The Levine House is a Victorian mansion built in 1884. It is located at 747 S. National Ave. in Fort Scott, Kansas. Come enjoy our leaded glass windows, hardwoods, and Imported Italian marble. There are 8 unique fireplaces as well.
Enjoy this cozy parlor with marble and solid oak fireplace as well as solid oak ceiling while waiting for friends.
Have a cup of coffee or tea and read a book in the living area. There is also a romantic table for two by the window for a great outside view.
Downstairs, there is a spacious formal dining room which easily accomodates 10 breakfast guests. The ajoining rooms will add seating for up to 35 total guests.
VanFossen Suite. The room is extra spacious. It has a private shower and whirlpool tub and a separate sitting porch. This room is filled with lots of antiques.
The VanFossen room has beautiful victorian decor, kingsize bed, sitting area with table and chairs for office use or dining, vanity table and chair, fireplace and private bath with whirlpool tub and shower.
The Newman room has a large bathroom with whirlpool tub and shower and a two vanity areas as well as this sitting area. There is also a twin bed available.
The Newman room has a queen size bed, a beautiful marble victorian fireplace, table and chairs for office use or dining. Enjoy a private whirlpool tub and shower also.
Matt's Room has a king size bed, beautiful hardwoods, and a huge 5x5 shower for two in a very spacious private bathroom.
The Praeger room has a queen bed, fireplace, table with chairs for office use or dining, a private bar, and a separate bath and shower.

Extended stay welcome. This Victorian Mansion has spacious, newly remodeled bathrooms. Built in 1884, renovated in 2006 you will enjoy new bathrooms with whirlpool tubs, showers for two, lots of leaded glass, hardwoods and 8 unique fireplaces. Leave your bathrobes at home. We provide luxurious robes in your room, waffleweave in the warmer months and terry cloth in the cooler months. In the morning enjoy a delicious and plentiful breakfast. We are in a small town with antique shopping, a great civil war fort, and beautiful parks with rolling hills and lakes. We also have a theater with a variety of performances, a movie theater, an olympic size swimming pool, lots of local sports, a community country club, and a lake for fishing or boating. There is a small airport for private planes. If you play golf, we have you covered. A great place to go back in time to a simpler way of life. Come stay and let us pamper you. See you soon!

Wonderful food! Beautiful room - we stayed in the Newman room, and would love it again. Ambiance gave you that snug, comfortable feeling. I was traveling on business, and as everyone said, Cynthia was amazingly warm and accommodating. She recommended a local restaurant and even called ahead to make sure they would turn on a basketball game I was wanting to watch. The next morning Mike made a wonderful omelet, bacon, biscuits, fruit and a yogurt parfait. As I was the only guest he sat and we talked about the history of the town. The room was wonderful, providing a comfortable experience with accommodations you would find in a hotel like satellite television and high speed Wi-Fi. Cynthia even left me a coupon for a VIP evening so I can bring my wife back sometime. Thanks so much!

One cannot imagine a warmer environment than this gem of a B&B! We found this location when planning a funeral for a family member at the National Cemetery. Cynthia invited the funeral guests to the B&B and treated us all to iced tea, though this was a last-minute decision. The rooms are spacious, clean and welcoming. Cynthia is an amazing and attentive hostess, down to the finest detail. You won't be disappointed in your stay here.

On our arrival my husband & I were warmly welcomed by our hostess who showed us to our room & made us feel very comfortable. The room was clean, comfortable, elegant & relaxing. The private bathroom was large & clean. The whirl pool tub was great, though not as large as I'd hoped it would be (comfortable enough for two people). The large bathrobes provided for our use were greatly appreciated. We loved the little side porch with windows & comfortable seating. We plan on returning at a future date & would definitely recommend the Levine House to others.

Cynthia was great! She made great suggestions of places to shop and eat(even making reservations & sending an appetizer)! Breakfasts were wonderful! Our bed was extremely comfortable and room was well appointed.

It was a nice quaint well kept historical home. It was cozy and the hostess was very friendly, helpful and fun to visit with about the town and house. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope to return someday.
