Stayed here for a weekend bourbon tour trip. Excellent breakfast and very nice staff. My husband and I really enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend.

We enjoyed our stay here, our first time on the Bourbon Trail. Family run B and B, very good food, friendly atmosphere.

We used a living social promotion for our stay and the inn extended the validity without any problem. The food was excellent, dont expect to be on a diet!!! We highly recommend Melissa Cottage for dinner!!! The chicken pot pie and meat loaf were delicious!!! And th peanutbutter pie...to die for. The inn was comfortabe and inviting!!!! We will come back in the spring to enjoy the horse farms!!!

The owners weren't there the weekend we were, but their son and daughter made sure we felt at home! Food was very good, bed was very comfortable, and the whole staff made us feel welcome. There were plenty of DVDs to take to your room and snacks to enjoy while you watched your movie. I would definately go back to this B&B!!

We had a wonderful trip to the Montgomery Inn. Pam was out of town but her son did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and giving us information about the Inn and the surrounding area. Breakfast both mornings was very good and the dinner was also well done. I would definitely go back!

I treated my sister for her birthday to a stay at Montgomery B & B and it certainly was a treat. It was like being at home. Welcoming, inviting, warm and friendly. We can't wait to go back!!

We had a wonderful weekend in Bourbon Country at the Montgomery Inn. The food was great and the service was better. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We went with two other couples and had a ton of fun.

We had a wonderful time hiding away from the hustle and bustle on the night before Christmas Eve. Both my wife and I agreed that the night spent at the 1911 Montgomery Inn was the best night of our vacation. Pam and family were awesome and we feel like it was a home away from home.

Our stay at Montgomery Inn was outstanding. The family there made us feel as though we were part of their family. The food was excellent and equal to any expensive restaurant. I would recommend anyone to stay there, you will not regret it. Good value! Will most likely go back!

This place was GREAT! We had so much fun here. It's a nice quiet location. Not a ton of things to do in the immediate area, but plenty for the 2 days/nights that we stayed. Pam is just outstanding. She's very friendly and down to Earth. She was always engaged in conversation with guests. You can tell that she truly enjoys what she does. The food was delicious. The coffee was delicious. The chocolate covered strawberries were delicious. It's just the perfect place to unwind. We can't wait to go back!

My girlfriend and I stayed there December 9th and 10th 2011 . We both thought it was a wonderful and rememberable experience. Pam Mattews was a delight and made us feel comfortable and at home. My husband and I just enjoyed a weekend stay at the Montgomery Inn BnB. We had a coupon from Living Social for a 2 night stay with two Boubon distillery tours, a discount on dinner at the Bnb and a half dozen chocolate strawberries on arrival.. We booked early and were able to reserve the French Room. Excellent room with heart shaped jacuzzi and separate entrance with a lovely porch. The decor was perfect and the room very generously sized. Bed was comfortable and though we were the far from the main house we had no trouble with the Wifi. Breakfast were great in taste an very creative. Our dinner was enjoyable and very generous in portions. Should we decide to visit this area again I would definitely book a room here. Thanks Pam and staff for the wonderful weekend stay! My husband and I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and the B and B owners clearly work very hard at making visits a pleasurable experience. We would happily return.

The rooms were just amazing with each one just as gorgeous as the next. I thought the dinner was good food but over priced, I would not select dinner there next time. The room cost was very fair. My fiancee and I spent two nights at the Montgomery. It is in a great location, with lots of things to see. We stuck with the Bourbon trail this time, but next time we would like to explore some of the historical aspects of the area. The breakfast at the BnB was amazing! The service was outstanding. We had an amazing weekend. The room was gorgeous (we had the French)! I only had a few complaints, and trust me, they were minor! One of the jets in the jacuzzi didn't work, and the double headed shower was not big enough for two people. These were no big deal at all! Some of the perks: you can sit in the jacuzzi and turn the tv so you can enjoy a nice movie in the tub with wine and/or bourbon. The king size bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. There is a huge closet with the ironing board and iron. The private entrance was nice, we had our own porch and could feel the seclusion we were looking for! The staff is soooo helpful and gave us directions and ideas of places to eat/drink/enjoy! Thank you so much to the Montgomery for a fantastic weekend!

