Cadiz Street Bed and Breakfast "The Colonel's House" is an 1895 Victorian home which has been completely restored since 2004. From the new hard wood floors to the crown molding at the top of the ten foot walls you will find this is a charming place to stay for just one night or for a much longer period. Both baths feature the original, but restored, claw foot tubs. We are conveniently located just a 5 minute drive from Eddy Grove Vineyard and it's fine wines and wonderful tasting room. You are only a 30 minute drive from Grand Rivers with Patti's 1880 Settlement and resturant along with the entrance to the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Just 40 minutes to the West is Paducah, home to the American Quilters Society Museum, numerous fabric stores and fine dineing. While here at our home, you are just a short walking distance from the beautifully restored downtown area of historic Princeton, with its numerous antique shops, and the store featuring the internationally famous Newsom’s Country Hams. Visit the famous Trail of Tears Park, the Railroad Museum and the historic Adsmore Museum. This is a no smoking bed and breakfast that offers a full breakfast which you may enjoy in our dineing room or have delivered to you in your room when you awake.

We stayed 2 nights recently in this B&B and had an amazing visit. I had heard such excellent reviews of the food and they were very true. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again. We have family there in Princeton and were not strangers to the quaint small town. The inn was quiet, clean and we felt very much at home. The Colonel was such a gracious host. We would recommend highly.
Helen and I wish to thank you for such kind words. We do try our best to treat all of our guest in a way we feel will make them feel most comfortable. And when we have such wonderful guest it 's easy to treat them as family. I would not be in this business if it did not give us such great pleasure being your host during your stay here in Princeton. Thanks again.

The Colonel's House is the most welcoming of Bed and Breakfast's one could ever hope for! From you greeting to the unbelievable aroma of another Colonel, Neusom's, ham and HOME MADE biscuits in the morning, to the fond farewell wave from the charming patio, this is a place that makes you feel right at home from beginning to end. My husband and I can't wait to get back there next year!

For our 10th anniversary my wife Berty and I rented the Cadiz Street B&B. We rented it for a week and were treated to the best lodging experience we’ve had in our travels thus far. We found the accommodations excellent. Colonel Pratt, our host, treated us to the best of fine dining that we’ve ever experienced. We appreciated all of the attention paid to the preparation, delivery and appearance of each irresistible breakfast item. Colonel Pratt was also extremely courteous, humble and attentive to every detail during our stay. He was eager to help us with anything needed. He even went out of his way—above and beyond what was expected—when he drove me to the auto repair shop to pick up my vehicle when I had car trouble. With all of the above in mind I would STRONGLY endorse the Cadiz Street B&B for any traveler’s needs. The value, service and hospitality delivered by Colonel Pratt beats anything even the finest hotels could offer.

I recently stayed at the Colonel's House and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Great service, great accommodations, and the food is phenomenal. I wish we had stayed several days.
Helen and I wish to thank you for the wonderful things you have said about our B & B. I'm sure you know how much I did enjoy having you stay with us on your trip here to Princeton. I can't wait until you return and see the big change to the room where you stayed. I have been wanting to do it for a long time and now it has been done. I sure hope all of our guest will love it also. Again, thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and for the wonderful things you have said about your stay. Charles

Very charming, clean, quiet rooms and you will wake up to an excellent freshly prepared gourmet breakfast. The colonel will make you feel at home. I rate this as one of the better small B & B's to stay at. Excellent for families as the two seperate rooms can be turned into a family suite. It is a short drive to Paducah, Land Between the Lakes and Lake Barkley. We went to the National Quilt Museum in Paducah and had dinner at Patti's 1895 settlement, all within 1/2 hour of Princeton. I would highly recommend to anyone.
The Miss Sula room has a large bay window on the front of the house and two other windows facing south, making it the largest and brightest room in the home. All three of the original windows were recently replaced with new insulated windows making the room more quiet and comfortable. The Miss Sula room has a private bath which is down the hall from the room itself and it has one of the original, but restored, claw foot tubs and heated bath towels. This bed room also has a 32 inch flat screen T.V. which is connected to Dish Network.
Queen bed w/memory foam matress. Private bath w/ heated floor tile (winter only). Private entrance and private screened in porch.
