1852 Hall Place is located near historic downtown Glasgow. Take a step back in time; this pre-civil war home was visited by Abraham Lincoln who studied under Judge Tompkins who built the home for Theodosia Tompkins Hall and Dr. James Hall. The home was built by slaves who handcrafted each brick on site creating 16 inch walls, 6 fireplaces, and high ceilings. The Underground Railroad used a cave under the library room to move out of Glasgow to freedom. Hall Place is on the National Registry of Historic Places. Relax in the parlor, library, or billiards/game room. There are four themed rooms ALL HAVE PRIVATE BATHS, A/C and Heat, cable tv, DVD, wireless internet, and full breakfast in the morning. We are near Mammoth Cave National Park, National Corvette Museum, Barren River Lake State Park, Lincoln's birthplace, and other caves with tours.

We really enjoyed our stay. Karin and Gary were a joy to meet and spend time with and the house is spectacular.

We stayed with Gary & Karin and their place, the 1852 Hall Place Bed and Breakfast, was awesome. Their hospitality, care, and genuineness is apparent from the moment you enter the doors. Food was wonderful. House was an antique but very interesting. Loved the stories - we will be going back many times

Charming historic Bed and Breakfast. Innkeepers were very friendly and welcoming along with giving a detailed account of the history of the home and area. Room was spacious and decorated to the period however the mattress on the bed had no support. Great trip regardless of the bed. Would visit again if in the area but try a different room.

Had a beautiful stay at 1852 Hall Place. Rich with history and decorated for the period. Gary & Karin were kind and accommodating. My only con was that there is an underlying musty smell. I understand it is an old home, full of antique furnishings and antique books. And typically I wouldn't even mention such a thing. But as a warning to those who have any type of environmental asthma, the mustiness could potentially give you a bad asthma attack as it did for me. Other then that, no complaints.

The owners of the B and B have an amazing story to share. The history of the previous owners was fascinating. But the connection of the home to the present owners is a tale not to be missed.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast. We are so glad we choose Hall Place!! The Innkeepers were super nice! We were chatting about movies, there was a movie we had not seen. They brought it to us to watch that evening. They went above and beyond. They told us the local places to eat, We stayed in the Suite Romance Room. The bed was the most comfortable bed we had slept on! The following morning, we had an amazing breakfast..fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs and Belgian waffles. While we were eating, Karen, gave us a history lesson on the house and things in Glasgow. It was very interesting! We would highly recommend Hall Place. We look forward to going back!!