Pam & her husband were delightful. The Inn is surrounded by wineries and bourbon distilleries. It's very centrally located. The food was great, we had dinner in addition to the breakfast, delicious!!!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and definitely enjoyed it. The only major flaw with this inn is the location--you have to drive to do almost anything as the town is very small and has very few places to eat. Breakfast at the inn was one of the best I've had at a B&B--hearty but not just full of sugar and fat like many. You can have dinner there as well, which is convenient given how quiet the town is, but the food was not especially exciting at our dinner. One of the best parts: a jacuzzi in every room! Definitely recommend.

Stayed here 2 nights and toured Bourbon distilleries and Rebecca Ruth Candy. Excellent location and wonderful atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was all very friendly and willing to help. Bourbon tours were very nice, though Lexington seemed a little sleepy in it's offerings. I'm sure during the horse racing season though (we went at the start of fall/winter), there are plenty of nearby options for entertainment.

The B&B was very nice and worth the visit. I would recommend this place to any visitors and the owners were very responsive to all needs and requests. The area is beautiful and the accomodations met the expectations and made the visit very special.

My first time at this Bed and breakfast and I would definitely return again soon. We stayed in the French and there was such detail to all the furniture and amenities that we both commented about it. It is clear that the innkeeper takes great pride in her home/business. Everything we needed was provided with a smile, iced tea at all hours of the day and night, seconds at breakfast and scrumptious treats. Pam even made a special breakfast for 2 couples with no notice. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. It is an amazing value for this area.

This B&B is a very relaxing place to stay and enjoy the beautful hills of Kentucky. The family that runs it is very hospitable and very friendly. I very much enjoyed my stay at the Montgomery Inn.

My wife and I were looking for a quick get-away and found 1911 Montgomery Inn. The room had a jetted hot tub for relaxing and the room, though not large, was comfortable. Original wood floors were throughout the house and gave it character. The breakfast and other amenities available were great. It's one of the best values in a B & B you'll find anywhere.

We really appreciated the ability to book a single night get away. Everything was done well.

We really enjoyed our first stay at the Montgomery Inn BnB. The one place that I could see some improvement is with the beds. Very squeaky and I expected a better quality bed for the price we paid.

This inn is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable, large, clean and charmingly decorated. The dinner was sumptuous and plentiful and the gourmet breakfast was a fantastic and delicious surprise. Pam and her staff were very friendly and took care of our every need. Can't wait to return.

Very nice, clean and the food was good. Could use new TVs. Stayed in the Tarra, I would suggest removing the bed out of the first room and adding a hidabed couch. We would for sure go back. Great place to stay for the Bourbon Trail.

The house was quaint. It was old but very updated so you would not necessarily realize it was built in 1911. Unfortunately one of the updates is a green plumbing system. In order to have hot water for your shower- you must run the tub faucet full bore until steaming. The water from the faucet is dangerously hot at that point and the tub fills a bit with this dangerously hot water so you can't really run the bath water on hot full bore and have to mix some cool water in there - it's quite a regulatory art - because that determines how hot ur shower water will be and you ate suppose TP turn the shower on immediately after turning the faucet off so I found myself doing a little dance and a lot of knob adjusting just to shower- in short it was miserable. I would have taken a jacuzzi bath instead because there is a lovely jacuzzi tub but the jets had a layer of reddish gundge on the lips. At first I thought it was just a hard water stain till my travel companion pointed out that the region is famous for it's softwater used to make the bourbon so I touched the orange area and discovered it was slimy gunge. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV was tiny, the individual furnace in our room worked well, Pam the innkeeper was kind, our first breakfast was a bit odd but the 2nd was quite good.

We had a small groupnof couples for a 2 night 3 day stay. The owners are wonderful people, breakfast was awesome. If you plan ahead, the owners will make dinner for you and it was very good! An additional bonus was the Catholic church was within walking distance! Will definitely return.

