired. You are correct-your usually fun-loving innkeeper was all about business-my 15 yr old daughter was missing for 3 days, and while we tried not to spoil our guests' stays with a personal issue, I can't imagine having managed to smile much when my heart was breaking. She is home unharmed, even good kids do stupid things sometimes and innkeepers are on stage 24/7 no matter what life throws us. There are suites with private entrances that have less contact with the other guests for those who need peace and quiet. The horse racing season is generally pretty lively around here.

Room was nice. The bathroom in our room was very large and well appointed. We were downstairs just beside the stairs. It was a little noisy with folks coming in and out. The blackout blinds worked great. I liked the larger screen TV. The Eggs Benedict were great as well.

Rooms were nicely decorated, clean and comfortable as was the dining room but I was out at meal times. The rating system required a number to continue so I entered a middle rating but I honestly can't rate the dining. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

An interesting couple owns this B&B, our first breakfast was a great dish with lightly seasoned curried eggs, a delightful taste treat! We stayed several days and enjoyed their good service and friendly conversation. We were in the themed rooms in a wing off the back of the house. It was a comfortable room with a jaccuzi tub in the main room plus a shower/tub in the bathroom. Breakfast was in a large dining room and there was an additional lounge area with a big screen TV and lots of movies, books and games.

ABSOLUTELY loved ca 1911 Montgomery Inn BnB. Pam and her family were so kind, not to mention the food was excellent, and the jacuzzi was just what I needed. Will return, and hopefully soon.

We have stayed in B&Bs for the past 16 years and this was our second stay in a KY B&B as we traveled the Bourbon Trail. Our tastes and expectations may have been better suited for a stay in the main house instead of the newer “wing addition”. The interior of the inn is lushly decorated as depicted in photos on the website yet the exterior grounds did not meet our expectations. Both our dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay and the innkeepers. We stayed in the Tuscan room which was small but budget friendly. We like the concept of having the wing off the main house which had a private entrance. Would we consider revisiting this bed and breakfast.

This is our third year staying with Pam and the Montgomery Inn when we do the Bourbon Trail. My best friend and I have done the Bourbon Trail 3 years now, and we always look forward to seeing our friends there at Montgomery Inn BnB. Breakfasts are amazing, there is always coffee, tea, snacks available 24/7, and our room, the Tara Suite is situated right near the front porch for those cigars and sipping after the Trail. We highly recommend the Montgomery Inn when you're on the Bourbon Trail, in the area, or just want a nice weekend away from home - with a hometown feel - Pam and the family at Montgomery Inn are a great choice!!

Was the bed wonderful? Yes--slept like a baby. Oh, and I'm sure that having a hot tub IN EVERY ROOM makes this place even more relaxing. Or, maybe it's the hot tea bar. Or maybe the leather couches you can sink into like a bowl of jell-o. Or, maybe it's the Egyptian cotton bath robes. Or, maybe it's the whole package...yes, that's probably it. Regardless, relaxing night, wonderful sleep, sheets that smelled fresh and welcoming...and the BEST darn French toast I have ever eaten...ever. If it wasn't a four hour drive, I'd be tempted to go get another piece right now. Who am I kidding, I LOOK for reasons to go here, and you should, too!

Staff and ownership was courteous and responded positively to our requests. Our room, along with the inn itself, was in need of renovation and repair. Food was excellant!

Pam & her family/staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until our departure. Breakfast was very good although the portions served were huge. Spent 3 days with Pam and family at their B&B while doing the bourbon trail for our anniversary. The room we stayed in was wonderful, the breakfasts were hot and delicious, and there was never a shortage of coffee! Pam and family were great hosts...we spent several hours just sitting and talking with them about anything and everything. It was truly a relaxing experience. Highly recommend paying them a visit!

The family made sure all our needs were met. Ross is a culinary student and practices his art very well, under the mentorship of Pam, his mother, who is quite a chef in her own right. The moussaka was delicious, and the breakfast was very satisfying. We spent our anniversary here and the romance package met my expectations. The French room felt very private, romantic and relaxing.

Everything about the Montgomery Inn was charming. The room was clean and the bed was the best I have slept on. It was hard to get up in the morning to go sight-seeing! Breakfast was exceptionally delicious with fabulous options for vegetarians and those needing a gluten-free menu. Loved it and would visit again!

I really enjoyed the Foxhunt room. Very clean, and great tub. The house is quaint and has an old world feel. The service was good, and the people were great. We found a great restaurant in Midway that had several really nice dining locations. Overall we were very satisfied!

