The 1830s Willis Graves Federal Brick Homestead is the Main House on the inn property and includes Thomas' Room, Catharine's Room, and the Graves' Suite. Guests may also choose from accommodations in the 1850s William Rouse log cabin, both buildings are furnished with appropriate antiques and reproductions.
The William Rouse Log Cabin is steps from the Main House and features the William Rouse Suite and the William Rouse Retreat room upstairs. Luxurious touches include whirlpool baths, steam showers, plush robes and towels, fireplaces, triple sheeting with fine linens, down comforters, top quality mattresses, fresh baked cookies, and complimentary beverages.
William Rouse Log Cabin Suite - This first floor, queen size bed suite includes a gas fireplace, lower entertainment level, and private deck. Enjoy a long soak in the double whirlpool private bath or enjoy the added luxury of the custom steam shower. In-room amenities include cable TV/DVD player, access to a comprehensive movie collection, wireless Internet, refrigerator, microwave, fresh baked cookies, and complimentary beverages.
The William Rouse Suite bathroom in the log cabin is a spa-like oasis. It includes a double air-jet whirlpool bath, steam shower, sink with a natural stone vanity, and plenty of room for toiletries in a recessed mirror.
The William Rouse Retreat is a second floor accommodation that includes a queen size bed furnished with triple sheeting and down comforter, double whirlpool bath and steam shower. In-room amenities include cable TV/DVD player, access to a comprehensive movie collection, wireless Internet, refrigerator, microwave, fresh baked cookies, and complimentary beverages.
The William Rouse Retreat Bathroom includes a double air-jet whirlpool bath and steam shower. This spa-like haven also includes a large sink and plenty of storage for toiletries in a recessed mirror.
The Mr. and Mrs. Graves' Suite bedroom includes a queen size bed furnished with triple sheeting and down comforters, double whirlpool bath, and steam shower. This two-room suite has a private living area, access to a comprehensive movie collection, wireless Internet, refrigerator, microwave, fresh baked cookies, and complimentary beverages.
The Mr. and Mrs. Graves' Suite includes a private living room complete with a gas fireplace, cable TV/DVD, refrigerator, microwave, table and chairs for private dining, comfortable sofa, wingback chair, and a desk. A private exterior entrance is also part of this two-room suite.
The Mr. and Mrs. Graves' Suite bathroom features a double air-jet whirlpool bath and steam shower. A marble vanity area and plush bath linens add to the relaxing atmosphere.
Thomas' Room is located upstairs in the Main House. Luxurious touches in this room include a queen size bed with triple sheeting and a down comforter, oversized single whirlpool bath/shower, plush robes and towels, fresh baked cookies, and complimentary beverages. Guests may also enjoy wireless Internet, a flat-screen cable TV/DVD player, and a comprehensive movie collection.
The Thomas' Room bathroom features an oversized, single whirlpool bathtub/shower combination with a pedestal sink and plenty of natural sunlight through a built-in skylight.
Catharine's Room is our cozy upstairs room in the Main House. Luxurious touches in this room include a full size bed with triple sheeting and a down comforter, single whirlpool bath/shower, plush robes and towels, fresh baked cookies, and complimentary beverages. Guests may also enjoy wireless Internet, flat-screen cable TV/DVD player, and a comprehensive movie collection. Please note: Due to the camera lens, this room may appear larger than its actual size.
Nancy and the entire team work hard in the kitchen to ensure that guests experience delicious treats during their stay. Homemade cookies are waiting on your bed upon arrival. In addition, breakfast can be customized to meet each guest’s dietary needs and delivered to any of our suites by request.
At Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast Inn, guests dine at individual tables so they may enjoy privacy and relaxation during breakfast.
We offer two types of breakfast fare to meet guest needs: either a quick continental breakfast for those in a hurry or a full gourmet breakfast served at individual tables with fine linen tablecloths and china. For those in our dining room, we try to appeal to all the senses with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of soft music playing in the background. Our rotating menus include breakfast dishes that reflect our effort to present your meal with an artistic, attractive flair and include a first course of fresh fruit and homemade granola.
Our Three Cheese Tart is available some mornings as one of the menu selections during breakfast. It is featured in the Room at the Table cookbook and the recipe is on our blog for those wishing to recreate this savory quiche at home.
Our Crème Brulee French Toast is a signature dish that is available on both our rotating breakfast menus. We stuff French bread with homemade crème brulee and then dip each piece in fresh egg batter before cooking and then topping with turbinado sugar. The sugar is caramelized with a kitchen torch to create a memorable and indulgent breakfast entree. Is it a guest favorite!
Nearby Eagle Bend Farm is our source for the farm fresh eggs used in our breakfast dishes. Besides their great flavor, you might also notice a slight change in the color of our dishes since these eggs have the bright yellow yolks that are characteristic of quality farm eggs. We think you will enjoy them as much as we do!
We make batches of homemade granola for our breakfast service. It is a the perfect topping for fresh berries and in season fruits. Several guests have asked us for a copy of the recipe, so we printed complimentary recipe cards that are available on site or you can find the recipe on our blog.
Chocolate-covered strawberries and/or sparkling juice can be added to reservations by request. (Just check our website for current pricing and details.) Cork bottle openers are also available in each guest room for guests who wish to bring their own champagne.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a fast drive to downtown Cincinnati (15 mins or so) but felt miles away from the city. I was surprised to see the B&B set close to a side road near downtown Burlington, KY but it didn't cause any issues and we didn't notice any traffic noise (even while in the main house). We stayed in the William Rouse Suite and it was set behind the main house and was peaceful and private. Nancy and Mary are warm and welcoming and I'm still dreaming of the Creme Brulee French Toast and Nancy's Breakfast Pie. Delicious! Also, we had a great dinner at the Tousey House located just a block or two from the B&B.