We have stayed at The Montgomery Inn on multiple occasons over the years that Pam Matthews O'Malley has owned the property. On each occasion, we feel a sense of contentment and comfort that translates into that perfect vocalization: "Ahhhh". Pam and her staff are skilled in their abilities to anticipate needs and meet them in an unobtrusive, unflappable, fashion. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed having a refridgerator/microwave in my room. Bathroom very spacious. Excellent coffee!

The room was very nice. There were a few things I would improve, though. The towels needed to be laundered in a different way as to improve fluffiness and the door lock on my suit needed to be fixed. I also ordered the Baby-moon package which didn't meet my expectations. All in all, my wife and I had a wonderful stay and would return to the inn in the future. Pam the owner was wonderful.

This was the icing on the cake to an already wonderful 3 day weekend experience. Pam and her family are wonderful and they do everything they can to make you feel welcomed. Our room and the bathroom were spaceous (the English room). The food was wonderful. I would recommend the dinner option to everyone. If you are headed down that way, Just Book It!

We went for a quick weekend vacation and loved it. The breakfast may have been the best part, however, the service was excellent and the room was incredible. I would easily recommend to anybody.

We recently spent our 13th night at the Montgomery Inn and it only keeps getting better!! We have stayed in 9 of the 10 rooms and thoroughly enjoyed every one. The food was again outstanding !! This is indeed our escape when we feel the world closing in around us. Thank you Pam !!

We had three couples staying at the Inn and all three couples loved it. We loved the front porch!

Pam and her family were great! Not only did they provide delicious rich food, they also provided step by step directions to places (restaurants, bourbon tours, historic places, etc...). The room was comfortable and had great amenities. Service was top notch - very attentive yet not over the top smothering. Cookies in the evening, videos, board games and books to borrow - it was almost like a stay at a friends house, especially at dinner. Excellent home cooked meals. You could truly tell that they wanted you to walk away with a great experience. we'd go back!

This bed and breakfast has set the bar pretty high for me and my lady for any other bnbs we may want to look into in the future. The staff was very nice and could not have been more helpful for two people that were new to town.

We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast but, had always wanted to. It did not disappoint. The family and staff was warm and welcoming. The area was wonderful with lots to do. Or the inn was very relaxing We hope to return again next year.

We arrived in town about mid-day and stopped at the B&B to pick up brochures and see if they had any recommendations for the area. We let owner know that we were not there to check in just get above mentioned info. Apparently she was NOT happy to see us at that time and was extremely rude. Room had a terrible odor when we did ck in. They sprayed a room deod and it helped but odor was back in the morning when we returned from breakfast. We will return to area-it was deliteful but will find a different place to stay!

First-we hate that you had a bad experience-we spend our lives trying to provide a great stay for each and every guest. I do apologize. The thing about being an innkeeper is that you and your family are on display 24/7. There is never an excuse for rudeness. That being said, as a small Inn we have just 4 hours to accomplish monumental feats of cleaning and repairing the whole Inn, shopping for the next wave of guests, handling staff and any personal life issues we made need to tend to. I do remember that day and you caught me in the midst of many things that weren't going smoothly-my apologies. That is why we have a check in time- so that we can regroup and be prepared for you to get a good experience. You are correct--we never were able to find the cause of tht very odd odor, we cleaned every speck of that room twice, but think something was under the house and yet it was gone the next day. One for the Unsolved Mysteries I guess. Usually we roll with the folks coming and going very well, you however got a double whammy and that is most regretable. So from the bottom of our hearts and they are huge--we apologize and wish you a better stay next time.

My husband and I came down for a weekend of relaxation. We got exactly that! The family was unbelievably nice. The home was beautiful, well kept, very clean. Our meals were always fantastic. Our room was amazing, and the bathroom well there are no words for that bathroom. We can't wait to go back again!

The Montgomery Inn in Versailles, KY was in every way, outstanding. We are already planning another trip in the Spring. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was excellent. I highly recommended the Montgomery Inn to my family and friends.

Pam and her family and staff were great hosts. It was a great place to stay--central to the eastern part of the Bourbon Trail & near Lexington horse country. Plenty to do during the day, then a great place to come back, relax and sit on the porch and talk to our fellow travelers.

