Escape Bed and Breakfast

I was in Paducah on business and needed to find a place to stay in close proximity to the company I was working for. I found Escape through some web searches and am so glad I stumbled upon it. Robert and Rachelle, the owners, were very friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure everything was satisfactory. The room was clean, roomy, and after working a 16 hour day, it was very nice to be able to soak in my own hot tub. The price is right. The location is basically an older neighborhood, but I didn't once feel at risk. The high speed Internet was fast and reliable as well. I would definitely pick this over a normal chain hotel any time. Thanks! Brad M.

If you love movies and a contemporary style theme this is the place for you. The Jacuzzi was the best one I have ever cuzzi'd in, ha! Perfect for tall people like me -- I'm 5'11". The price is cheap & actually they could charge more. A very nice couple too!

I was very happy to have found these folks, and their B+B! From the booking process to check-in and everything in between I found the place to be just the step above I wanted. As a female traveling solo in town to do an Art Fair safety and night time quiet are important to me. This place had that and more - the movie theme is cute and the television in my room was way bigger than I'm used to. That was fun. I will stay here again for sure! Thanks for creating such a welcoming environment. :)

I arrived at Escape B&B ready to relax. My innkeepers, Robert and Rachelle, are very hospitable and informative. Robert showed me to my room for the weekend - which, by the way is $65 per night! The rooms are two-room suites - one with a comfortable bed, desk, and futon couch; the other with the hot tub. After a wonderful soak in the tub, I relaxed in bed watching movies from the very extensive list. In the common area, I found a dining table and ultra-comfy lounge chairs, sofa, and massage chair!, with a large screen to watch any of the many movies available. Next visit.. I'm bringing my children and grandchildren!

My stay was quite relaxing. I was quite pampered, yet respected. (Better than going home to Mom!)

Upon arrival I was greeted outside by the man who runs the place. He was incredibly friendly and made you feel at home. The whole experience was great! The only thing that was surprising and disappointing was the bed/mattress. It was on the ground and very firm and uncomfortable. I would think a place as nice and great as that would have done better. You need the hot tub after sleeping in it! Otherwise, the hot tub was SUPER. Clean, private, and very very nice. Broad selection of movies and the big screen projector is fantasic! The only other slightly disappointing factor is the owners seem a bit paranoid about you and seem to watch every move you make and are very talkative (but friendly!!). I wanted to say, "It's ok, Breathe easy." As for breakfast..you get cold cereal, or a snack cake. BUT, it's a nice romantic get-a-way and I will be back! I had a nice stay. Especially for the price!!

My fiance and I was looking for a night away from everyday life and kids. We looked everywhere for a hot tub to just pretty much escape the stresses of daily life. We was amazed to find one so cheap and looked amazing online. When we got there Robert met us at the door before we even got out of the car and gave us a tour of the place and even offered to help with the bags. The tour was amazing, it was a very beautiful place. The rooms are nice, they all have a lot of room and the bathroom is very nice, clean, and big as well. The hot tub was my favorite part right in a room off of the bedroom to where it is private and can be easily accessed without running into anyone for complete privacy. He was very helpful in figuring out how the hot tub ran and with any other needs we had. The living room is amazing as well with the big entertainment place they have a 100" screen to watch movies on, Although we didnt watch any movies on it as we enjoyed the hot tub we did see some of a movie on it and it was amazing. It was very quiet, like a home away from home, without the distractions of being at home. Very romantic and will certainly be back again, Rachelle is as sweet as she can be as well, they both make you feel very comfortable. Better than any hotel I have ever stayed at. First bed and breakfast I have stayed at, but I dont think it will get any better than it is there.

This is the perfect place for when you need to get away from it all! What an unexpected surprise - far, far better than any hotel room in town. Very clean, super friendly, and the owner/operators make you feel at home. I LOVE this place! By far the best value and the best B&B in the region.

This was my first experience at a B&B,but, I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised! Paducah is my birth city, and, actually, I lived right next door for 3 years when I was in elementary and junior high school. This location is off the beaten path, but, it's close enough to lots of shopping/dining, and, if you want to fight the crowds, I-24 is just minutes away. As a travel agent, I have no problem recommending a stay here to clients, and I myself will definitely book again! The amenities are beyond compare. As stated in other reviews, it's like staying in someone's home.