We recently spent our anniversary at the Montgomery Inn. The room was very cozy and much larger than expected. The room felt quiet and secluded which was a delightful surprise since we were on the main floor and near the staircase. The innkeeper was helpful without being intrusive, and the breakfasts were quite tasty and very filling. The inn framed a beautiful anniversary weekend, and we would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I found this place on the internet and thought it would be a great place to relax for the weekend. We had a great stay and enjoyed our breakfast. We stayed in the "Tara" room. We enjoyed the room and it was up to standard. The only negative aspect of our stay was the rooms were a little cold for us, our in room fridge did not keep our wine cool, and we needed a bigger TV. Our eyesight is not the same as when we were younger so it was hard to see. We normally would not have used the TV, but we wanted to watch what was left of the olympics. The Inn was very relaxing whether we were swinging away on the porch or shuffling through the house. Pam was great and we would return again if the opportunity arrises.

We are so glad you had a good stay. For folks who like a larger tv, 6 of the 10 suites have been upgraded to 32" flatscreens. The Main House is on central heat and air, most of the individual suites also have a heat producing fireplace for extra warmth and ambiance in the winter. The Four Wing Suites have individual thermostats for those who prefer less A/C than we need for the common areas and the kitchen. Good point-I'll try to include this info next time I update the room descriptions. The French is getting a facelift by the way, so the photo isn't depicting the new but still french decoration. The Oriental Room was wonderful. Beautiful view while sitting on the porch. Even a little kitty came for a visit. The breakfast was great. Can't wait to come back.

This B&B was very nice. It is only the second one I've stayed in, but I enjoyed it very much. Our room was off of the main entrance, so we had our own entry/exit, which was nice. No one was waiting for us to get home at night, which we liked. There are snacks, DVDs to borrow, bathrobes in your room, delicious breakfast. The owners were hospitable and kind.

Don't miss this awesome B&B! We stayed in the French suite. Loved the private porch with swing. Simply amazing.

We stayed in the English room of the Montgomery Inn B&B during the end of July. As soon as I walked in, I commented on the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. I spent many hours reading and soaking in the large jetted tub and even more time in the king-sized bed snuggling in among soft sheets and a luxurious comforter. The innkeepers are gracious and welcoming without making you feel that you HAVE to come out of your room to mingle. I felt that we were able to set our own pace. This was our second stay, but it won't be the last!

My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights in the Tara suite while touring the area on our motorcycles. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The soaking tub is great and the electric fireplace in the room is a bonus, especially since it has a no heat setting that allows you to use it during the summer months. The Inn offers free wifi and access to a decent DVD library, the only downside is the tv in the room is very small. The innkeeper was very helpful and the food was very good. We had no problems with noise from other rooms but the Inn was rather empty because we stayed on a Weds and Thurs night. I could see noise being an issue in the downstairs rooms when the Inn is full because the rooms are right off of the common areas. I was able to use my B&B.com giftcards without a problem.

Our husband enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated - the value was very nice. Everyone was very friendly. I would recommend it heartily.

Overall our experience was pretty good. We, however, had great hopes and high expectations for this B&B and it fell a bit short in a few areas. Breakfast was wonderful and the innkeepers were very nice. Our room was nicely decorated and the common areas were even better. Unfortunately, our room was a bit run down and needed some freshening up (no hangers in the closet and a filthy ironing board cover). Little things to fix, but they have a big impact when the price for the room is this high.

The Colony room was perfectly laid out with a comfortable queen size bed, separate bathroom with 2 person jacuzzi and nice shower pressure. My wife and I got in late and still were able to relax very quickly. The location is in a nice historic town close to everything. There were some excellent restaurants in the area. The service was good, food very good and air conditioning cool for an old home. After a stressful work season this was a perfect retreat. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Tuscan one night on our way through Kentucky. It was a great place to stay, very clean and quiet. Ross, Pam's son, made excellent recommendations on a great place to have dinner in nearby Midway. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the setup of the dining area allows guests to be social or keep to themselves. It was a staging point for the Bourbon trail, with Woodford Reserve being only a 20 minute drive away. We would definitely stay here again.

Versailles is a friendly place like most of Kentucky but downtown is not as special as other towns in the area. The scenic drives directly to Midway and along Old Frankfurt Pike to Lexington takes you through spectacular bluegrass horse farms. Midway has a few good restaurants and a couple of good bars with entertainment. Lexington has excellent restaurants, Keeneland and the Kentucky Horse Farm. Further out is Pleasant Hill, an exceptional example of a Shaker village.