Cancellations: Burlington's Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast is a small owner-operated property and every reservation is both special and important to us. We do understand that situations will arise, but we have a 7-day cancellation policy. If you need to cancel for ANY reason 7 days or closer to the night or nights reserved and we cannot re-book the room, you will be charged for the night or nights reserved. To cancel, you must talk to someone on the phone and receive a cancellation number, you can reach us at 859-689-5096. Then, please follow up in writing with an email. This procedure helps everyone involved and it ensures that your cancellation is valid. If we are able to re-book the room, you will be refunded the entire amount unless the new booking does not cover the length of your original reservation (in which case you are only responsible for the night or nights that were not re-booked) or if the new booking was made on the same day of arrival (in which case you are only responsible for a 20% re-booking fee since same day reservations receive a 20% discount). Group bookings including a full house rental are subject to a 14-day cancellation policy. Due to the historical nature of our buildings, we do not allow anything that burns, to include candles, smoking, etc. A wireless network is in place on the property for WIFI Internet service. However, we cannot be held responsible for unexpected interruption in wireless service or guests' inability to connect. Check in is any time after 3:00pm. Check out is at 11:00am.

This was our second stay at the Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast. It was just as great as the first time, Nancy is the most welcoming and friendly. They bend over backwards to make it the best stay possible and the breakfast is the best!!! We have told everyone we know about the little cottage cabin and the breakfast. It is worth the trip to meet Nancy and the wonderful setting that is offered.

Husband and I were looking for a quick and relaxing getaway to have some conversation sans kids. Burlington's Willis Graves fit the bill. Nancy is amazing and her hospitality shows in the details. Although we stayed in one of the smaller rooms, we were still pampered with yummy cookies, an expresso machine and more. It was cozy and lovely. Right down the road is Idlewood Park, where you can hike and bike to your heart's delight. Around the corner is The Tousey House, a Kentucky-esque dining extravaganza. And, yes, it's perfectly acceptable to dine there every evening. We can't wait to return!

This place is absolute heaven! Everything is perfection and comfort. Ambiance, decor, food, amenities and peaceful quiet. This is our second stay and we will be back. Sorry we couldn't stay longer. This is one of the best B and B's and we have been to many. Pick the cabin, you will not be disappointed. And don't forget to check out the fried chicken at the Tousey House right around the corner from the B and B. Another delight!