My wife and I stayed at Escape over the Labor Day weekend 2011. We have never stayed in a Bed & Breakfast before so we did not know what to expect. Robert met us at the door before we even got out of the vehicle, he gave us a tour of his facility and asked if we were in need of anything else. I liked the fact that he was there but not in an intrusive way. He gave us loads of info about the area and dining options without being pushy about any one in particular. The rooms were sparkly clean and fully appointed, the hot tub was great. ant trp to this area warrants a stay at Escape Bed & Breakfast and a walking tour of Paducah along the riverfront.

This place was outstanding for the price. My wife and I drove in on our motorcycle from the Ozarks and were thrilled with our selection. It is a bed and breakfast..... but not in the traditional sense..... if you are envisioning a victorian style home or have a pre-conceived notion of what you think a bed and breakfast is.... well... this place may surprise you. It is very modern. Kind of like the quinessential bachelor pad but with all the right touches for a night away from home. So many movies to chose from, a hut tub/jacuzzi, towels and soap, clean, immaculate, and everything in good repair. You won't find a hotel room this nice unless they just finished remodeling it... and even then.... you won't have a jacuzzi in your room..... and if you do..... it will cost you more than $65.00. The living room is available for movies, relaxing, or shooting the breeze with guests if you choose. The host was very nice and accomodating and took the time to give us the grand tour and show us how to use everything. He then told us if we needed anything, even if it was at 2:00 A.M. to let him know and he would take care of it and judging from his tone, I believe him to be genuine in saying that. I found the continental breakfast to be what most are. There was cereal, bagels, donut sticks, pecan wheels, orange juice, coffee, teas. There was also bottled water and sodas to drink in the fridge available at any time. The beds are a little low but were very comfortable and most should have no problem getting in or out of the beds. He even let me park my motorcycle underneath the carport to keep it out of the elements. To offer as much for so little with excellent service is just simply outstanding. There is also a good selection of restaurants within 10 minutes of the house. I would highly reccomend it anyone including those traveling on motorcycle.

We had a lovely stay at this comfortable and good value B & B in a modest neighborhood in Paducah, KY. My only criticism would be that the jacuzzi jets needed a very good cleaning to be up to standard. Our beds were comfortable, the host friendly and pleasant and overall a most welcoming place. I would be glad to be a guest here again.

My wife and i didn't want to travel far away from home because we have a 3 month old baby at home in metropolis IL (15 minute drive from here), so we decided to give Escape a visit, when we walked through the door it was like being in a totally different place, i mean this place is something like you would find in the smokies or branson (only alot more friendlier) Robert and Rachelle are perfect hosts, they told me about local attractions in the area that i had no clue about, they were helpful on everything, the rooms are REALLY nice and clean and you get a Hot Tub! you get 100s of movies to choose from either in-room or on the huge 100" projection screen. you get breakfast anytime you want it you get wi-fi internet and hot tubs and all for 65 a night we are ready to come back for birthdays, anniversary, and just to escape from it all. Thanks again Robert and Rachelle for such an awesome experience.

Escape B&B was fun and very relaxing. The hot tub in the private attached room was great! They had a huge selection of movies that could be viewed in your room or the common area. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this B&B!

I will definitely be returning and referring them to family & friends! I really enjoyed my stay & look forward to going back---SOON!!!!

We stayed at Escape for 4 wonderful nights!! We can never express what a wonderful place this is. Robert and Rachelle were absolutely amazing, they seem like old friends that we have known for years. The rooms are wonderful, and are ONLY $65 a night. We have stayed at other B & B's before, but this is absolutely our favorite. When you first walk in, you feel right at home. There were so many movies to choose from, both old and new releases. Our room had a 65" TV and whirlpool tub. The media room/dining area had a 100" TV, massage chair, drinks, ice, snacks, local information. Robert and Rachelle are more than happy to assist you with any questions that you have. The house was full the entire time that we were there, yet it was very quiet. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in this area!

