My husband and I stayed at First Farm Inn for 2 nights as part of our anniversary trip. We loved it and wished we could stay longer but we had to get back to our kids. The food was great, the house was clean and in order and Jen was very friendly. The 3 of us took a ride for a good amount of time. While out we were able to gain a lot of information about the horses and their care (we plan to have some in the future). We had never been to a B&B before and this was a great first experience! We plan to return and will share with our friends and family. :)

Our family of 4 stayed in the larger room for a weekend in March in 2013. The weather a bit iffy, a bit of snow on the ground in spots, but warmer than what we left behind in Northern NY. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us, loved the large private bathroom, the books/games/DVDs in library were useful too. I was at a conference at the nearby Creation Museum, so my husband and kids took advantage of the horse back riding and exploring on the farm while I was busy. Oh, and the breakfasts... delicious!

My family and I choose to stay at First Farm as part of a Christmas gift to our 3 children, first time skiing at perfect North just 10 min. away. We couldn't have had a better time. The experience was great for our family in that we were able to relax in a comfy room at First Farm Inn that accommodates 5 with extra space even. Breakfast each morning was great and the kids will never forget the experience of riding horses in the snow (Hallmark moment)! If you like to unplug, enjoy animals, good people, and home cooked breakfast in a short getaway, First Farm lines up well!

We enjoyed a one night stay at First Farm Inn recently and were absolutely impressed. Extremely clean, hospitable, excellent food, cozy. We definitely plan to return!

I enjoyed some quiet time while my girls had a blast riding the horses, playing with the dog and cats, and swinging on the tree swings. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, fun to talk to. And a wonderful breakfast!

The B & B was clean and quiet. The owners were very friendly. A wonderful get away for my wife and I. The cats and dog were very nice. We had dinner at Third and Main in downtown Aurora, great food, friendly service, and great atmosphere!

My name is Emily, I am 14 years old and I had a great time taking riding lessons at First Farm Inn. I had never been horseback riding before and it was so much fun! The horses were big, but very nice and it was easy to learn. I really want to go riding again and I will tell everyone about it!

My 2 granddaughters and I just spent 4 nights at First Farm. It was wonderful. We will be back. We loved everything!

What a truly memorable break in peaceful surroundings! The accommodation in the Treetops room was not only spacious and clean but absolutely beautiful - a home away from home. The breakfasts were phenomenal and offered an opportunity for new friends to get to know one another and compare notes on great new places to explore. The horseback riding was superb and it was heartwarming to see how well Jen cares for her horses and new riders! Instruction offered by Jen before and during trail rides enhances any riders ability - no matter what their level. I cannot recommend this beautiful B & B highly enough - I will most definitely return in the years to come!

I contacted Jen and told her I was homeschooling my teenage son and looking to have horseback riding lessons and a lesson on the care of horses. She was very accommodating to our needs. We had a wonderful stay in the Treetop Room. The breakfasts were out of this world. We loved meeting all the animals on the farm. My son wanted to take some of them home. My son agreed with me that he would like to come back again.

We were looking for a place to stay and horseback ride in Kentucky on our way to New Orleans, and we couldn't have chosen a better place, so much so, that we we tried to stay again on our return trip, but they were booked! The room was super comfortable, dinner recommendation was perfect, breakfast was delicious, and Sam and Bode were a treat to ride the next morning for a couple of hours with Jen and Susan. I see more road trips in our future! :)

I had the good fortune to stay at the enchanting First Farm Inn, where hospitality, food and fun reigned supreme. Our hosts, Jen and Dana, took great care in providing a comfy room with all the amenities, scrumptious food, and an incredible horseback ride on the spacious property. As a life-long rider, I was most impressed with the instruction Jen provided for a couple that were first-time riders. She provided a lovely overview of “the horse”, demonstrated how to work with and around their chosen mount for the morning, and had them in a comfort zone within minutes. We all began in an enclosed ring, then ventured out for a trail ride. By the end of the ride, the two “newbies” were having a ball and both decided it was such fun, they’d be back. I intend to do the same, and suggest you, too, find your way to First Farm Inn. Nancy Hapgood UnBridled Horse Tours Lexington, KY

Very friendly innkeepers, providing great suggestions on local restaurants and attractions in the area. Landscape and scenery was beautiful. Lots of fun animals to play with & watch such as chickens, dog, cats and horses. The atmosphere is very comfortable & peaceful. Innkeepers cater to dietary needs. I would definitely come back & stay if I'm ever in the area.

