Everything about this B n B is top notch. The breakfast menu is wonderful, including creme brûlée french toast and other selections that you just don't find elsewhere. The breakfast reminded me of fine New Orleans dining. We stayed in the cabin which had a perfect combination of history and modern luxury. Bob and Nancy are easy to like hosts who obviously pay attention to the details. We highly recommend a multiple night stay so you can try all the selections on the breakfast menu and unwind in the room that you choose. Go for it!

The owners are friendly, courteous, accommodating and great cooks! We really like the antiquity of the bed and breakfast, and look forward to each and every time we can stay there.

We come to Burlington's Willis and Graves in annually. The retreat is serene and though close to amenities you feel tucked away in a little quaint but of history. Nancy, Bob and staff are perfect hosts. I never vear from the gingerbread pancakes and love the granola. We always look forward to our return trip.

This is the third year in a row that I have stayed in the Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast. This year surpassed the last two in that I had a gorgeous sitting room of beautiful antiques, a warming fireplace and a room stocked with interesting books. My bed was divine, and as always the hosts are charming and friendly. The breakfast is wonderful with many choices. I can't wait another year to come back, so I have booked again in 6 months. One of my all time favorite bed and breakfast experiences ever!

This little gem of a Bed & Breakfast has spoiled us and it is nearly impossible to find a more hospitable host and hostess such as Bob & Nancy. Every time we stay here we find a sanctuary where all our troubles just melt away. The luxury of the bed, the spa bath, and the delicious food all add up to a serene rest at the best B & B we have discovered.

Our second stay in the Williams Rouse Suite at Willis Graves. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at this amazing B&B. The innkeepers, Nancy & Bob, are truly welcoming, helpful, warm and interesting. The gourmet breakfast Nancy creates is delicious. My personal favorite, her Creme Brulee French Toast and homemade granola with fresh seasonal fruit. Willis Graves has set the bar high for our B&B expectations. We have not found their equal in comfort, ambience, breakfast, location and amenities for the price. Our suite was heavenly, from our private living room and deck to the indulgent double whirlpool & steam shower. The decor is beautiful and interesting. The 1850's cabin our suite is in has been beautifully restored and renovated. The best of both worlds. Nancy recommended a few local restaurants and spa. We loved our couples massage at Sableux, fabulous. The Tousey House Tavern and Bouquet Restaurant were unique, quaint with superior service and delectable food. The Willis Graves B&B definitely remains a favorite of ours for romantic retreats. Can't wait to go back!
5 on September 15, 2014
We truly enjoyed our stay at Willis Graves. It was a wonderful place to get away for a few days and not be all that far from home. The owners and staff were exceptional, and you could easily see they truly enjoy what they do. The food is FANTASTIC!!! Thank you for a relaxing weekend we really needed!
5 on September 10, 2014
We really enjoyed even a one night stay at the Willis Graves house. The room was beyond our expectations, and the breakfast was fantastic! Definitely will go back and try to stay longer.
5 on September 07, 2014
We had a delightful weekend at this B&B. Beautiful, quiet place full of charm. It had all the comforts we needed and a breakfast second to none. Our hosts went above and beyond in helping us find civil war sites to explore. Hope to stay there again some day!
5 on August 26, 2014
Superlatives in all ways describe the Willis Graves B&B. Owners are terrific folks, food is absolutely top-notch, rooms and facilities are as clean and spotless as any we have ever seen. We would recommend this to anyone anytime!
5 on August 21, 2014
We stayed one night in the suite of the cabin and couldn't have been more comfortable. Nancy was so welcoming, and every touch was thought of - from the steam shower to the in-room espresso machine. We had a wonderful dinner around the corner at Tousey House Tavern, and enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Such a lovely get-away! Couldn't have dreamed up a more beautiful place to escape to! High end amenities, luxurious linens & bathrobes, steam shower & whirlpool tub, even homemade cookies before bed! Not to mention a breakfast made from heaven! This inn provides all the comforts of home and the elegance of a five star hotel! Our second stay here, and we'll be sure to be back again!
4.8 on August 01, 2014
My husband and I came here for a little mini-vacation. We stayed in the log cabin, which I heartily recommend. The room was beautiful: rustic and charming while still having all the modern conveniences you might want. The whirlpool was fantastic. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast we were served was absolutely delicious. I'm still having dreams about that creme brulee french toast. Overall the stay was absolutely fantastic. My only real gripe was that we were only left one and a half rolls of toilet paper for our entire stay, and running out at the end of the last day was not super fun. Oh, also the Tousey House Inn was given a glowing review by the staff, but when we went we were very disappointed: mediocre food at sky-high prices. So to sum up: Awesome inn. Order the creme brulee french toast. Skip the Tousey House. The cabin rooms are extra-special if you want some privacy.
5 on July 28, 2014
My wife and I spent three wonderful nights and days at the Willis Graves B & B. Nancy, Bob, Margaret, and Mary were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were so delicious and if anyone tells you that "real men don't eat quiche," tell them that "real men eat whatever they want, especially if it tastes good!" The breakfast pie was good and filling. The ginger bread pancakes were tasty too. The back porch was a place of quiet solitude to sit, drink coffee and do some reading. We were there to visit the Creation Museum in Petersburg. Nancy told us how to get there on the back road and we saw the beautiful Kentucky scenery instead of the highway. If we ever have a reason to be back in that area, we would gladly return to Willis Graves B & B. Ron and Bren A.
5 on July 24, 2014
My wife and I and another couple stayed at Willis Graves in Burlington recently. We have not stayed in many B&B's, but this one made a convert of me. It was fabulous. We rented the two suite cabin. The amenities were top flight - very comfortable bed, steam shower, whirlpool bath, etc. Breakfast was to die for! The only problem was that we could not decide what to order. Everything was great. Our hosts were hospitable to the max. We would definitely stay here again.
5 on July 18, 2014
Love Nancy and Bob. My Mom and I have been coming here for 15 years and we love it!!! I highly recommend this B&B to anyone traveling for fun or business.
5 on July 18, 2014
The cabin rooms are the cleanest and most beautiful rooms we have ever stayed in. We stay at B&B's several times per year and this is the best. Nancy and Bob are great and the breakfast is excellent!!. The Tousey House is very close for dining and the food is great!!
5 on July 02, 2014
My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night on a spontaneous mini vacation. I loved the place before I even got there, based on the website. Nancy was so sweet and made sure we were constantly satisfied and happy. Our room was very clean and I didn't even really worry about bed bugs or other issues. I felt more like I was part of a family rather than just a room. I definitely recommend this place! I wish we could have stayed longer!