When I arrived, I was greeted by a nice young man who gave me a tour of the facility and took me to my room and explained everything about the room and inn. It was very clean and comfortable. The food was awesome. The cook is awesome. Everyone was very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. I highly recommend to everyone and will return.

Our stay was plesant and the staff was great. The Dinner was wonderful!!! The reason I rated it lower was because of breakfast. It is a bed and breakfast, and breakfast is only served during one hour and it is pretty early. It would be nice if they would extend there hours or have other breakfast foods available to those who enjoy sleeping in on their vacations. There was cereal but no milk was available.

I am so glad you had a good time. Just to clarify for future guests: coffee is on at 7am, Breakfast is served 8:30-9:30 which means a 9:30 seating would eat until they were satisfied, and we do our best to accomodate necessary early breakfasts for people with appointments. We have to clean up breakfast so we can start on the rooms by 11 to get ready for the new check-ins. The milk is in the big refrigerator right next to the cereal bar in the dining room along with the juice--the cereal bar is for people who don't make it to breakfast or want a late night snack, etc. Most Inns don't provide this btw but we think it is a nice touch. My husband and I stayed here after seeing a promotion on Living Social. This place was great! I don't think we've ever had a cleaner room. The breakfast was amazing and the "midnight snacks" were wonderful. Pam and her husband were very gracious and accommodating. We have already been telling all our friends they have to try this place!

This was my first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast, and Montgomery Inn did not disappoint. The rooms were very nice and clean, the food was great, and everyone was really friendly. I will definitely go back!

The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was outstanding! Dinner was excellent and well worth the $25 reservation. It was great not having to get out and find a restaurant after a long travel day. I don't think we could have found a better chef anyway. Pam is great in the kitchen. She suggested that we go to Keenland Race track before sunrise to catch the view. We did and what a treat! I was sale week and , unlike other tracks, you could get up close and personal with the animals and trainers. It was worth the trip just for this experience. A good, clean, comfortable and well located place to stay!

We stayed at the 1911 Montgomery Inn BnB for our honeymoon, and the Tuscan room was just adorable! The jacuzzi was incredibly nice to have in-room, and I just can't stress enough how nice the owner and her family are. The area itself is nice because you can do bourbon or winery tours. It's a lovely place, and we're definitely planning on returning!

What a great time. My best friend and I do the Bourbon Trail every year, and this was the second time we stayed at Montgomery Inn B&B - and I will tell everyone I know that it's a great place, and great value. Pam and her team are great. We had the Tara room again - nice two large beds, two rooms, gives us individual privacy and yet we have our own suite for talking. BT2 is behind us, and we'll be back next year to Montgomery Inn for BT3. Great place to stay....

We purchased this visit at the 1911 Montgomery Inn in Versailles, KY through LivingSocial. We had a great visit and toured many of the KY Bourbon Trail Distilleries as well as the cooperage and a candy factory. The Inn was very nice. We stayed in the Foxhunt room. Pam, the owner, helped us remedy our lack of hot water after the first night. The breakfasts for the two mornings we stayed at the Inn were delicious! The only negative we had was the mattress in the Foxhunt room was terrible and needs replacing.

We are glad you had a great trip! Our new hot water system is tankless and heats on demand so it is necessary to run out the cold in the line prior to jumping in, we now have an instructional sign in the affected rooms--one of our many attempts to "go green" with a bit of a learning curve in the process. The King size bed in the Foxhunt is a regular style firm mattress and we have enjoyed comments like "I haven't slept that well in years" coming from that suite, so I am checking it out, of course, but I fear that may be a personal comfort issue. We appreciate your comments and encourage guests to approach us while they are here so that if possible, we can make their stay better immediately. After all, a hot bath/shower and a comfy bed are the mainstays of our business. Thanks and come back soon!

