The fully restored Hulse-Daughters House (1892)
The headboard of the 1860s hand carved bed in the H McCure Hadley room is nine feet high and made of walnut and cherry woods.
One of our favourites: strawberry cream cheese stuffed french toast served on the porch.
Peeking into the Benjamin Curtis Daughters Room from the hall. The bedroom floors are original and show lots of "character."
The turn bell on the enormous front door can be heard throughout the house!
The Carrie Herbert Daughters Room features a full bath/shower and lots of afternoon sunshine.

We completely enjoyed our stay. The home is amazing and has a wonderful history. Our hosts were amazing people. We ate a wonderful breakfast in front of the wood burning fireplace. We drank coffee, juice and water and enjoyed fresh fruit smoothies out of martini glasses, along with pancakes and bacon. Highly recommend!

I surprised my parents with a stay at the Daughters House for their 50th anniversary. They had gotten married while students at K-State. They LOVED staying in such a beautiful home with the most amazing innkeepers. My mom follows a strict gluten-free diet, and they accommodated her with some magnificent pancakes and other goodies! In addition, Jim made the arrangements for my parents to have a nice dinner a few blocks away at della Voce. This is a first-class place!

The owners/operators of the Daughters House Inn are long time residents of Manhattan Kansas. Both historians at Kansas State University, this is their fifth (and LAST!) restoration project in downtown Manhattan. We love our little city, and Jim is a city Commissioner. Ask us about the Little Apple!