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this inn for an anniversary and we have been beyond pleased both times. We very much enjoy the rustic appearance of the William Rouse Retreat in the historic log cabin but having all of the modern amenities such as the steam shower, chromatherapy whirlpool tub etc. The cookies are fantastic, breakfast is fantastic and the Retreat is hard to leave once we become ensconced. I haven't stayed in the main house and probably won't as I love the cabin so much but we intend to spend more kid-free overnights here and would recommend the inn to anyone. I only knocked back the star rating on value because according to the key above three stars means it met my expectations, which in this case for my financial situation it's a bit of a splurge but I felt pampered commensurate to my outlay. I have no qualm about the price of my stay, but I tend to be a budget traveler so I am used to hotels and in general not receiving the service or amenities offered by Nancy and Bob at their wonderful inn.
5 on June 25, 2014
We love this treasure of a B & B in Kentucky. Nancy is charming and delightful and she and Bob have created a beautifully decorated and comfortable place. The antiques are artfully arranged and reflect the local history of the area. It's great to have a choice at breakfast and the food is delicious.
5 on June 25, 2014
This was our second time to visit this B&B and it was even better than our first visit. Our room was large, well furnished, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast menu had a good selection of items and. even with my food allergies, I was able to have several choices from which to select. The portions were large, served hot, and were delicious! We will definitely return for a 3rd visit at some point.
5 on June 23, 2014
My husband and I just needed a little get away. This was within an hour from home, close to a wide variety of things to do, and offered a great relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast both mornings was wonderful. We had a wonderful time and plan on going back the next time we need a break from daily life.
5 on June 16, 2014
If you need a peaceful place to relax and be pampered Willis Graves B and B is that bit of heaven. The entire place is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The amenities are so extensive. Books to read, DVDs to watch, luxurious toiletries, plush robes, beautiful gardens, relaxing spaces in which to sit are just a few of the many touches provided to make your stay heavenly. The beds and bedding are lush and so comfortable. The breakfast is beyond delicious and generously served. Guests can chose from a varied menu and the meal is cooked to order and is served on delightful china with white linens in a charming breakfast room. Finally the hosts, Bob and Nancy, make you feel so welcomed and are eager to make your stay just a bit like heaven. It is the best B and B we have ever experienced.

Over the years my husband and I have stayed here several times and we are always impressed by the excellence of the service and cleanliness at Willis Graves. There's a great mix of antiques with all the modern amenities like steam shower and espresso machine. We spend hours relaxing on the beautiful covered back porch. The staff are excellent and the culinary experience is not to be missed! We hope to stay here many more times in the years to come! It's become kind of a home away from home!

In May, 2014, while on vacation, my husband and I spent two nights at the Burlington's Willis Graves B&B Inn. We stayed in the Mr. & Mrs. Graves Suite. It was absolutely gorgeous. The first day was rainy and cold, so in the evening, we took advantage of the lovely gas fireplace in the living room to get warm & cozy. Nancy had made some fresh chocolate chip cookies for us. When we asked for her suggestion for dinner, she said the Towsey House, less than a mile away in town, was always good. She volunteered to make reservations for us, if we'd like, so we took her up on it and had a lovely dinner. Nancy provides a microwave & refrigerator in each suite, plush robes, wonderful soaps & lotions and the bathroom has a steam(or regular) shower as well as a wonderful soaking, bubbling bath tub. The brealfasts were extraordinary. Guests could choose when to arrive at the breakfast room between 8 and 9:30 a.m. White linens and Johnson Bros. stoneware and fresh flowers dressed the tables. We were each able to select from a menu presented to us of four breakfast entrees. My husband chose Baked Ham & Eggs Crisp the first morning and Creme Brulee French toast the second and enjoyed them both. I selected Gingerbread Pancakes both mornings because they were so good and were easy for me, as a Type 1 diabetic, to count the carbs to determine my insulin needs. Nancy happily provided me with sugarfree syrup, too. We liked this place so much, we both wanted to stay another night! However, we had reservations & committments ahead on the wind-up of our 3 week road trip. My husband and I have stayed at well over 100 b&b s in our 37 years of marriage. Burlington's Willis Graves is tied with two others for first place in our experiences. This is a quiet, restful, beautiful, accommodating place. Be sure to give it a try!!
5 on May 30, 2014
We have been coming here 2 or 3 times a year for the past several years and will continue to do so. It is so comfortable, super clean and has an ambiance that promotes relaxation. We just love the Willis Graves suite with the separate sitting room with comfortable furniture and gas fireplace (especially in the winter months). The breakfast is A+++. The owners have become friends. Nancy and Bob and so friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. We love having our wine on the covered patio and the owners often join us for some spirited conversations. Overall, we can't give this B & B a 10. We would have to assign an "11." It is that good! Dick & Judy

My wife and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary this past weekend at the Willis Graves B&B in Burlington KY. We have 4 children, all 9 yrs old and under, and we 'rarely,' if ever, get an opportunity to truly relax! Staying at this B&B was the first time in a long time we really relaxed and got to unwind. We would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a truly valuable and memorable experience! Every detail, from the incredible breakfast our room, was outstanding, clean, comfortable, and beautiful! 10 stars for this place!! We will definitely be returning!!

This was our first visit to Kentucky & we only stayed one night at Willis Graves, but felt very much at home. Nancy is a lovely hostess who made us felt welcomed & relaxed. She recommended a fantastic restaurant nearby which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
5 on April 11, 2014
The suite was beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic. My favorite breakfast is now the Creme Brulee stuffed French Toast. Can't wait to go back.
5 on April 08, 2014
This place is amazing! We were welcomed at the door and given the tour of our lodging for the night. There were fresh cookies available, and the espresso machine was a nice touch. We stayed on the 2nd floor of the cabin and enjoyed the VERY comfortable queen-sized bed and the spacious bathroom. The owners are very kind, and Nancy is a WONDERFUL cook! My wife tried the Crème brûlée French toast and highly recommends it. She ordered it on both mornings of our trip, she liked it so much! I can heartily recommend the orange marmalade French toast as well as the peach-mango French toast that was not on the menu but happened to be available. The price is also very reasonable for the accommodations, especially for the quality of the room, furnishings, and food! The only complaint is that it is too far away from our home in Georgia to visit more often! Thanks to Nancy and Bob for a wonderful stay!
5 on April 07, 2014
We could not have asked for a better experience. We stayed in the log cabin and it was so beautiful. There are many bonuses to this place...steam shower, jetted tub, espresso machine, fridge, etc! The customer service is awesome. Bob and Nancy make you feel like you have known them forever!
5 on March 26, 2014
Room was very quiet, remote, clean, wonderfully decorated with great amenities. Food was fantastic with lots of flexibility to order whatever you'd like. I would highly recommend Willis & Graves to anyone. I know my wife and I will be back.
5 on March 24, 2014
I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this B&B. Nancy was so sweet and accommodating to my husband and I along with our children. We stayed in the Graves Room which was very roomy, clean and cozy. Nancy's breakfasts were delicious along with the cookies she baked daily and put in our room. The inn is in the historic part of the city, which was so nice for us. Being from South Florida, we don't get to see too much countryside and this was such a treat for us. This was the first time my children were in a B&B and don't want to ever go back to a hotel! Thanks again Nancy for such a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Just completed a quick one night stay in honor of our wedding anniversary and could not have been more pleased. The owners and staff were wonderful and made us feel at home right away. We stayed in the William Rouse Suite, which was the perfect blend of historical 1850s cabin, and modern luxury. Breakfast was a treat featuring an amazing culinary experience topped off with lively conversation with staff and other guests. I give Willis Graves B&B my highest recommendation.

Fantastic food, relaxing environment and exceptional service are just a few phrases to describe our time at Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast. We arrived several hours late...driving through a snow storm and Nancy was waiting up for us. She never made us feel we were putting her out, but was the standard for hospitality. We have been to many B&Bs, but this is head and shoulders above the rest. It hasn't even been a week since we left and we are planning our next stay there...and the anticipation is great!

My husband and I stayed two nights in the William Rouse suite. It was better than we had hoped. We were given a brief, but informative tour of the suite when we checked in (how to use the fireplace, whirlpool tub, steam shower, espresso machine, etc.). Everything was perfectly clean. The bed/bedding was very comfortable and the room itself is very cozy. All the little extras are icing on an already great cake. Robes, espresso, fresh baked cookies waiting for you, wonderful toiletries. Even the hand soap felt indulgent. They also have a large selection of movies to borrow from in the main house. Breakfast begins with fresh fruit and a yummy homemade granola and all of the breakfast options we had were delicious. For such nice accommodations you may expect stuffy owners, but Bob and Nancy are great. We felt really comfortable at breakfast and just chatting with them. It's just the right mix of high end and casual comfort!