We'll definitely be back to Montgomery Inn the next time we visit near Lexington. B&B's are quirky by nature, but we liked all the "quirks" at Montgomery Inn! We stayed in the French Room, and the only drawback was that we were too far to pick up on the wireless Internet. Oh well, we didn't book a B&B because we wanted to play on our computers anyway! The breakfasts at the Inn were excellent both mornings, and the dining room is as lovely as the rooms. There was a great little restaurant just about a mile away called Melissa's Cottage Cafe. They serve Southern comfort food in large quantities at modest prices. If you enjoy quality dry to semi-dry wines, be sure to visit Equus Run Winery in nearby Midway, about 7 miles away.

My husband and I stayed at Montomery Inn Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights and it was deelightful! Our room was huge, had 2 fireplaces and a jacuzzi tub. Peaceful location, yet so close to many things to explore. If you enjoy wineries, parks, quaint little towns, and good food, than I highly suggest you give this place a try!

This Inn offers a historic stay with beautiful fixturing and the luxury of your own beautiful bathroom. The food was incredible....both breakfast and dinner in the dining car. We met several really nice couples and really enjoyed our stay. This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience.

Had the best time. Some of the greatest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. They were willing to go above and beyond the norm if you needed anything special. I loved it and can hardly wait to make a return visit. We wanted to watch the PBR and couldn't get it in our room so they found the channel on the big TV in the family room and we got to enjoy the PBR and other guest.

The location was perfect for seeing the wineries and distilleries in the area. Not a huge night scene unless you go into Lexington but you'll have plenty to do during the day. The staff was very helpful with whatever we needed.

This was our first time stay in a b & b. It was a great time for my wife and I. We would definitely stay here again.

Location is great for distillery tours and Horse Park visit. Pam and her staff were very pleasant and very interested in making us feel at home and meeting any and every need. Large library of DVDs to watch in your room, which we enjoyed. Room T.V. too small, though, and needs to be updated to larger flat screen. Food was great, and eating area was spacious and well-maintained. Looking forward to coming back again!

Thanks for another great review and you are so right! We have actually changed out the TVs in 6 of our 10 suites so far, hoping to get the remaining ones updated early in 2012. My wife and I spent two nights at 1911 Montgomery Inn in late summer, and had a very pleasant time. Pam and her family did a real nice job of making things cozy and comfortable. Ross did a great job of providing a very nicely prepared dinner, and we were even able to bring our own wine to pare with. Pam had some great contacs with local tours off the beaten path along with two yummy breakfast to start our days with. Definitely plan on doing some of the Bourbon tours, especially Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve.

Breakfast and dinner were so good! Pam was an amazing chef! The selection of movies was awesome too! I loved the huge jacuzzi tub too. Perfect for a quick get-a-way!

Classic bed and breakfast in a quiet Kentucky suburb. My wife and I had a great time, I would like to go back some day.

My boyfriend and I were directed to Montgomery Inn BnB through the Living Social deal that was up, and it was the perfect choice! Pam and her family are really nice and quite accommodating and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They maintain a casual, yet classy atmosphere that allows guests feel right at home, while still enjoying a lovely vacation atmosphere. The room was absolutely adorable and well-kept. We stayed in the Oriental room - the furnishings were lovely, the room was spacious, and we had our own private porch with furniture that looked out over a field. The sheets and towels were also very high quality. And the food was great! I'm always a little nervous about chef's choice meals, but everything that was served was delicious. We really liked that the dining was BYOB - we saved some money on wine and beer by bringing our own. Thanks to the Living Social deal, the price was dirt cheap and we got way more than we had paid for. Their normal prices are completely reasonable for what you get, though! The pictures on the website do not do this place justice - we were very pleased when we arrived and saw everything! They also have a good selection of movies and board games. They might not have your favorite, but they have such a wide variety that you'll definitely find something you like, and even a few things you may not have seen! Oh, and Pam's baking is FANTASTIC. We ate way too many brownies! We would definitely go back if given the opportunity!

We had a great time! Hope to be able to visit again. We just wanted a weekend away! Very quiet and relaxing.

Suggestions for improvement: Have a choice of bed types & not limit to only a standard double size; breakfast (served 8:30 - 9:30) was, apparently, prepared for all guests at one time and warmed as guests arrived - could have been better.

