Driving up to Bluegrass Country Estate is an experience in itself. Coming through the gates with horses in the front pasture, driving up to the front of the estate where there is a 7 foot by 7 foot bronze statue of a Mare and Foal and walking through the front door into a magnificent home with all of the amenities you could imagine.
The Steeplechase Suite at our Louisville, KY area B&B has a sitting room and cable TV along with its own private bathroom with shower and has some interesting characteristics that make the name quite appropriate. This luxury suite is located on the second floor and features a comfy King Size bed, windows overlooking the horse barn and patio/pool area. This is a very comfortable and quiet suite where you can relax and enjoy privacy, making it perfect for your Kentucky honeymoon in the heart of Bluegrass Country.
Whether you’re in the Louisville, KY area to attend a special event, or you are just enjoying a well-deserved Kentucky getaway, you are sure to feel pampered in our Run for the Roses Room. This room is named after the Kentucky Derby known as “Run for the Roses” which is quite appropriate based on the location of our Inn, which is only about 30 minutes from Churchill Downs, and across the road from a Thoroughbred Training Center. This room also has some special touches with artwork from Paul de Longpre, a famous French flower painter and a book on the night table, which gives you a complete history of his life. His famous “Bed of Roses” picture is displayed and if you like flowers, you will love this room.
Enjoy the luxurious surroundings of the Bluegrass Country Estate’s Filly (Philly) Room during your Kentucky horse vacation. We could not resist this play on words in naming this room. Named after the filly with mare bronze statue in front of the estate and the fact that we just moved from Philadelphia, it was a natural. Furnished beautifully, this room has a great view of the front pasture and horse statue. I am sure you will enjoy the art work here as well, along with the comfy king size bed. It shares a bathroom with the Run for the Roses room.
The cozy accommodations in our Ascot Room provide the ideal setting for your Kentucky vacation, romantic weekend getaway or Louisville, KY business trip. This room is named after the Ascot Racecourse located in the village of Ascot, Berkshire used for thoroughbred horse racing. It is closely associated with the British Royal Family and is one of the leading racecourses in the United Kingdom, hosting 9 of the UK’s 31 annual Group 1 races. This room is on the second floor in a wing of its own and has a private bath with a comfy queen size bed and walk-in closet. As expected on this estate, some great art work is displayed in this room.
Planning a Kentucky golf vacation? What accommodations could be more perfect for your weekend golfing getaway than our Turf Room! Turf, of course, could be associated with many things. Specifically for this Inn, we named it in association with Thoroughbred racing and golf since both are main attractions for the area. The Turf Room at Bluegrass Country Estate is on the same floor with our Full Room Theatre and Game Room. It also has its own private patio where you can enjoy a quiet breakfast or read one of the several golf books in your room to prepare for your game! It has a comfy King Size bed with its own private bath and walk-in closet to make you feel at home.

My husband and I booked a room at Bluegrass Country Estate for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, to get away from our temporary one-bedroom apartment. Before arriving, I had a conversation with Cheryl about her recommendation for a restaurant that would be open and take reservations for Christmas Day. She some suggestions and we did have a fabulous meal at Mitchell's Seafood. We stayed in the Turf Room which is in the basement along with the pool table, media room and workout area. Did I mention we were the only people there? So, our room extended to the whole basement, all to ourselves. Breakfasts were wonderful in a bright, cheerful sunroom and Cheryl also provided wine, beer, soft drinks and Christmas cookies in the evenings. The house is totally updated, the fine furniture and rugs make it stately, and Cheryl's horses in the front pasture as you drive in gave us a relaxing feeling. We could not have had a better Christmas in Kentucky than to spend time on a bluegrass horse ranch away from the city lights and sounds!

The inn was imaculately clean and the innkeeper was more than acommadating. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who expects the highest quality in acommadations.