We also benefited from some of the historical tourists attractions recommended on the website.

After having all five grandchildren spend the night, I desperately needed to reward myself with a treat and what better way than to go to Willis Graves B&B. I took a book, brought dinner with me, put on comfy pajamas and settled in to one of the cleanest and welcoming rooms I have ever been in. Of course, my very favorite reason for coming is the oh so good breakfast. You can have a little of everything and enjoy it all. What a relaxing time I always have. Thanks Nancy.

This B & B was such a great find! I surprised my husband with a couple of nights away for his birthday in Sept. 2013 at Wills Graves B & B. Nancy and Bob made us feel so welcome. The Log Cabin Suite where we stayed was amazing. From a scrumptious breakfast to a library of DVDs from which we could choose to watch a movie, ours stay was fantastic. Nancy's recommendations for dinner at Tousey House Tavern was great. We enjoyed a wonderful meal on the deck on a cool fall evening. For those who do not like cigarette smoke, this is the place to stay. The entire property is non-smoking. That was a huge plus. We'll definitely stay at Willis Graves Inn again.

Nancy is a fantastic hostess. The rooms (we got to see one besides the one we stayed in) are super clean; the espresso machine in each room as absolute favorite luxury for me; comfortable, great water pressure, beautiful grounds, charming dining area. My husband and I loved our stay and are looking forward to a return visit. We have already recommended this to our son and his wife.

I surprised my wife with an overnight stay at the Willis Graves B&B for our 28th anniversary. The hospitality was great, the accommodations were charming and the breakfast was culinary perfection. We enjoyed every minute, including the county fair that was going on next door!
3.2 on August 21, 2013
Room was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good with lots of variety. I would recommend that visitors plan on spending at least an hour at breakfast as staff is not going to set any land speed records. Very friendly proprietors.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts concerning breakfast. Not sure if the hour was based on arrival time in the dining room or when the breakfast was ordered. When a guest arrives in the dining room it should only take a few moments for someone to greet the guest with a question about coffee, tea or something else to drink. After that we mention the first course of fresh fruit and homemade granola and ask them if they would like juice. The fruit is delivered very quickly because it is ready to go. The menu is on the table when guests are seated so there is plenty of time to review the menu. We offer a full menu, not just one thing every morning. Most of the time our guests come in at different times between 8 and 10 am, it’s very nice to have that option at a bed and breakfast. If everyone comes into the dining room at once things get a little busy but we can still handle 10 guests at once if we need to. Once we take an order we tell the guest that it will take about 15 to 20 minutes. Depending on what is ordered, it could take less time. Considering that we offer a full menu and not just one thing, it does take longer. We make everything fresh. If someone is in a hurry they usually tell us, we ask how much time they have, we tell them what takes the least amount of time. Not every morning in the kitchen goes without a problem but most of the time we are pretty collected in the kitchen. It could be that we were off a little that day. My guess is that on the average our guests spend 45 minutes in the dining room, many of our guests love the whole dining room situation and they are in no hurry to leave. We have been in business for almost 20 years. In all of those years we regularly learn how to improve what we do. We will make a concerted effort to be aware of timing at breakfast. Once again, thanks for the comments. Most Sincerely, Nancy Swartzel Owner /Innkeeper

Charming! In a word our stay to Willis Grave's B&B was charming. The service was prompt and friendly, they gave us every attention. The inn is decorated in an eclectic mixture of antiques and and modern comfort. We stayed in the Willis Graves suit which has a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub for two. We enjoyed our relaxing anniversary get away. The only problem was it was too short of a stay, but we will return to visit again.
5 on August 15, 2013
This B&B is one of our favorite places to go to unwind and relax. Everything is always so clean and well kept, and the owners Bob and Nancy are super nice and very accommodating. The breakfast is always great as well! Will come stay here again soon!

We stayed at Burlington's Willis Graves on our way to a reunion in KY, coming from northern Michigan. We love B&Bs, and this was, by far, the nicest we've ever visited. Everything surpassed what we could have wanted and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay...our only regret was we could not stay longer. Great hosts, great food and a beautiful spot in a sleepy little town with a lot more going on that you see at first glance! A must stay spot - try to plan two nights and do some local sightseeing. My wife and I had a wonderful time staying there. The suite was wonderful, from the cookies on the bed to the wine glasses, very romantic. The breakfast outstanding, the staff and service was first class. We both highly recommend Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast Inn.

A perfect retreat to relax. The attention to details is evident in the beautiful rooms, furnishings, and the delicious breakfast. A wonderful experience and I highly recommend this B&B.
5 on July 25, 2013
I wish I could give this B&B more stars. I went on a two day stay to go have some alone time without the kids and husband. It was absolutely amazing! I chose to stay in the smaller Catharine's room because it was just me and the perfect size. The bed was so comfortable and the linens were luxurious. I absolutely loved the bath tub. In the two nights I stayed there, I took three baths. It was the best bath I have ever had. Nancy and Bob were the nicest people you could ever meet. I absolutely loved talking to Nancy and she was such a gracious accommodating host. She reminds me of Diane Keaton in the movie, Something's Gotta Give. She got me laughing and smiling the whole time I stayed there. She truly makes you feel like a long time friend coming back to visit. The décor in this place is put together so well. There is not a single thing out of place. The breakfast...I do not even need to cover. They are so mouth watering and delicious. Check the other reviews. The collection of dvds are impressive! The cookies left on the bed pillow are so yummy, you will crave for more. I want to come back to place. I will come back to this place.

Nice historic place, very well maintained, great staff and a memorable experience. Would stay there again if travels take me to this area and would certainly recommend it to others.

Everything about this property was great. The owners were away celebrating the arrival of a new grandchild, but the young hostesses were warm and welcoming. Have stayed at many inns and b&bs over the years and this was definitely one of the nicest!

My husband and I definitely enjoyed our visit. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful and had a relaxing atmosphere about it. We even timed our stay right because we had a fantastic view of the IHM Festival fireworks show that night. This B&B is definitely going to have us back there again every year.
4.8 on July 15, 2013
The service was exceptional, even tho the owners were out of town. We were made to feel as if we were family. The breakfast and service are beyond reproach, and the setting is fabulous. Definitely will stay again when in the area.

Our stay at Burlington Willis Graves was great. It was our 13th anniversary. The room was cozy. We relaxed, and rested well following a good dinner at the Tousey House. Breakfast at the B&B was wonderful. I had the gingerbread pancakes and my wife had French toast. Simply awesome.

Everything about this Bed & Breakfast is amazing! It all starts with a warm greeting by the hosts, Nancy and Bob, fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies in the room each day, luxurious linens and pillows, robes, the two person whirlpool tub, beauty of the restored antiques everywhere, well kept property and the list goes on. The first class breakfast is second to none! The French toast with fruit filling is better than I could have imagined, the fruit, juice, coffee was the finest! If you''re looking for a bed and breakfast in the Cincinnati area, this is the place to stay!
4.4 on June 22, 2013
We stayed in the log cabin in the William Rouse Suite which was so comfortable and VERY tastefully decorated. The bathroom was like a spa and the suite included all the amenities you could want. It was rustic elegance! We were extremely pleased and now call this our favorite B&B!
4.8 on June 22, 2013
Excellent B&B, wonderful breakfast and friendly innkeepers. Altogether an enjoyable experience. Will return.
5 on June 13, 2013
The innkeeper, Nancy, is wonderful. We have stayed here twice and plan to stay a third fairly soon. The breakfasts are terrific. Dietary needs are accommodated. There is a pretty good restaurant (Tousey House) around the corner. We stayed in the second-floor room in a secondary building. Great bath...and very comfortable.
5 on June 13, 2013
We stayed in the William Rouse Retreat, This was our second visit and it was even better than we remembered. Everything is done to perfection and the breakfast is so amazing!