The Living Social was a special internet deal where guests purchased one night and recieved a second one free with complimentary bourbon Distillery Tours and Chocolate covered Strawberries. I just wanted to note that our only Bed selections are King or Queen with the exception of an additional twin added to select suites when needed, another guest thought we had "foam" pillows, not the case either, and there are additional pillows in the closets to shoose from. Quiche, Strata and Fritata requires an hour to bake so it is always prepared ahead, our waffles and other dishes however are prepared on the spot. We are so glad you got to enjoy our Inn!

The rooms and service were excellent. The dinner in the club was also wonderful, but I would have liked more variety/choices at breakfast.

We needed a few more days,so we could see more of the beautiful country. They did whatever you asked of them. They were all very friendly.

Our first experience with a B&B was not good, as the owner was rude, and everything promised was not delivered. My significant other was apprehensive about trying another one, but agreed to go. The owners at the Montgomery Inn were so nice, and so pleasant, that we both have decided we will go back. The bourbon trail is right there, along with some wineries. We only made it to 3 of them, so want to go back for the rest, and will stay again at the Montgomery Inn. There are also bicycle and running/walking trails closeby.

My Ng and I had the opportunity to stay in the Victorian suite and it was absolutely beautiful! It was clean and very spacious. I loved it! The inn keeper and her son and daughter were very polite and helpful, as well. I'm really glad we found this deal on livingsocial and was able to stay at this inn. Our only concern was the breakfast...we expected a little more from it. Perhaps meat and some eggs to go along with our meal, would have been nice. Overall, wonderful rooms and great hospitality. If this deal change around again, I would take it.

The room and accomodations were excellent. Private entrance provided privacy and a quite atmosphere. Value compares favorably with any upscale hotel.

Very nice time on a three day getaway with my wife. Service was top notch. Family owned and it shows. Breakfast was great and very creative. Dinner was delicious. Staff always asked if we needed anything without being intrusive. Room was very clean and well taken care of. We had a great stay.

When you walk through the door you find yourself in another place and time. The furnishing and decor were tastefully done with just enough of the Victorian era flavor without being overdone. The owners were wonderful and very accomodating. You must have dinner prepared for you at least one night of your stay. It was fabulous!

I stayed here for 2 nights while doing the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The lodging was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The best, however, was the service and food. The owner went out of her way to accommodate guests requests and the breakfasts were outstanding! I highly recommend this bed & breakfast and will definitely stay again when I return to the area.

We stayed there Memorial Day weekend and it was very nice, like staying with family. Everything was clean and Pam and her family are very friendly. They provide great service! We did not eat dinner there but breakfast was delicious. Next time we will probably eat dinner there as well. Thank-you!

Our room was nicely furnished and the bathroom was wonderful, very large. However, although the Inn was only half full with guests it was difficult to find any private space as the family members were in the public areas both inside and out throughout our stay so we felt somewhat confined to our guest room. Although the family members were very polite, we just wanted to be able to sit somewhere besides our room and be alone, that was not possible. The breakfast was dissapointingly simple but we did have enough to eat.

The dinner (optional) was wonderful: ample, delicious, and served with warmth and attentiveness. The innkeeper responded quickly and ably to a temporary glitch in the air conditioning, and had the system up and running properly again in only a short time. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable, and the service warm and friendly. It was a very good bargain for a comfortable rest.

First time ever in a B & B. Excellent suite, great breakfasts, friendly and informed staff. Enjoyed the historical aspects of the inn very much. Hope to return.

I had a wonderful time at the Inn, the innkeepers were woderful and so pleasant to be around. i told all of my family about it, and my sister and her boyfriend stayed with a wonderful experiance.

Room was nice. Neighbors were a little noisy, kind of thin walls. Breakfast was very good. The yogurt was delicious. The bed was comfy and the double shower was very relaxing.

Delicious breakfasts and a friendly host. Wouldn't recommend the Maple room, though nice. Too chilly - right by the air handler unit. A perfect spot to stay while visiting the Bluegrass Country of Kentucky.

Do take Pam's offer when booking to enjoy a dinner at the BnB. It is worth it especially if you have driven all day to get to the BnB. She served a delicious meal in the comfort of the inn. We did not have to travel to find dinner after a day of driving. It was an enjoyable and relaxing experience.