Pleasant owners and staff. Stay here every time we visit Lexington, it's like coming to visit family. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms are very comfortable with lots of amenities and special touches!

The house and rooms were exceptional. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was DELICIOUS! We will definitely return, but maybe only for 1 night because of cost. Prices are comparable to other B&B's, but still costly.

I really like the Montgomery Inn. We stayed in the English room, it is very pretty. There room is huge- with a sitting area, a wet bar, frig and microwave. Even a fireplace and big screen TV. We have three in our group so they brought in a twin bed, there was plenty of room! The shower has two shower heads- great after a long day walking the cross country course at Rolex! The breakfast looked great- I'm vegan and they made me a beatiful fruit plate while my friends had huge waffles smothered in cream, bananas, and pecans! Very nice staff. All in all, a great experience! We'll be back!

The Montgomery Inn is located on a quiet street in the charming town of Versailles Kentucky (pronounce it like the locals: verr-sales, not like the French city!). The Keeneland horse track is close by, as are the Woodford Reserve and Wild Turkey bourbon distilleries. The hostess is very personable and guests are friendly, as are the locals. You can read the immense collection of books or borrow from the huge selection of DVD's, but we fund so much to do in the area that we didn't spend much time in the room. There are some terrific local restaurants (Melissa's Cafe was a highlight) and lots of local charm, especially the historic town of Midway.

Montgomery Inn has a great location for people taking the Bourbon Trail. We completed half of the trail on a Friday, stayed at Montgomery Inn and completed the second half of the trail on Saturday. It was easy to find, comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

This BnB has managed to preserve all the character of the old house it's in while offering a host of modern amenities. I took advantage of the jacuzzi tub both nights we stayed there, we spent time on the front porch swing enjoying the blooming trees, and our breakfasts were wonderful to wake up to! The owners accommodated our vegetarian food requests, and even upgraded our room for free to the just because they had it available. I think my favorite part was our last breakfast of buckwheat waffles with bananas, caramel, and walnuts. SO GOOD!

Thought the Inn met my expectations, it seems a little run down in places but for some that may add to its charm. When the guests in the other room were running the jacuzzi it made a noise, not unbearable but distracting. The meal we had was really good, the service was friendly but not anything special, one thing I did not like is that their cats seemed to have free run of the place, I am allergic to cats and it was a problem for me. Personally I would rate our weekend average, not anything special but not bad, just average.

Just a helpful note to clarify: Four of our rooms have exterior (private) entrances. We have outdoor only cats on site. We strive to let each guest know they are here and very friendly so that we can address concerns and also help keep them cat-free if needed. If you have similar needs, please choose a main house suite. A cat, you would rarely see more than one or two but we have four we share with our next door neighbor, may sleep on your veranda. They seem to think we humans are in need of close supervision. Have 20+ years in the respiratory therapy field prior to innkeeping so I understand all too well the problems asthma/allergy and cats can share. We have safe quarters with Oreck air filter available for good measure. It is indeed a now 101 year old house and there is always something in need of doing--we call it a labor of love. Thank you for taking the time to review us!

Comfortable, relaxing, hosts accomodating and breakfasts were good!

Pam was a lovely host and wonderful cook. She surprised us by adapting her menus to accommodate our preferences. The Inn was beautiful and well appointed. We enjoyed our jacuzzi tub and large bath in the Admiral suite. We would love to return to this inn on our next visit.

We enjoyed our stay here, our first time on the Bourbon Trail. Family run B and B, very good food, friendly atmosphere.

We used a living social promotion for our stay and the inn extended the validity without any problem. The food was excellent, dont expect to be on a diet!!! We highly recommend Melissa Cottage for dinner!!! The chicken pot pie and meat loaf were delicious!!! And th peanutbutter pie...to die for. The inn was comfortabe and inviting!!!! We will come back in the spring to enjoy the horse farms!!!

The owners weren't there the weekend we were, but their son and daughter made sure we felt at home! Food was very good, bed was very comfortable, and the whole staff made us feel welcome. There were plenty of DVDs to take to your room and snacks to enjoy while you watched your movie. I would definately go back to this B&B!!

We had a wonderful weekend in Bourbon Country at the Montgomery Inn. The food was great and the service was better. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We went with two other couples and had a ton of fun.

We had a wonderful time hiding away from the hustle and bustle on the night before Christmas Eve. Both my wife and I agreed that the night spent at the 1911 Montgomery Inn was the best night of our vacation. Pam and family were awesome and we feel like it was a home away from home.

Our stay at Montgomery Inn was outstanding. The family there made us feel as though we were part of their family. The food was excellent and equal to any expensive restaurant. I would recommend anyone to stay there, you will not regret it. Good value! Will most likely go back!