My wife and I stayed at Nancy and Bob's Willis Graves B&B at the end of May and could not have been happier with our experience. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts each morning were outstanding! I cannot recommend the Willis Graves B&B enough!
4.6 on June 05, 2013
Not being a typical fan of Kentucky and the general offerings the state has, I was skeptical. The Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast is clearly the exception. If you are in Kentucky for any reason, this is the place to stay. Charming rooms decorated to make you feel that you have been transported to early colonial times, with perfectly placed updates in appliances and bathroom amenities that make your stay very comfortable. The service is attentive from some of the friendliest people you'll meet, and the breakfast is delicious enough to bring even the heaviest sleepers from under their sheets. The Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast made the trip beautiful and definitely warrants a return.
5 on May 31, 2013
Great visit to the Willis Graves B&B in Burlington, KY. Room was great and the people fantastic. We'll definitely be staying there again in the future.
5 on May 21, 2013
Stayed one night and left wanting more! It felt like home. The owners were such gracious hosts. The suite was enormous. We had an antiques-filled living room and fireplace, bedroom and spa bathroom. The attention to details and luxury was much appreciated and enjoyed. The breakfast was scrumptious. We strolled the beautiful grounds and learned a bit of history of this historic place and surroundings. Can't wait to go back.

An unusual combination of style, charm, attention to detail in their hospitality, and excellence. This place is a standard -- an example of how to to provide a memorable and comfortable experience.
5 on May 14, 2013
My wife and I have stayed at many bed and breadfast inns in our travels... and this inn is definitely the best. It is at the top because of the quality of their accommodations, the kind hospitality of their service and delicious excellence of their food. Do not miss this experience!

The stay was relaxing and warm. Nancy was quite helpful for info about the area. Thank you!
3.8 on May 01, 2013
We enjoyed our stay. It was a fast drive to downtown Cincinnati (15 mins or so) but felt miles away from the city. I was surprised to see the B&B set close to a side road near downtown Burlington, KY but it didn't cause any issues and we didn't notice any traffic noise (even while in the main house). We stayed in the William Rouse Suite and it was set behind the main house and was peaceful and private. Nancy and Mary are warm and welcoming and I'm still dreaming of the Creme Brulee French Toast and Nancy's Breakfast Pie. Delicious! Also, we had a great dinner at the Tousey House located just a block or two from the B&B.

This was our second stay at the Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast. It was just as great as the first time, Nancy is the most welcoming and friendly. They bend over backwards to make it the best stay possible and the breakfast is the best!!! We have told everyone we know about the little cottage cabin and the breakfast. It is worth the trip to meet Nancy and the wonderful setting that is offered.

Husband and I were looking for a quick and relaxing getaway to have some conversation sans kids. Burlington's Willis Graves fit the bill. Nancy is amazing and her hospitality shows in the details. Although we stayed in one of the smaller rooms, we were still pampered with yummy cookies, an expresso machine and more. It was cozy and lovely. Right down the road is Idlewood Park, where you can hike and bike to your heart's delight. Around the corner is The Tousey House, a Kentucky-esque dining extravaganza. And, yes, it's perfectly acceptable to dine there every evening. We can't wait to return!
5 on April 08, 2013
As always, Nancy & her staff have wowed us with the overwhelming attention to detail that is standard here. Many B&B's have nice rooms & yummy food, but don't pay much attention to the details in between. This is where The Willis & Graves launches way ahead of the others. The rooms are luxuriant to the point that we really just want to stay in the room & enjoy it rather than go out & do anything. The breakfasts & service are always top notch. But don't discount all the small details in between. This is the best B&B. Plan ahead, or you may have trouble getting a room.
5 on April 07, 2013
This place is absolute heaven! Everything is perfection and comfort. Ambiance, decor, food, amenities and peaceful quiet. This is our second stay and we will be back. Sorry we couldn't stay longer. This is one of the best B and B's and we have been to many. Pick the cabin, you will not be disappointed. And don't forget to check out the fried chicken at the Tousey House right around the corner from the B and B. Another delight!
5 on April 03, 2013
We were in the cabin excellent accommadations, next time we will have to stay longer.
5 on March 31, 2013
We return to Willis-Graves as often as possible because it never disappoints. Nancy and Bob have set the bar so high that although we stay at B&B's often, none have compared to our experiences here. It is our "drop off the grid" place...and we look forward to each and every visit.
4.8 on March 23, 2013
Nancy is friendliness and service personified. Breakfast is outstanding without being overwhelming. We weren't going to watch a movie, but with 500 to choose from, we did so both nights. This place is neat, sensible, uncluttered, welcoming, and just plain nice.

From the lovely rooms to the personal service received, Burligrave was amazing! Would love to stay there again at some point.
5 on March 11, 2013

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend stay at the Willis Graves Inn - it was wonderful! Our room (Mr. & Mrs. Graves Suite) was spacious and comfortable, the service was friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. We are hoping to return soon.

My husband and I have made several visits to Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast. We are never disappointed! The Inn keepers do not let any detail go unnoticed! So clean, cozy and romantic!
5 on February 20, 2013
This was our first stay in a B&B and we weren't sure what to expect. Everything about this stay was amazing. We stayed in the William Rouse Suite and the accommodations were comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The amenities were perfect from the steam shower to the espresso machine to the super soft bathrobes. Nancy's freshly baked cookies delivered daily were a nice touch. Breakfasts were phenomenal! There isn't a single part of this trip that let us down except for the fact it wasn't long enough--but that was OUR fault. Next time we won't make that mistake!!
5 on February 19, 2013
We truly were delighted with this beautiful property and the delicious breakfast. Though we were only 2 hours from home, we felt like we were a world away. We are looking forward to our next visit to Burlingtons Willis Graves! Peter and Kathie Turke
5 on February 17, 2013
With a warm staff, a beautifully appointed room, and spectacular marmalade cream cheese French toast, my stay at Burlington Willis far exceeded a comparably priced hotel. I'll certainly be back next time I'm in Cincinnati for business.

Unexpectedly amazing food and elegant cozy rooms!
4.4 on February 15, 2013
This was our first trip to a bed and breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Graves suite. The fireplace was great for setting the mood and taking the winter chill out of the room. The whirlpool and steam shower were nice to have also. We will definitely return there in the future. We are northern Kentucky residents, so the location is ideal. It is a great place to get away but still be close to home.
5 on February 12, 2013
I decided to stay at Willis Graves because of all the great reviews. I can count the times that service has exceded my expectations on one hand. I can't say enough about our experiance at Willis Graves. For a 170 year old home it was warm and cozy on a cold and windy night. At some point while wathcing a movie in bed I realized that I was not at home. Which seemed shocking because that was the way we felt. The breakfast was by far the best food I have ever had. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer due to a tight travel schedule. Even though it is 5 hrs from home, my wife insists that we must come back. We will I'm sure. Thanks Nancy for everything.