This was one of the few bed and breakfasts that allowed us to bring our young son (7 yrs.). We have stayed here twice and it is like visiting extended family. Last December (2012), I called Jen to let her know we would be arriving very late. She said she would leave the door unlocked and would get our beds ready. When we arrived, we let ourselves in, locked the door behind us, and fell into the sleep-ready beds. You sure can't do that at a hotel! It was just wonderful!!! Beyond that, breakfasts were yummy and healthy, the animals sweet, and our Christmas stuff was very safe in our vehicle. Oh, I almost forgot...Jen mailed our son's hat back to us. We didn\'t even realize it was gone. How thoughtful!

First Farm was a home away from home for me and my husband. The hospitality was top-notch and the accommodations were outstanding! I rode a lovely horse named Buster across the picturesque landscape of the farm. We will be returning soon!

Very wonderful place. Really back to nature and "home on the farm" feel. Owners are wonderful, welcoming and very accommodating. Love all these animals around. They get a 5 star too -- for being so friendly. Would come back if in area again!

My husband took me to this B&B for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The experience was awesome. The horses, dog and cats were so friendly and the ride was so great I did it twice! And, we slept like logs!!!! You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here. Jen had me riding like a pro in no time! Her knowledge and love of horses is evident. We would stay here over and over again.

Fabulous place if you like animals, especially cats and horses. Breakfast was outstanding and owner are very nice. The Tree Tops room exceeded our expectations and especially like the large private bath. Location is also very convenient to the interstate and not that far from Cincinnati. Hope to go back someday.

My friend and I were lucky to find this B&B that offered our first love of horseback riding. We received a warm welcome from the Inn Keeper who gave us privacy but also made sure that we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Jen is a lovely woman who is multi-talented and easy to be around. She is a remarkable cook and we ate so much at breakfast that we did not eat lunch. Jen took us on horseback rides after ensuring our level of riding skill. We could not have enjoyed the rides more and loved the horses. There is no doubt that we will return again for a four night visit. If you do not ride, the home offers much space for the guests to enjoy and Jen is very familiar with the area and can direct you toward your areas of interest. Loved our mini vacation!

My gf and I booked a 3-night stay at First Farm Inn for a brief getaway after our hectic teaching semesters, and from the first, Jen welcomed us with sincere warmth and an invitation to make their home our own. The room was comfortable and clean; the breakfasts ample, nutritious, and filling; the location at the end of a secluded road quiet and serene; the horseback riding and presence of other animals--Odo the dog, and Ravenpaw, Yoda, Corky, Xavier, Alex, Squeak, and Tig the cats--homey and comforting. But it was really the small things that impressed us the most; for example, although the mini-frig in our room was stocked with various sodas, Jen noticed we had brought and were drinking Diet Pepsi. We found DP in the frig the next day. On the horseback ride, she was very attentive to our comfort level and adapted accordingly. Jan and I were enjoying our time so much, we extended our stay by another night. We both recommend this B&B w/o reservation; if you are looking for a clean, quiet place to renew and refresh yourself, this is the place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at First Farm Inn! From the engaging soccer interactions with Odo the Awesome to snuggling with the cats to our enlightening and relaxing trail rides with Jen and the horses to the breakfasts my daughter still raves about, our spring break at First Farm Inn was a fantastic getaway!