The staff, accomodations, meals and ambience were superb. Our first time in a B&B and we loved it. We'll be back...and soon!

My husband and I spent a truly lovely weekend at Montgomery Inn Bed and Breakfast celebrating our anniversary. Pam and her staff were very attentive to our needs. We stayed in the French Suite, which was even more beautiful than the website photos. Everything was top-notch and elegant... terrific antique furnishings, great hot tub for two, and chocolate-covered strawberries (some were wearing tuxedos!). Area attractions kept us busy at all times... bourbon trail, wineries, and Keeneland Race Track all nearby. We've already discussed a return visit and are suggesting this super enjoyable accommodation to all our friends!!!

Pam and her staff were so easygoing and fun! The rooms were clean and the breakfast was fabulous! We had terrible weather during our visit and spent our "gathering time" before dinner hunkered down in her basement, waiting for the all clear on tornados passing in the area. The staff and Pam took it all in stride! The front porch is lovely to sit and relax with a good cup of coffee. It is in the perfect location for a quick walk to some great shops and local eateries! We will stay here again!

From the minute you walk into the Montgomery Inn, you feel enveloped by coziness and class. Rich wood floors, beautiful antiques and rich rugs combine with all the best in modern luxuries. I mean, really--Jacuzzi tubs and Turkish cotton bath robes--what else do we need to say?!!? The breakfast is yummy enough that I woke up this morning and considered driving the 250 miles back there just to have innkeeper Pam's delicious cooking. This family allows you to either join them in evening conversation or sneak away by yourself with a glass of wine. They have movies, books, and magazine to fulfill just about anyone's relaxation needs, but the best thing of all has to be curling up in your room, breathing in the yummy, fresh-smelling linens, and saying "Ahhhhh...this is great!" If you have no reason to go to Versailles, Kentucky, now you have a reason. I went there first because my company booked a room at the Montgomery for me during a business trip. Now, it is my place of choice when in the Lexington area. Don't ask yourself anymore questions...just book a room with Pam and her family at the Montgomery Inn!

We were happy to find a BnB in the Versailles area during one of the busiest seasons for horse racing at Keeneland. The house is beautifully decorated, and we found our room to be very comfortable and nicely furnished with everything we might need. The breakfasts were creative and delicious. The BnB is run by the owner with her children--all very friendly and helpful. We'd love to return for another stay sometime soon!

This was the perfect location and perfect inn to sandwich our Bourbon Trail tour around. Couldn't ask for nicer innkeepers or nicer accomodations.

Stayed in the English room and it was great as far as the room was concerned. TV could have been a lot better (small). The service was good and the breakfast was fine. A bit on the pricey side, though.

This was our second stay with Pam and her lovely family. My husband and I stayed three nights and enjoyed three delicious breakfasts. We feel so at home at The Montgomery Inn and are planning a third visit in October for the races. We can't say enough nice things about Montgomery Inn and of course, Pam.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Montgomery Inn B & B. The staff is courteous and considerate, and the owner takes a great deal of care of her facility and her guests. The Inn has something of a delightfully eclectic decor, with each room offering a different look and feel (we had occasion to walk through all the rooms as we arrived a bit early). We stayed in the Admiral Room and the attention to detail showed. The hot breakfast is well thought out and varied, served along side a great selection of tea and coffee. We lost at the race track, but had a very comfortable visit at the Montgomery...it will be our first call for our next visit to Keeneland.

We stayed with at the Montgomery Inn and loved it!! There was 4 of us - 2 rooms. Both rooms were amazing and the food was incredible! We haved added this to our "must return" list. My husband said not to write a review too good because the cost would go up but can't help it. It was an amazing INN!!

Overall experience was good. Parking area and side area of inn was not impressive, and seemed a bit unkempt. Exterior of rooms with private entrances was not very attractive vinyl siding, and looked a bit too much like the exterior of a motel. Loved the common areas and the refreshment assortments available. Room was clean and tastefully enough decorated, but very small. Breakfast was lovely. Price was too high for the room and atmosphere. I have stayed at B&B's in nearby areas for about 65% of the price of our room.