Could not have been a better place for our wedding. So nice we plan to return for our anniversary.
5 on December 19, 2012
This was our first time back since our initial (incredible) stay at Willis Graves back in January. Last time we were in the cabin suite, but this time we opted for the cabin's upstairs room. Although a bit smaller, it actually seemed to enhance the experience as it seemed a bit "cozier". We will probably go with this room in the future. The interactions with the owners and staff were incredible and of course, the breakfast was amazing. We shall return!
5 on December 12, 2012
We just stayed here for the third time and it doesn't disappoint time and time again. We can't wait to come back.
5 on December 10, 2012
I must have read 200 reviews of Burlington's Willis Graves before booking. As outstanding as the reviews were it doesn't do it justice to have experienced it. Everything about this place was wonderful down to the cat with one paw. Nancy made us feel right at home. Thanks for a wonderful time. We hope to do it again soon.
5 on December 09, 2012
It's perfect, it's always perfect...the cabin is perfect. Nancy's gingerbread pancakes and orange marmalade french toast are to die for. Did I mention that it's perfect?

This was our fourth or fifth stay at this B&B, and we just keep coming back whenever we get the opportunity. It's a great weekend getaway. The innkeepers are super accommodating, the rooms are cozy, quiet and romantic, and the food is out of this world. You MUST have the gingerbread pancakes.

Willis Graves is now at the top of my favorite B&B list. We didn't want to leave after our 2 night stay. Nancy made us feel like part of her family and she is the perfect host and chef. The best breakfasts we've had. She shared some recipes, too. We like the location which is close to Cincinnati and in a lovely area in KY. We can't wait to return to Willis Graves.

My wife and I stay at B&B's about 6 times per year and this was the best by far. Although we have stayed in some more scenic areas we have never had a room this nice and this clean. The real authentic log cabin combines old world charm and decor with modern and comfortable amenities. It is very very nice!!

We have come here annually for the past 5 years. In the past we had always stayed in the cabin. This year we stayed in the Willis Graves Suite and it was fabulous. Now we have a tough decision to make before our next visit. What we know is you can't go wrong it is a great place to stay, no matter where you book your stay.
5 on September 16, 2012
The bed and breakfast was very inviting. We stayed in the cabin and it is so quiet and private. Loved having a second room in which to relax. Breakfast is served anytime the guest wishes between certain hours and there is a menu from which to choose your items. Nancy is extremely helpful in finding interesting things in the area. The location is great for anything a person would want to do in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky.

My husband and I recantly spent a night at Burlington's Willis Graves B&B. It was a wonderful restful stop at the end of a long road trip. the innkeeper greeted us before we even got to the door and made us feel at home immediately. We stayed in the Willis Graves Suite which is roomy, comfy, and very clean with a fantastic shower that we were most grateful for. Coffee was ready for us early the next morning with a very tasty and filling breakfast soon after. If our travels ever bring us back to this area we will definitly be staying here again.

We stayed in the room above the dining room., Caroline's room. Perhaps it had been awhile since someone had stayed in this room but it was rather musty. I had a hard time sleeping with my allergies. Other than that the room was small but bed was comfy. Food was excellent and Hosts were extremely friendly.
I was sorry to read this review and wondering where the musty smell was coming from. There is a small fireplace in the room that is not used and sometimes old fireplaces can smell like an old house, some people like the smell and some do not. If it was not the fireplace I would love to know what it was. I did some work on the windows in both the bedroom and the bathroom , painting was involved.Sometimes rooms do go unoccupied for a few days but when a room is booked we look for dust or in general look for anything out of place, any kind of smell would be at the top of the list. Most Sincerely, Nancy Swartzel

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at quite a few. Without a doubt they could write the book and outstanding service, cleanliness and value. The beds are the best and most comfortable we have experienced and the breakfast is great. I guess what impressed me most was the sheer elegance of the place and the hosts were so wonderful and down to earth. Treat yourself and stay here for sure.

This was our second stay. We have stayed in the suites previously but opted to stay in the retreat this time. Definitely hard to downsize after being in the suite. Will return again next year for our anniversary and splurge on the suite!

We'd never been to the Cincinnati area, and are glad we stayed here. Close to Cincinnati but a nice quiet area. Loved the rooms, wonderful breakfast, and the owners and staff were great/ helpful.

I had a wonderful time at Willis Graves. I am hopeful to return to experience a stay in the lovely little cabin separate from the home. The innkeepers are gracious hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home. But it truly is the pancakes that I can't get out of my head. If nothing else, they will ensure a return visit.
5 on July 21, 2012
Nancy & Bob have created an unbelievably detailed place in all categories. The main home renovation was not only done right, but decorated very nicely for the period architecture. The log cabin is simply the best of both worlds...old world character and high quality finishes, with modern comfort to boot! This is simply one of the best, and we would recommend this stay for anyone who appreciates the quality craftsmanship and excellent hospitality! Oh yes, and the food....excellent!

Great romantic feel, wonderful food, and super friendly service! You will leave relaxed, but wishing you would have booked your trip twice as long!

This was our second visit to this B+B and it only confirmed why we chose to come back a second time. Everything was just as good if not better than the first stay.

My wife and I stayed in the Mr. and Mrs. Graves Suite and it was gorgeous. Everything was clean and it was beautifully furnished. The breakfasts were incredible; absolutely 5-star cuisine! The greatest part of our stay, though, was the service. Nancy makes sure that you have everything you need and completely pampers you. We loved everything about it. It was the perfect weekend.

This was our 6th visit to WG ... passing throgh on a vacation trip. The service and ambiance have always been top notch ... we B&B often ... this one is our favorite!
4.4 on July 07, 2012
We loved staying at the Willis graves B&B. Loved the decor and cleanliness. Breakfast was delicious. I also really liked the modern spa tub and steam shower. You had the comfort of home but felt like you were back in the past. It was a wonderful retreat away from the kids.

Our recent stay at this B & B was great! This stay was a surprise gift for my husband. We were delighted with the cabin suite and all its great amenities. The staff and breakfasts were excellent! We will definitely recommend this B & B to our friends.......

Our experience was fantastic and would recommend this B & B to anyone Scott & Lisa
5 on June 21, 2012
Our room was a nice sized suite - a sitting room, a bedroom and a bath. Everything was neat, spotless and in good order. I never heard a sound from any of the other rooms, so either the other guests were quiet and/or the house is solid and well sound-proofed. The sitting room was comfortable with a nice TV and books placed around. The largest selection of DVD's I've seen in a residence were available. The bed was comfortable. Temperature control for our suite was in our suite. The shower and whirlpool were great. The owners and helpers were friendly. We choose what time we wanted breakfast and had choices of fruit and main dish. The creme brulee French toast and the breakfast pie were delicious. The grounds were well maintained. We did drive past it the first time because the sign is small. We have stayed at 20+ B&B over the years and this one is one of the best. We honestly can not think of anything to criticize.
5 on June 15, 2012
A really nice place to stay. Good value and really felt welcomed.
5 on June 13, 2012
What a great experience for our first stay at a B & B. The Willis Graves B & B was a great mix old and new. Old classic home with antiques complete with fully updated baths. The breakfasts were wonderful. Great hospitality and a great location in Northern Kentucky. Looking forward to a future visit.

We came for our anniversary, and had such a wonderful time. Our accomodations in the Willis Graves Suite (first floor level of the log cabin) could not have been more comfortable, clean, and luxerious. The Bathroom accomdations were especially enjoyable, with the double-size tub, and steam shower. The Breakfasts were everything that was anticipated from reviews we'd read, and we enjoyed dinners at the Tavern in town. Thanks for an outstanding retreat, Bob and Nancy!
5 on June 10, 2012
This was our second stay, and we absolutely loved it again! We look forward to a 3rd stay someday in the future and would without a doubt recommend it to anyone as a romantic getaway.