This place was great. I can't wait to go back. We had the best time. It was close enough to downtown to be accessible, but far enough away to be quiet. The owners were great. They immediately tried to help with anything we needed. There was a slight problem with another guest ( we didn't even consider it a problem) but they were super fast to apologize and more than made up for the minor annoyance. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, with more than enough entertainment in house, this is the place. It was such an open and friendly atmosphere. It felt like staying at a friends. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I had never stayed at a b and b before, so I was a little nervous. As soon as we walked in the door, we felt at home. The feel of the home and the owners is just like visiting family. This place is a great getaway and the price is nice for us teachers who don't have a lot to spare. I am usually a total worry wart, but here I didn't even feel like I needed to lock the door... seriously very homey. Very close to downtown, which we loved, and not far from the mall either. And if you just wanna stay in the 300+ movies and hot tub are a bonus. We will definitely be back and will definitely to recommend this place to our friends and family. Final words- BOOK IT!!!!!

The room was clean and well appointed. All aspects of the facility were explained in detail. The innkeepers well very cordial, helpful and accomadating. There is much to do at the inn, or as little as you want. There are an unusally large number of movies available for either the big screen in the lounge area or for your own tv in the room. The hot tub was great and easy to use. The value for the money is second only to the great people running the inn. We will be back!

We stayed at the Escape B&B for our stay during the Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL and we loved it. The hot tub was wonderful, the bed was very comfortable, personal bathroom and shower, and cable with lots of movies to watch, including almost every disney movie made! The continental breakfast was always available, which made it very nice for a hungry pregnant guest, like me. We will most definitely stay here again!

We had a fabulous experience at Escape. We are already making plans to return. It is a good value and a great environment. The owners can offer local dining and entertainment options. We highly recommend Escape and can't wait to return.

My wife and I spent Valentines weekend here at this amazing B&B. Robert and Rochelle are very nice, friendly, and accommodating. Willing to work with you to make sure your stay is the best it can be. Just a stones throw from a beautiful city with plenty to see and do. The home theater center in the common room is to die for. 100", surround sound, Blue Ray projector. The dream machine for any movie lover. Free snacks (including popcorn) and drinks available 24/7 in the common room. Private Whirlpool tub in our room, along with a 65" HDTV right at the foot of our bed. Media server with over 400 movies available to choose from. Robert and Rochelle are able to give good recommendations as well. When I say our hosts were friendly, I mean it. My wife and Rochelle sat and talked for 2 hours before we checked out. I chatted with both Robert and Rochelle a few times throughout the weekend about many things. All in all, you get a $125-150 experience for a ridiculous, amazing $65 (or $75 on a holiday). These people still remember what value is all about. They strive to keep it good quality service with the ability to have a good nights vacation for less than $100. We are already hoping to plan enough return trips to receive a free stay.

Oh, how we loved this place!!! We planned a little mini-vacation in Paducah and The Escape Bed and Breakfast was the highlight of the trip!!! Once we got there we didn't care about continuing the rest of our plans! Rachelle and Robert were fabulous hosts and must work so hard to keep everything so clean, fresh and comfortable. It was a great experience and we hope to return again soon!!! You will not find a better place in Paducah to stay and the value is just ridiculous!!

Very cozy -- reasonable price.

We stayed here for our first anniversary. It was a great value. Where else can you get a room with a hot tub for $65?! The movie room is wonderful as well. It's like being in your own private cinema. They are friendly, helpful, and they leave out snacks and drinks for their guests so that you're always comfortable. I saw an earlier review which said that the only missing was popcorn, and I just wanted to say that they have that too! I'm already thinking of having my next girls' getaway here!

Since we were very skeptical about B&B's we almost didn't try this out, but were very glad we did. It was nice and quiet, just what we wanted and the owners were more than helpful with anything we needed. This was so much nicer than staying in a motel. We are already planning another trip in the near future.

