The Columbine Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful place to stay and is convenient to all major attractions. We are only two blocks north of the University of Louisville. If you go out our front door, turn left and walk five minutes, you can stand in front of masterpieces by Rembrandt, Monet, and Chagall at the Speed Art Museum. Or, you may simply want to stay "home" at the Columbine Bed & Breakfast which has over 6,300 sq.ft with gorgeous original inlaid wood floors, Honduran mahogany pocket doors, marble fireplaces, stained glass windows, two large porches, central heat/air, and all private baths.     The Duncan Suite is 600 sq. ft. of private comfort.  It features our only King bed, a twin bed, a private living room, a TV room, and a private detached bath w/ single whirlpool tub, and a pair of lush terry cloth robes.  The suite also features a refrigerator and microwave.  Free wireless Internet access.
    La Romantica is the original master bedroom and has an attached master bath.  In the winter months, this is the BEST room for enjoying the working fireplace!  Free wireless Internet access.In our Di Sopra room, you can enjoy a beautiful view of our gardens.  The room is decorated in fresh colors and has an attached private bath with walk-in marble shower.  The ornately carved walnut sleigh bed was designed by Bob Mackie!  It is a masterpiece of workmanship...enjoy it and be glad you didn't have to carry it up the stairs!  Free wireless Internet access.
    The Garden Room, of course, is named for its view.  Possibly our most popular room...everyone loves the 4 poster rice bed!  Private, detached bath; terry robes in room; working fireplace; free wireless Internet access.The Verde Room is one of the original master bedrooms.  We believe it was the husband's room as it has the smaller closet of the two!  The enormous windows let in the beautiful Kentucky sunlight.     The Grecia Room is crisp and clean and neat looking.  A very handsome room, indeed!  Private, detached bath; terry robes in room; working fireplace; free wireless Internet access.Relax on our screened in porch.  This might become your favorite place in the mansion!  It is one of two porches where guests can relax outside while staying at the Columbine.
    Enjoy breakfast in our richly adorned dining room.  Every morning can be a holiday when you are surrounded by rare Honduran mahogany complimented by a beautiful rose marble fireplace!