This place was GREAT! We had so much fun here. It's a nice quiet location. Not a ton of things to do in the immediate area, but plenty for the 2 days/nights that we stayed. Pam is just outstanding. She's very friendly and down to Earth. She was always engaged in conversation with guests. You can tell that she truly enjoys what she does. The food was delicious. The coffee was delicious. The chocolate covered strawberries were delicious. It's just the perfect place to unwind. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I just enjoyed a weekend stay at the Montgomery Inn BnB. We had a coupon from Living Social for a 2 night stay with two Boubon distillery tours, a discount on dinner at the Bnb and a half dozen chocolate strawberries on arrival.. We booked early and were able to reserve the French Room. Excellent room with heart shaped jacuzzi and separate entrance with a lovely porch. The decor was perfect and the room very generously sized. Bed was comfortable and though we were the far from the main house we had no trouble with the Wifi. Breakfast were great in taste an very creative. Our dinner was enjoyable and very generous in portions. Should we decide to visit this area again I would definitely book a room here. Thanks Pam and staff for the wonderful weekend stay! My fiancee and I spent two nights at the Montgomery. It is in a great location, with lots of things to see. We stuck with the Bourbon trail this time, but next time we would like to explore some of the historical aspects of the area. The breakfast at the BnB was amazing! The service was outstanding. We had an amazing weekend. The room was gorgeous (we had the French)! I only had a few complaints, and trust me, they were minor! One of the jets in the jacuzzi didn't work, and the double headed shower was not big enough for two people. These were no big deal at all! Some of the perks: you can sit in the jacuzzi and turn the tv so you can enjoy a nice movie in the tub with wine and/or bourbon. The king size bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. There is a huge closet with the ironing board and iron. The private entrance was nice, we had our own porch and could feel the seclusion we were looking for! The staff is soooo helpful and gave us directions and ideas of places to eat/drink/enjoy! Thank you so much to the Montgomery for a fantastic weekend!

Pam & her husband were delightful. The Inn is surrounded by wineries and bourbon distilleries. It's very centrally located. The food was great, we had dinner in addition to the breakfast, delicious!!!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and definitely enjoyed it. The only major flaw with this inn is the location--you have to drive to do almost anything as the town is very small and has very few places to eat. Breakfast at the inn was one of the best I've had at a B&B--hearty but not just full of sugar and fat like many. You can have dinner there as well, which is convenient given how quiet the town is, but the food was not especially exciting at our dinner. One of the best parts: a jacuzzi in every room! Definitely recommend.

Stayed here 2 nights and toured Bourbon distilleries and Rebecca Ruth Candy. Excellent location and wonderful atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was all very friendly and willing to help. Bourbon tours were very nice, though Lexington seemed a little sleepy in it's offerings. I'm sure during the horse racing season though (we went at the start of fall/winter), there are plenty of nearby options for entertainment.

The B&B was very nice and worth the visit. I would recommend this place to any visitors and the owners were very responsive to all needs and requests. The area is beautiful and the accomodations met the expectations and made the visit very special.

My first time at this Bed and breakfast and I would definitely return again soon. We stayed in the French and there was such detail to all the furniture and amenities that we both commented about it. It is clear that the innkeeper takes great pride in her home/business. Everything we needed was provided with a smile, iced tea at all hours of the day and night, seconds at breakfast and scrumptious treats. Pam even made a special breakfast for 2 couples with no notice. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. It is an amazing value for this area.

My wife and I were looking for a quick get-away and found 1911 Montgomery Inn. The room had a jetted hot tub for relaxing and the room, though not large, was comfortable. Original wood floors were throughout the house and gave it character. The breakfast and other amenities available were great. It's one of the best values in a B & B you'll find anywhere.

We really appreciated the ability to book a single night get away. Everything was done well.

We really enjoyed our first stay at the Montgomery Inn BnB. The one place that I could see some improvement is with the beds. Very squeaky and I expected a better quality bed for the price we paid.

This inn is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable, large, clean and charmingly decorated. The dinner was sumptuous and plentiful and the gourmet breakfast was a fantastic and delicious surprise. Pam and her staff were very friendly and took care of our every need. Can't wait to return.

Very nice, clean and the food was good. Could use new TVs. Stayed in the Tarra, I would suggest removing the bed out of the first room and adding a hidabed couch. We would for sure go back. Great place to stay for the Bourbon Trail.