We recently were planning a one day Getaway.After looking through hundreds of places online we came across the "Escape B&B".After reading a few reviews we decided to give it a try and headed to Paducah. Having never stayed at a B&B before we did not know what to expect except for the hundreds of things we had read online. Let me just say from the moment Rachelle greeted us at the front door to the moment we said goodbye We were amazed. This place really rocked! It is clean and comfy with a touch of style that the young and the old can enjoy. Robert & Rachelle really make you feel like you are just visiting an old friends house. They even offered to drive us to a resutrant so we could both have a drink with the peace of mind not to drive. All the movies, the hot tub, the stocked bevrage fridge, and the willingness to accomadate in any way possible really can make you wonder how they could afford to charge so little in today's society. On top of it all they offer a frequent guest reward card, once you stay three nights you get a free night. This is the perfect place that you just don't find anymore. Me and my husband stayed here for our first anniversary. I was skeptical as i looked for places online to stay when i saw this place for the price that it stated. I refused to book online because I "just had to see for myself". Well two seconds after arriving I was impressed!! I wished I had booked online and never doubted!!! I didn't know such value existed tho! The 24 hour food/beverage in the main room, the AMAZING hot tub, the SUPER friendly Robert and Rachelle! It was all worth every penny! We are already making plans to go back and take family with us! Don't doubt it just book it!

I loved this B&B because it was so different from the usual type. The owners were fantastic, friendly, helpful and wonderful to me and my guest. The only suggestion I have is to change the breakfast fair. The breakfast was packaged processed food - they type one would find in a vending machine. This is not really something I like from a B&B.

$65 a night and we had a hot tub and private bath in our room. The owners drove us to the nearby nightlife; very friendly!

We went to Paducah for the the quilt show and stayed at Robert and Rochelle's B&B. We had the most wonderful time and were amazed at how helpful they both were getting us back and forth to the show and dinners. They even picked us up at the Nashville Airport for a small fee that was well worth it. They were very friendly and very accomidating. I would highly recommend a stay there and we are hoping to return next year. Rita Hynes

I have just spent 3 wonderful days in Paducah and lucky for me, it was at Escape. At first glance it is not your everyday bed and breakfast, but 2 seconds with the owners will change your concept of the expected bed and breakfast. The room, cleanliness,65 inch tvs, 300 movie titles, and common area pale in comparison to the sencerity, service and hospitality that both Robert and Rachelle offer from the moment you walk in. This 1st trip to Paducah will surely not be our last, and they will all include staying at Escape.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days. Overall, it was a good value for what we paid. They have an impressive DVD selection, and we enjoyed taking those to our room! I also liked the free beverage fridge in the common area along with 24-hour snacks. Our room was very simple--nothing luxurious or fancy. This is not your typical B & B. Because it's so casual & no-frills, it felt more like a hostel. Our room was VERY cold at night! I was told to close our vents but this didn't help much. The walls are also thin, so we were annoyed by the 4 kids slamming doors & running down the hall. The innkeepers are friendly and willing to give recommendations. We used the home theatre one night which was also fun. While I missed the ambiance, character, and comfort of higher end B & B's, this one was worth the money we saved.

Thank you for your feedback, we're glad you enjoyed our "Movie Theme" and found us to be good overall value. We would like to address a couple of the points you make. Firstly, in regards to the comparison to a hostel, we would like to reassure future guests that all our rooms are private with private bathrooms (just like a hotel). Perhaps the hostel feel refers to the shared home theater living room, where we encourage guests to watch movies in the evening, and therefore you're more likely to socialize with fellow guests here than at a traditional B&B. There was a family of 5 staying with us that week, and we apologize if their kids were loud. We would ask all future guests to please notify us of any similar issues, as we would gladly bring it to the other guests attention. Finally, we apologize if you were cold at night. The thermostat for our guest wing is set to an average to accommodate everyone's comfort. That night it was set to 72. Each room is equipped with adjustable vents (hence the advise the close them), and also screened windows that open, a fan, a radiator, and extra blankets. We try to cover all eventualities. Our number one goal is guest comfort and enjoyment, and our only regret is that we were not advised you were still cold. We wanted a weekend getaway for our first anniversary and this place was perfect - from the card wishing us well and a heart made of Hershey kisses on a table in our room to the hot tub. The innkeepers made us feel very welcome in their home. The room was spotless and spacious. We'll go back.

I AM FROM ENGLAND AND IT HAS BEEN HARD FOR ME TO FIT IN OVER HERE BUT STAYING AT ESCAPE B&B HAS BEEN THE BEST IDEA YET, ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND GO THERE VERY OFTEN, ALWAYS A SERVICE WITH A SMILE, AND THE ROOMS ARE ALWAYS CLEAN THE FRIDGE ALWAYS STOCKED UP, IM ACTUALLY AT THAT PRICE YOU CAN GET ALL THAT, I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO ROBERT AND ROCHELLE.

we were so amazed at the deal we got for our money. my husband is in military and we dont get to spend a lot of time together but this was the perfect get away and we were still close to the kiddo. we were so pleased with our stay that before we left we already booked a room for the next time my hubby comes home.