Arrived in the late afternoon to a hardworking Nancy in her garden. I immediately felt welcomed and at home. After a brief tour and getting my key I arrived in my room - Catherine's Room - just the right size for one and could easily work for two. The room was bright and airy and charming. The bath was amazing - very nicely appointed, clean and roomy. The homemade chocolate chip cookies on a plate on the bed were soooo good. I looked forward to them when I came back from my day trips. The breakfast Nancy served in her lovely dining room was out of this world. I was lucky to stay long enough to sample just about every combination. Enjoyed some relaxing time on the covered deck with some very good coffee and some very nice people staying at the B&B also. Hated to leave...but will be back in the fall for another wonderful stay. Very highly recommend this B&B.
5 on May 31, 2012
We loved our time. The inn keepers were delightful and the rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Our food was delicious and the homemade cookies left on the bed each evening was the icing on the cake. This was a perfect restful stay for my husband and I on our anniversary. Thank you so much!

We stayed in the William Rouse Log Cabin Suite. I loved the homey rustic atmosphere, but with luxurious amenities. Nancy is one of the best innkeepers we have ever met. She made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was absolutely delicious both mornings. Would definitely like to go back.
5 on May 28, 2012
Very pleasant surroundings.. Great selection of local reading material. Relaxing and as private as you want it to be. Hosts and staff very friendly and helpful. We've already recommended it to my son.

We love coming here. The inkeepers and staff are very nice and breakfast is always delicious. The bathrooms are what attracted us the first time and help keep us coming back. The steam shower and whirlpool tub are so relaxing. I wish the beds were softer. If the mattress wasnt so firm I would give he room a 5 star rating. Other than that we have no complaints!
5 on May 23, 2012
We found the rooms tastefully decorated with antiques, clean, and very comfortable. The food was divine. The Swartzels are friendly but not intrusive--the perfect hosts.

My wife and I like to go to BnB's quite a bit. In looking for a place for our anniversary, we landed on Burlingotn's. This place was great, from the BnB itself to the town it was located in. My wife and I absolutely loved the town. If I was to have one complaint, and this is more a preference then a complaint, is that I enjoy it when we are all at 1 big table and able to meet the other guests. If you like having a table to yourself then ignore this last statement :) The food was extraordinary and the inn keepers were a pleasure to talk to. We have already recommended this place to some of our friends.
4.6 on May 16, 2012
This was a perfect place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our room which was clean, cozy, and charming. The owners were lovely - very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed during our time there. Would definitely recommend this B&B.
5 on May 10, 2012
Our stay was met with every detail accounted for.
5 on May 08, 2012
Absolutely wonderful!!! Nancy is an excellent hostess who pays attention to every detail as well as her guests every need. I stayed in the small room above the dining area... very quaint and cozy... SO clean. Breakfast was above and beyond most B&Bs that I've stayed in. I'll be dreaming of my French toast left behind for months! The entire home is lovely beyond words.
5 on May 05, 2012
This Bed and Breakfast was FANTASTIC!!!! Perfect for our first night together as husband and wife. We woke up super early to the bird singing outside and had coffee on the porch. The breakfast was amazing, I have been telling all my friends they HAVE to go! I even dropped my earring down the vent in the bathroom and Bob went and fished it out. I will definitely be back and have already referred several couples to go there as well.
4.4 on May 01, 2012
We spent a night away from the kids and really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and well set up. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. The marmalade stuffed french toast was quite good, but the breakfast pie was a little runny. Overall, while the B&B was a little on the higher side, we definitely enjoyed staying there and will likely do so again in the future.
5 on April 29, 2012
My wife and I loved this place. The place was beautiful and the rates are good. The breakfasts were really good. The people are friendly. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

5 on April 21, 2012
Burlington's Willis Graves B&B is our absolute favorite place after visiting 20+ inns over the years. It just doesn't get any better than this! Nancy and Bob have created such a luxurious oasis - my husband says we are spoiled and nothing else compares after the pampering experiences we experience at their inn. We will be back!
5 on April 19, 2012
We stayed for three nights at the Willis Graves B&B, and then on a separate night about a week later. Our suites were located in the charming log cabin apart from the main house. Both times that we stayed we felt like we were "home." It was so comfortable and spacious with luxurious amenities. Our hosts, Nancy and Bob, could not have been any more hospitable. I felt that we left some good friends when we finally had to say goodbye! I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and hope to return sometime soon.
5 on April 15, 2012
Our experience at the Burlington's Willis Graves B&B definitely exceeded my expectations. The property is beautiful and well maintained, the hosts are friendly and well informed. But, it is not until you experience their breakfast that you are thankful that you stayed at a B&B. I am not a lover of breakfast foods, but this meal was deliciously heavenly! I will recommend this Inn to anyone and everyone! They truly deserve every "outstanding" rating that I gave them. My personal piece of advice....when you make your reservation, request the cabin on the 2nd floor!
4.8 on April 04, 2012
This was our second visit and enjoyed our stay very much again! Nancy and Bob are wonderful owners that make sure your stay is fabulous! I highly recommended staying here if you want to be close to the Cincinnati area. Very close and a great restaurant around the corner from the bed and breakfast.

This was our second stay at Willis Graves. We stayed in the Willis Graves Suite and were more than pleased. The fire place was perfect on rainy night... and we enjoyed the bathroom as well... Nancy and Margaret have exceptional service and the food is to die for. They allowed to mix and match the breakfast menu to our liking. They recommended a local dinner restaurant which was phenomenal as well. We plan to return very soon for another night!

My husband and I chose this B&B because it had everything we wanted: Fireplace, privacy, HUGE tub, seperate steam shower, private porch, and romance. It was our first time away from our baby in a year! This place exceeded our expectations by far - the owners were so sweet and accomodating and boy can they COOK! The breakfast was amazing! Next time we are in the area visiting family, we will be staying TWO nights, not just one. Thanks so much! J&A from Houston, TX

Everything from the room to breakfast to the hospitality was wonderful. We took advantage of having a massage therapist come to our room to give me and my husband massages. It was definitely the respite we needed. The only thing that could have made it better was if we could have stayed more than one night. We will definitely tell our friends and hopefully will get the chance to come back.

We stayed in the Willis Graves suite for a weekend birthday getaway. We got massages through Adrienne and she was perfect. Nancy made the most amazing cake that was left in our room to enjoy when we liked. It was exactly what you need for a short getaway!
4.6 on December 06, 2011
The William Rouse Retreat is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The room was cozy, the bed was very comfortable, the robes were soft, and the steam shower and big tub were awesome. The suite had all the charm and ambiance of a romantic cabin with all the comforts of a modern hotel room. Between decorations and the log walls, there were a million places for dust and spider webs, but the place was spotless. The food wasn't what you expect from a b&b, but it wasn't bad either.
5 on December 05, 2011
This was our second visit in 3 months staying in the cabin suite. Beautifully decorated, elegant but so inviting and comfortable. The double spa tub is pure decadence and the steam shower simply wonderful. Nancy and Margaret are such wonderful wonderful kind and lovely gentle ladies. The food is wonderful, cooked to perfection and they are so good at spoiling us. We will come back as many times as we can. Little Burlington is close to everything you could want - a quick drive to Cincinnati, concerts, steamboat dinners, the huge aquarium at Newport, horse races, beautiful Kentucky countryside and a wonderful night skyline on the Ohio River is just minutes away. I love this bed and breakfast, everything about it is perfect. Five stars from us.

We stayed in the log cabin suite. The room was very clean and comfortable. We did not use the downstairs living area and I'm guessing it doesn't get used very much. The Inn sits close to the road and is on a small piece of land. For some reason I pictured it to be on a large lot. Breakfast was very good and our dinner at Tousey House was excellent. We never saw the owners of the Inn but the caretakers who were there were very nice and accomodating.