My husband and I spent two fabulous nights at the First Farm Inn for a ski week-end in January. Dana, Jen, and Tatiana are wonderful hosts! Our room was spacious, clean, and homey with all the ammenities we could need...extra towels and blankets, bathrobes for the hot tub, a fireplace (OK, it was a heater/FP but added a nice touch), and complimentary sodas and water in our room's fridge. They are very knowledgable about the area and the fun activities locally and in nearby Cincy. We enjoyed skiing at Perfect North slopes which is only about a 15 minute drive from the inn and looked forward to coming back to the inn for comfort and relaxation. A dip in the hot tub, cards in front of the fireplace, and an afternoon nap with Ravenpaw, one of their wonderful feline friends, made our trip. Breakfast is fantastic! Hopefully you'll be lucky enough to have the homemade cinnamon rolls! Yum! Come and go as you please, get interesting dining and activity ideas from Jen, great conversationalists, and just relax and recharge. I highly recommend staying at First Farm Inn!! You won't be disappointed. My husband and I are already planning our next visit! Thank you Jen, Dana, and Tatiana!

Magical weekend for best friends separated by 200 miles... Our mother/daughter/girlfriend weekend was fabulous. The hospitality cannot be beaten... starting w/ Odo (dog) greeting us w/ his ball and ending w/ our favorite horses nodding to us as if to say "see you next time - safe travels" as we drove off. Jen is not only a wonderful cook and hostess, but we learned more about horses and their behaviors, habits, maintenance, and agility than anywhere else we've been. The Treetop Room was perfect for us: clean, homey, spacious, comfortable. Bathroom is nice and big. Hot tub is awesome outside under the stars - feels great after a day of riding! The only "caution" I can provide other travelers is out of the innkeepers' control: They are located near I-275 so you do hear traffic. We were there when the leaves were off the trees, so I imagine in the summer months it wouldn't be as noticeable. We had a rejuvenating, lovely stay and highly recommend this special spot!

We have three children in which not only were our expectations met, but the children were thrilled with the friendliness of the Jen and Dana and the animals, the games, musical instruments, available food and beverages and comfortable, clean sleeping quarters. The attention to detail was phenomenal with nothing left to need or want. It was a luxury away from home we will never forget!

We stayed for 2 nights and it was the best first experience in a B&B! Jen, Dana, and Tatiana are so nice and their service is spectacular. The house is beautiful and very clean! They made my boyfriend's birthday really special with birthday cake! We got snowed in the first day and they made it really nice for us. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back! It was definitely a really great place to go!

My boyfriend and I just wanted a nice, quiet getaway and we did get exactly what we wanted here. Jen & Dana were extremely nice and helpful, the house was beautiful and the hot tub was very relaxing. I took my Fiance who had only been on a horse 2 times in his life (I had over 40 yr of riding) and we both had a wonderful time. The equine training he got was the best I had ever seen in a "rental" horse-Jen is Great! But I can recommend this to both riders and non-riders.

We took my husband's parents to First Farm Inn to celebrate their birthdays and our December wedding anniversaries..I pick First Farm because my mother-in-law was, is, and always will be an equestrian...The four of us had a wonderful time! This was the best B&B experience we've had! The meals, rooms, outdoors, pets, Jen, Dana and Tatiana were just great!!!! I highly recommend First Farm if you are a skier and want a place to stay while you ski at Perfect North or if you just want to chill out and finish that book you've been wanting to read. It is the right amount of getaway to the country and you can be in the big city in minutes....We will definitely go back!

Very relaxing and well-maintained farm house. As I was leaving, a small item dropped from my pocket onto the driveway, and before I knew it was missing, Jen had emailed me about it, and then sent it by regular mail. Jen is a true animal lover, especailly horses. I enjoyed the breakfast conversation with a fellow horse-lover who had stayed overnight while transporting his horse across several states. the location is also convenient for Cincinnati.

