Nestled within the lush 400+ acres that are Shamrock Hills Farm, the Colonels Inn offers the perfect escape for anyone looking for a relaxing respite in a location complete with spectacular hill country views and numerous activities to choose from.
We are a horse friendly Inn with accommodations and riding facilities for up to three visiting horses. Riding lessons available. So come golf, ride, hike, boat, fish, or simply do nothing...it will be an experience that will leave you asking for more!

From Fort Knox area:
Take 31W to Highway 60 West towards Hardinsburg, KY. At Harned, turn on to HWY 79 and 259 (signs to Rough River State Park and Resort). Travel approximately 10 miles until you cross Rough River Lake and enter the outer limits of McDaniels. Turn right on to HWY 79 at the 1st State Bank and Fentress Marine. Travel approximately 2.5 miles passing Nicks Boat Landing, Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church (both on your right), and the Blue Hardinsburg water tower (on your left). Turn right on to Army Navy Lane. We are down the hill on the right… follow the signs to The Colonel’s Inn. - Nearest major airport: Louisville, KY (SDF-Standiford Field) 90 miles

Follow Signs to I-65 South; Turn off on to the Gene Snyder freeway; Follow to exit 1 (Fort Knox exit); Turn left at light on to 31W South; follow to Highway 60 West turn off. Once on Highway 60 West, coninue using directions listed above for travel from Fort Knox area.