Me and wife looking for just a little one night get away from home and this was perfect. As soon as you walk in your like "WOW". Owner is very friendly and down to earth. Glad we didnt stay at a hotel/motel. Upon checkout we made another reservation for Valentines Day. I look forward to staying again. Also appreciate the military discount. Me and boyfriend always come here to "Get away", or "Escape". The first time we stayed i couldn't believe how nice and beautiful the place is. It is so clean, and peaceful, and Robert and Rachelle are so nice and willing to make our stay as comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. Whatever we needed they always helped to get it, and made sure we were satisfied. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Whenever we want to stay somewhere we know exactly where we want to go. The place is amazing. I love it. And its so affordable. For such a nice place its a reasonable price. We always keep coming back... nothing else compares to it.

This is a great place to get away for a weekend or just one night. The owners are fantastic and very friendly. The rooms and the entertainment area are very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was outstanding! You won't find anyplace else as nice for the price you pay at Escape. There is not a better deal to be found! Wow! The people who run this B&B intend to give you your money's worth and they do a fine job. Plus, they are just wonderful host; very easy going and they really want to make your stay pleasant. The whole place is clean, well cared for and lives up to it's name. It is definitely an escape. From the main room with the 100" screen theater to the comfort of the beds, you tend to not want the world intruding. Makes you want to turn off the cell phone. The hot tub, the aroma therapy packets, the massage chair, the movies, the fresh clean linens and towels, even the under lighting of the beds makes you want to stay longer. You just don't want to leave. If you get the chance to visit you will be well pleased and feel as if you should have paid more.

My friend and I were in Paducah to see Jesus Christ Superstar. We had never been to Paducah before and found the people to be quite friendly and helpful. None more so than our hosts at this B&B. The rooms were large, with a big-screen TV/DVD/VCR in each and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms were amazing. If I ever have reason to be in Paducah again, this is where I will stay. Very good value for the money.

Wonderful stay, great hospitality very affordable

We live in Paducah, and were looking for a one night Escape. We picked the right place! Within the hour after we walked in, we booked the entire house for the weekend of our daughter's wedding. The owners are very friendly but not obtrusive, the place itself is decorated "as if Tokyo had more space". Clean, minimalist, futuristic, and the audio-visual equipment is amazing! (It would be the best deal in town for Quilt Week, by the way.) We cancelled our reservation at Max's Brick Oven for the evening...we wanted to spend as much time at Escape as possible. Within two hours after we arrived, we called friends over and watched a movie on the projection television in the living room. They have a great selection of DVDs from which to choose. The communal space is "funk"tional, with futons, California comfy couches, a disco ball and lighting, beanbags and a massage chair. The room itself was cherry blossom themed coverlets, Hollywood style beds and black lacquer furniture with its own LARGE television/DVD setup and a wonderful jacuzzi tub. There is a movie poster theme throughout, and our room perfectly played out the 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and 'House of Flying Daggers' on the walls. Eating facilities are clean, well stocked, and Robert even went so far as to get us oranges and soymilk. The only thing missing in this house is popcorn, so bring your favorite movie snacks and settle in for a great Escape!

This was a wonderful escape for the weekend. A very nice place to stay. The hosts were fantastic. Very friendly and down to earth. The Escape B&B is super clean and very well kept. The rooms were very comfortable and the hot tub was immaculate. I highly recommend this place in all areas of the ratings.

Truly a hideen treasure. Each room is a honeymoon suite! The owner is very personable and caring. The best hotels are dwarfed by the video / audio amennities in each room as well as in the great common area.

This B&B was an amazing retreat. The owners were delightful and wanted to do anything they could to make our stay memorable...even going so far as to give us a wedding gift since we were staying with them on our wedding night. The B&B was super clean and we will definately be back...I've never stayed at a more enjoyable place that was comfortable & where they really wanted to make you feel like you were at home. The hot tub was most enjoyable. This B&B is well worth the extremely affordable rate charged for the comfort, the atmosphere, and the chance to meet these charming people.