The house was quaint. It was old but very updated so you would not necessarily realize it was built in 1911. Unfortunately one of the updates is a green plumbing system. In order to have hot water for your shower- you must run the tub faucet full bore until steaming. The water from the faucet is dangerously hot at that point and the tub fills a bit with this dangerously hot water so you can't really run the bath water on hot full bore and have to mix some cool water in there - it's quite a regulatory art - because that determines how hot ur shower water will be and you ate suppose TP turn the shower on immediately after turning the faucet off so I found myself doing a little dance and a lot of knob adjusting just to shower- in short it was miserable. I would have taken a jacuzzi bath instead because there is a lovely jacuzzi tub but the jets had a layer of reddish gundge on the lips. At first I thought it was just a hard water stain till my travel companion pointed out that the region is famous for it's softwater used to make the bourbon so I touched the orange area and discovered it was slimy gunge. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV was tiny, the individual furnace in our room worked well, Pam the innkeeper was kind, our first breakfast was a bit odd but the 2nd was quite good.

We had a small groupnof couples for a 2 night 3 day stay. The owners are wonderful people, breakfast was awesome. If you plan ahead, the owners will make dinner for you and it was very good! An additional bonus was the Catholic church was within walking distance! Will definitely return.

We have stayed at The Montgomery Inn on multiple occasons over the years that Pam Matthews O'Malley has owned the property. On each occasion, we feel a sense of contentment and comfort that translates into that perfect vocalization: "Ahhhh". Pam and her staff are skilled in their abilities to anticipate needs and meet them in an unobtrusive, unflappable, fashion. The room was very nice. There were a few things I would improve, though. The towels needed to be laundered in a different way as to improve fluffiness and the door lock on my suit needed to be fixed. I also ordered the Baby-moon package which didn't meet my expectations. All in all, my wife and I had a wonderful stay and would return to the inn in the future. Pam the owner was wonderful.

We went for a quick weekend vacation and loved it. The breakfast may have been the best part, however, the service was excellent and the room was incredible. I would easily recommend to anybody.

We recently spent our 13th night at the Montgomery Inn and it only keeps getting better!! We have stayed in 9 of the 10 rooms and thoroughly enjoyed every one. The food was again outstanding !! This is indeed our escape when we feel the world closing in around us. Thank you Pam !!

We had three couples staying at the Inn and all three couples loved it. We loved the front porch!

Pam and her family were great! Not only did they provide delicious rich food, they also provided step by step directions to places (restaurants, bourbon tours, historic places, etc...). The room was comfortable and had great amenities. Service was top notch - very attentive yet not over the top smothering. Cookies in the evening, videos, board games and books to borrow - it was almost like a stay at a friends house, especially at dinner. Excellent home cooked meals. You could truly tell that they wanted you to walk away with a great experience. we'd go back!

This bed and breakfast has set the bar pretty high for me and my lady for any other bnbs we may want to look into in the future. The staff was very nice and could not have been more helpful for two people that were new to town.

We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast but, had always wanted to. It did not disappoint. The family and staff was warm and welcoming. The area was wonderful with lots to do. Or the inn was very relaxing We hope to return again next year.

We arrived in town about mid-day and stopped at the B&B to pick up brochures and see if they had any recommendations for the area. We let owner know that we were not there to check in just get above mentioned info. Apparently she was NOT happy to see us at that time and was extremely rude. Room had a terrible odor when we did ck in. They sprayed a room deod and it helped but odor was back in the morning when we returned from breakfast. We will return to area-it was deliteful but will find a different place to stay!

First-we hate that you had a bad experience-we spend our lives trying to provide a great stay for each and every guest. I do apologize. The thing about being an innkeeper is that you and your family are on display 24/7. There is never an excuse for rudeness. That being said, as a small Inn we have just 4 hours to accomplish monumental feats of cleaning and repairing the whole Inn, shopping for the next wave of guests, handling staff and any personal life issues we made need to tend to. I do remember that day and you caught me in the midst of many things that weren't going smoothly-my apologies. That is why we have a check in time- so that we can regroup and be prepared for you to get a good experience. You are correct--we never were able to find the cause of tht very odd odor, we cleaned every speck of that room twice, but think something was under the house and yet it was gone the next day. One for the Unsolved Mysteries I guess. Usually we roll with the folks coming and going very well, you however got a double whammy and that is most regretable. So from the bottom of our hearts and they are huge--we apologize and wish you a better stay next time.

My husband and I came down for a weekend of relaxation. We got exactly that! The family was unbelievably nice. The home was beautiful, well kept, very clean. Our meals were always fantastic. Our room was amazing, and the bathroom well there are no words for that bathroom. We can't wait to go back again!