I stayed just one night while traveling through the area. I was greeted warmly and given a choice of rooms (since they were not full; it was a nice touch). Proprietors were very friendly and helpful, and the room was pleasant - roomy and warm, and the bed extremely comfortable. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.
5 on November 28, 2011

Just surprised my wife for our 4th year Anniversary. We had a wonderful time, the service was great and friendly. Little more pricey than other B&B's around the area but it was well worth it. Breakfast was great! Only wish I could have had seconds. We stayed in the Willis Graves suite, the steam shower was amazing as was the 2 person spa tub. I would definitively stay again.
5 on November 09, 2011
Far exceeded our expectations .no sooner than getting back on the freeway home, we were making plans for our stay for next year. We would recommend this place to our friends but we don't want to compete with them when we are looking for dates open..ha

We made reservations only a week in advance and were able to book the upstair room of the cabin. What an excelent B&B. We have stayed at more than 20 different B&Bs over the years and Burlington's Willis Graves Inn is certainly one of the best. We especially loved the breakfast. The Inn keeper (Nancy) was very nice and helpful in finding local activities. The double tub was great. We'll be back again.

My husband and I stayed here after dropping off our son at college and becoming 'Empty Nesters'. The Inn is as quaint as promised and a collector's dream. The perfect place for the antique lover with an occasional outdoor antique market going on right down the road. Great and playful collections are tastefully displayed everywhere and keep your eyes wandering. Nancy provides a very welcoming atmosphere where you feel you can be as private or public as you wish. We stayed in Mr. and Mrs. Graves suite which is the perfect culmination of the old and the new with luxurious linens and a state of the art bathroom. We could choose to sit on a private porch or sit on the communal porch on the back of the house. We did both. I guess Nancy is a natural innkeeper. She is a vibrant, fun and outgoing person who makes you feel at home immediately. The women that help her were carefully chosen, I am sure. Breakfast was amaaazing. I am so looking forward to our next stay and try out the room in the cabin. We will be back!

We were only able to stay one eveining and had to leave early the next morning, but this is a wonderful place. Nancy was very accommodating to prepare an early breakfast. We consider B&Bs to be special lodging and have high expectations for them to be clean and nice and, well...special. Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast Inn fully met our high expectations. We would love to stay here again when we visit the Creation Museum.

We stopped at this b&b for one night on a trip between NC and IL. We will definitely make this b&b a regular stopping point on future trips. We stayed in Thomas' room. The room was very charming and romantic. The bed could not have been more comfortable and the linens were luxurious. The bathroom attached to this room, while not huge, was adequate, definitely high-end and very spa-like. The shower was amazing! The breakfast here is what you would expect from a nice b&b. What is unusual though is you have a menu with a few different selections to choose from. The hosts were very friendly and concerned about your comfort and enjoyment while there. I'm trying to come up with a reason to drive to IL sooner rather than later so I can stay there again.

Great Stay at the Willis Graves B & B! The inn keepers gave us great ideas for fun daytime activities (hint: don't miss the drive to Rabit Hash!). Breakfast sooo good! It's always such a treat to get to return to Willis Graves. The Innkeepers, the grounds, the accommodations, and the food are extraordinary. Everything about our stay was very confortable as the hosts were very friendlyand accomodating. The Willis Graves Suite contained a lot of period furniture which created a very nice atmosphere but was not particularly confortable in the living room. The bed was confortable and the two person whirlpool was a nice touch. We particularly liked the spacious back porch in the morning with coffee and the afternoon with a cocktail.

This was to be my second visit to Burlington's Willis Graves B&B, but my husband ended up in the hospital the day before our trip. He was ok, but couldn't travel, so I sent another couple in our place. Nancy took great care of them, as she did of me last summer. The home is beautiful; the rooms are wonderful and the food is great! We can't wait to return.

If you love B&B's you won't be disappointed with Burlington's Willis Graves accomidations. Everything is there that you need for a wonderful stay. They pamper you from the moment you get there with fresh chocolate chip cookies, a wonderful jacuzzi tub and luxurious room. If you also like antiques, this place will take your breath away and they are also located right beside the Burlington Fairgrounds that has antique shows one a month. The breakfast is out of this world with items you probably have not eaten before. I have stayed there the last three years on my anniversary, and it's been wonderful each time. I can't say enough wonderful things about this inn..... it's a must visit.

We celebrated our 49th anniversary at Willis Graves B&B. Even though we live close, we had heard so much about this B&B that we decided to give it a try. We were definitely not disappointed. We have stayed at B&B's throughout the U.S. and this was by far the best! We stayed in the log cabin. The acommodations were immaculate, the food was delicious and Nancy, Bob and Margaret were very hospitable and easy to talk to. We have reservations to go back next month and are taking another couple with us. We would highly recommend this B&B. Judy and Rich

We made plans to stay at Burlington's Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast Inn so that we could meet friends who were visiting the area from Arizona. This was the perfect choice for such a meeting. The facilities accommodated the opportunity to relax and visit with friends. Our room was a roomy suite that was most comfortable for a group and the porch was very comfortable. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the breakfasts were outstanding. The Tousey House restaurant offered a wonderful menu, great wine selections, a most comfortable atmosphere and value! We chose to have out lunch and dinner meals there. The surrounding parks are also very nice. The only downside is that the town of Burlington doesn't have much to offer.

Our stay was outstanding in every way. We stayed in the log cabin and it was such a delight that I hated to leave for home. We still dream about the breakfasts each morning with the Creme Brule french toast being our favorite. A great experience!

My wife and I found this B&B searching the internet and decided to try it out. We have never stayed at a B&B before, and this wont be our last time. We really enjoyed our stay; the room was great, and the food was great.

Wonderful bed and breakfast! Room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable, great night sleep! Nancy made us feel welcome from the phone reservation to her greeting at the door when we arrived. Breakfast was terrific and Margaret was so sweet and breakfast service was great! The home has been meticulously restored and a quick visit to peek at the outside cabin was amazing! Would highly recommend this inn and we are anxious to plan a trip to be able to visit again. Thank you Nancy, Bob and Margaret.

Staying at the Burlington Willis Graves B&B was one of the very best that we have stayed at. Nancy is the greatest as an Innkeeper! The food was exceptional and the outdoor patio was most relaxing. We would strongly recommend this B&B to others and plan to return ourselves.

Wow what a great way to spend a rainy weekend. We had a great time at this charming BB. They had some homemade cookies in our room when we arrived that were soooooo good! We had a nice relaxing jacuzzi/bath, then we cuddled in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine.

My husband and I stayed here on our way to Kentucky. We were impressed by Nancy's friendliness and loved the chocolate chips cookies that awaited us that evening. Breakfast was excellent. I only wish that we could have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful time at Willis Graves! The innkeepers and the people who work there are so friendly and helpful. My husband and I are only 24 and we were concerned that we might feel out of place, that was not the case at all though. Not only were the prices reasonable for a young couple wanting to enjoy some time together, but the innkeeps and the guests were very embracing. We were actually late getting out one day because we ended up staying in the dining room talking with other couples and Nancy for over an hour! Our favorite part of the night was sitting on the back patio playing board games, drinking coffee, eating some of Nancy's wonderful cookies, and talking with another guest of the B and B. We are planning on getting my parents a gift certificate so they can enjoy this place as well.

We had a wonderful time and felt very cared for. They've done a great job, and we will definitely be back.

The highlight of our stay was the breakfast that would rival anything you'd get in a four star hotel. The staff was very nice and made sure that all of our needs were being met. One of the nicest places we've ever stayed and we look forward to returning!