Our meals were delicious. We were able to take a walk on the street safely. Pam adapted to our different needs since I was pregnant during my stay.

this was our first time to stay in a bed and breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived late and still there was food and wine set out for us to enjoy. We stayed in the Tara rooms. Not the best arrangement for two couples as there is only one bathroom. However, would be great if taking children. The rooms are large and there are plenty of towels, lotions, etc. The bathrooms have been updated nicely. The only drawback was the TV is very small. but we didn't go to watch TV. The front porch was very nice for sitting on. We took wine and cheese and sat on the front porch swing and chatted with each other. There were four of us that stayed here. All in all , I would definitely go again. Breakfast was great. The owner is an awesome cook and does a great job of offering variety. You definitely feel catered to. What you get for the dollar is amazing. Another great thing is that you are only about 10 minutes to the front gates of Keeneland. This place makes a great place to stay for a Keeneland trip.

So glad you had a good time! Yes--the two bedroom suites weren't really intended for two couples--probably better to get your own rooms next time. But they are great when traveling with a friend or family member and needing a separate bed in the same suite. The wine & cheese and soup & salad suppers were a special package for the World Equestrian Games, but they proved very popular so we may continue them into the horse racing season. Pam is a wonderful hostess--very gracious and helpful. She and her family live on premises and she is happy to share her knowledge of the area with her guests. Her breakfasts are outstanding! I'm diabetic and she made sure I had plenty of tasty low sugar, low carb choices. We would definitely stay there again!

We stayed in the Tara suite this time and enjoyed it immensely. We had our children join us this time at the Inn and this suite was perfect. On Sunday, we enjoyed the roasted red pepper and cheese omelettes and they were AWESOME! The food was wonderful and the hospitality was as always, amazing! We will plan to come again in the future. Pam and Ross do a very nice job.

We just returned from our 11th stay at Mongomery Inn. We have stayed in all the suites except the English and Oriental and find all to be far above what one would expect. The attention paid to details, the food, and Yes, above all else the innkeeper, Pam and her family are outstanding !! We cant wait to stay in those last two suites and start all over again. We love you all, Pam !!!

Have stayed in B&Bs from coast to coast. The Montgomery Inn is simply the best. It's the deep sigh of contentment at the end of a perfect day.

My husband and I spent the night for his birthday and our annual October trip to Keeneland. The room was fantastic! Breakfast was wonderful! The only rather strange thing to me was that I never met the adult innkeeper. I have stayed at many B&B's and I was disapointed in the fact that the innkeeper's teenage children did all of the socializing with the guests. As a matter of fact the only time I even saw their mother was in the kitchen cooking breakfast and she never even introduced herself! The children were wonderful hosts but it just seemed a little odd to me.

I am sorry I didn't get to spend time with you--that is the best part of innkeeping! However, especially during our High season equestrian events, I must at times leave the Inn to purchase supplies, or be tied up in a suite or area making repairs. Innkeeping is a 24/7 job--it is indeed our life. With a house full it may be that we just missed each other--3 floors and the exterior wing--it is easy to do. As a family business we all take care of things and I rarely leave the property except to purchase groceries or to attend church. I am thrilled that you enjoyed your accomodations and look forward to meeting you another time, perhaps when we aren't at capacity so we can chat. As always-thank you for choosing Montgomery Inn!

Returning to my hometown of Versailles is always an experience. This was our 3rd stay at the Montgomery Inn. As expected, it was fabulous. We stayed 2 nights in the Victorian suite and it was spacious enough for the entire family. I must admit, having the kids join us this time at the Inn put a damper on the romance of the suite, but we all had a wonderful time. The jacuzzi was heavenly and the kids had a blast in it, too. Pam, Ross & Mikaela did a wonderful job making us feel welcome and we even invited my parents (locals) to join us for breakfast. Pam's breakfast were divine, and my family was very impressed. The eggs benedict with spinach are totally gourmet. Next time we are going to plan to have dinner at the Inn and try one of Pam's famous salads. We would recommend the Montgomery Inn to everyone.