What a relaxing setting for a quick get away from hectic schedules and busy family life in Greater Cincinnati. In mere minutes of travel, we were out in the countryside walking down a gravel lane, soaking in the beauty of a fall day on a horse farm. We went out for an excellent dinner in Burlington and returned to unwind for a peaceful evening. After a fabulous breakfast, Jen took us out for a ride. As a novice, I was perfectly at ease on Sundance after some basic lessons, while my husband gallopped off across the field. The proprietors were very warm and welcoming!

Wow! We wanted pet friendly, and we got it. Fluffy, the resident chow, was a BFF for our Buddy on arrival. Buddy even got along with most of the cats! I visited with the 9 horses, and the breakfasts were to die for. A very nice and restful place, and actually very convenient for visiting Cincinnati. Jen, Dana and Tatiana were wonderful hosts. A great place to stay.

Planned a trip to First Farm Inn and proposed on the front porch. Our one night stay at the Inn was great. Walked all around the farm, back roads, lake, etc. Enjoyed all the cats, horses, and dog. Went horseback riding Sat morning which was both educational fun. Jen and Dana did a great job.

We spent a week in March at FFI and 3 nights in June. We will be staying at FFI when ever we need to rest our bones in KY. Jen and Dana mix the right amount of service and leaving you alone. Let them know what you want and you will get it. I have never rode and had a blast. My daughter rides a lot and learned a ton from Jen. Quick ride to the city if you need it. Want to take my motorcycle next time to explore the nice hills and turns in the area. "Sometimes we visit your country and live in your home Sometimes we ride on your horses Sometimes we walk alone Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own..."

The setting for First Farm is truly idyllic, lush with well-groomed gardens and plants and lots of places to rest and relax outdoors -- on the porch, on a bench or in a hammock. The animals roaming about are peaceful and welcoming, as are the inkeepers Jen, Dana and Tatiana. Jen is a fabulous riding instructor and coach, and her breakfasts are sure to spoil. The massages are a great touch, too. This is a place you'll never want to leave.

A friendly smile, a fire in the fireplace on a chilly night, a cheerful fluffy dog to greet us, such was the welcome at First Farm. We enjoyed the room, clean, nice, and lots of little thoughtful details. Snacks and drinks in the fridge were welcomed. Pretty quilts, notes to let us know the details we might not have been sure of. A little cd player for music, and lots of info on the surrounding area. Minutes from the Creation museum so great if that is your destination. The hot tub was luxurious, the bed was firm but comfortable. Overall a very pleasant visit - and the breakfast was excellent. My only regret was how short our stay was. I would suggest booking at least 2 nights! Tracey

A great rest away from city life with fun horseback riding. Don't worry if you are a novice at the riding part, Jen is the best teacher for horsemanship you will ever find! Fabulous food, great accommodations, fun quaint surrounding towns. Don't miss this one!

A great place to enjoy fall foliage. Plenty of activities on site or nearby, depending on your interests, yet no pressure to do anything. I spent a lot of time on the porch swing with hot tea and also played their piano some each evening. The farm is small but has a woods in back for a short stroll. Hearty breakfasts will get your day off to a good start.

The stay at First Farm Inn was very pleasent. The family is friendly-as are all the critters. It felt like home. The farm house and 1870's room are beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts, the well stocked refrigerator in the room and, the directions to attractions and restaurants in this 3 state area. The scenery is fantastic. I will definitely return.

We were delighted and felt very comfortable in the country setting of this home-like inn. The room was great and especially the breakfast. The conversation was warm, as was the whole wheat peach pancakes, with sides of cooked apples and sausage. Having the option of a massage and then to relas in the hot tub, was icing on the cake. I enjoyed being around the horses, cats, and dog, as it brought back child hood memories of my grandparents farm.

My boyfriend and I stayed at First Farm in just a few days ago, and well, we didn't want to leave. Jen and Dana really make you feel at home, and I certainly wish our house had someone who cooked us an amazing breakfast, taught us how to ride horses, and had a fantastic hot tub. We're definitely going back when it's warm outside, even though the fireplace did a pretty good job of keeping us toasty. Their dog is also pretty awesome, just keep an eye on your shoes by the hot tub! :-)