This bed and breakfast is clean, the breakfast is superb, and the hosts are very informative and accommodating. We will return sometime in the future.
5 on April 03, 2011
Nancy and Bob once again have set the bar so high that no other inn can compare with this one. It is the perfect quiet, clean, friendly, and relaxing getaway. It's cozy atmosphere is all you need although there are plenty of options if you want to keep busy. The Tousey House nearby is a perfect complement to the inn and always has a great variety on their menu. We have been viisting this gem for almost 10 years and each time there is something new and delightful. It is definitely our de-stress remedy.

First time ever staying in a B and B and Nancy and Bob made it a fantastic stay! The log cabin room that we had was dated with gorgeous antiques and the breakfast was beyond wonderful! Nancy was a gracious host recommending things for us to do in the area and places to eat dinner at as well. She is also a superb breakfast cook offering what ever we wanted as well as so delicious favorites!

We enjoyed our one night stay. The room was comfortable and had all the extras we could have needed plus some that we would not have though of. Breakfast was delicious and well balanced. It was terribly rainy while we were there and they even thought to leave an umbrella outside our door to get from the cabin to the main house. We will definitely stay there again if ever we are back in the area.

My husband and I spent our past weekend at the B&B and had a very enjoyable time. Our Inkeepers were very accommodating and such a pleasure to know. Breakfast was the meal they served and it was great!!! Our Innkeeper Nancy gave us several ideas for places to go and eat. Several quilt shops for those who are interested. They had for sale a book that listed alot of the B&B's in KY. and their recipes. I have already cooked the pork tenderloin and was great! We stayed in the cabin and it was so nice and quiet, clean and relaxing. I am sure anyone who would be interested in taking some time away from home, you would really love the Burlington's Willis Graves B&B. Kathy

I am not one to give a perfect review, but in this case, I must. We have stayed at Burlington's Willis Graves B&B twice in the past year. This is why we love it there and will continue to return... the innkeepers, the cabin room, the breakfast. Nancy & Bob are gracious hosts who make you feel at home right away, that makes a big difference when you're traveling. Stay in one of the 2 cabin rooms if you can. They are nice sized, private, and both rooms have a huge jetted 2-person tub and steam shower. Heaven. The bed is cozy and there's a fireplace in the lower room. It is the perfect setting for snuggling up with a book and the person you love. Nancy makes a gourmet breakfast to order that will leave you full and happy for most of the day, yummy ginger pancakes, cheesy eggs, fruit w/ homemade granola. This is a high-class B&B with care taken to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. Not far from Cincinnati, surrounding suburbian shopping, and Perfect North ski slopes, there's plenty to do nearby. Or... you can just stay in, order take out, and enjoy doing nothing at all. Perfect.

Went to Burlington Graves Willis for 1 night. The room was amazing and the bed oh so comfortable. The Innkeeper was wonderful and very friendly. I have stayed at B&B's all over the U.S. and Europe and have never had such a wonderful breakfast. The Creme Brulee french toast was to die for. Would recommend it to everyone and will definately return.

This was our second time visiting Willis Graves and once again, it was awesome! From the luxurious spa tub and steam shower to the high quality bed linens, this inn is a true gem! We could not have asked for a better breakfast or service from the inn keepers. We had such a fun a relaxing time that we hated to leave. We will certainly visit again!

Willis Graves has exceeded my expectations. We needed to get away. Just needed to relax and forget our worries even for just one night. Our get away started when Catherine welcomed us at the door and the aroma of homemade granola was an immediate invitation to what we wished for. We stayed in the William Rouse suite and I totally suggest you do the same. It is a room where you can just wind down and let everything do. The breakfast was scrumptious. Creme Brule French toast.....Yummy...

Our daughter gave us a night at Burlington's Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast Inn for Christmas. We got away to the Inn through the new snow in Kentucky. Such beautiful scenes there and on the way! Our suite was cozy with the fireplace and hot tub, and the 4-poster bed and decor made it feel like going back in time. Of course football on the tv and the oh-so-comfortable mattress brought us back. Breakfast was a super indulgence of fresh fruit, eggs and bacon and yummy french toast with marmalade filling. Even the coffee was rich and delicious. Can't wait to go back.
5 on January 11, 2011
Had a great family get-away and can't wait to go again. This B&B has spoiled us in that few others can match the value and overall experience.

Nancy's high standards are evident in every detail, from the ironed bed linens to the excellent morning coffee, to the impeccable beauty of the buildings' restorations. Elegant comfort provided with warmth and grace makes Burlington's Willis Graves a Kentucky jewel in the Queen City's crown. This is it, the real thing, the inn and innkeepers you didn't dare hope to find. We didn't want to leave.

My wife and I look forward to our repeat visits. The owners are so friendly and caring, the rooms are so cozy and exceptionally clean, and the numerous gourmet breakfast menu choices are amazing. This B & B has become our get-away weekend of choice.

The Inn was a great escape from the city! Some highlights of the area are Rabbit Hash General Store (about 12 miles away) and the Freedom Museum (in Cincinnatti) and the Tousey House Restaurant (right down the road).

Everyone with whom we came in contact here were absolutely delightful and made us feel like part of the family! My mom and I indulge ourselves with a yearly "girls' getaway" and stayed in the Mr. & Mrs. Graves Suite. Visiting in late fall, we so enjoyed the warmth from the sitting room's fireplace and the authentic antique decor. The sheer luxury of the triple-sheeted bed linens would have made it impossible to rise before noon had it not been for the lure of the best breakfasts we've ever had at a B & B! The menu was offered with our choice of several gourmet dishes each morning - more than one if we could not decide! Fresh juices & fruits, homemade granola, stuffed french toast, gingerbread & more pancakes, eggs, quiche, or omelets - any style - fresh eggs taste like none you buy in a grocery. Most surprising, each guest was served at his convenience during the breakfast hours - not at a set time! There were plenty of nearby dinner spots including the Tousey House -where we (& others) ate every night! There was just enough to do in the area to enjoy our stay, relaxed and refreshed, but not harried! Nancy was so much fun - I just can't say enough good things about staying at Willis Graves B & B - and my mom and I ALWAYS stay at B & B's for our trips! I'd love to go back to this one right now!! My one night stay at Willis Graves B&B was a last minute decision. I was not only pleasantly surprised, I was overwhelmed--and I am a picky person! Impeccable, tasteful, immaculate, delicious--these often overused superlatives really do apply to this B&B, and the welcome was warm and friendly. That this is an 1830 house is even more unbelievable, as the updating and comforts are definitely 21st century, with no loss of historical charm and character. A skillful blend of antiques and reproductions with modern, well-functioning conveniences make this a perfect retreat for the traveler. The inn is surrounded by countryside, is a five minute drive to the small town and an excellent restaurant--another restoration--(the Tousey House Tavern), and about a 30 minute drive from Cincinnati. Breakfast was delicious in a small, elegant dining room, and the proprietor was adept at fielding questions along with serving a meal. I hope to return sometime. It was all a very pleasant surprise and is now a wonderful memory.

We arrived to a beautiful home in the town of Burlington. The room was perfect and clean. We went into town for a great dinner, at the suggestion of the owner..and the prices were really good as well. We watched a movie from thier EXTENSIVE collection of DVD's and had a great sleep. We woke up to the smell of breakfast, and as my title says, I was so full after breakfast, I truly could not ask for more. We spent the day at The Creation Museum. It was AMAZING as well, and only about 10 min from the B & B. If you are looking for a restful nights sleep, and a great start to the day...PLEASE consider Willis Graves...we met some great people in the owners and guests!!
5 on October 14, 2010
We had a wonderful stay. The food was great, the room was beautiful, and the hospitality was the best. If you get a chance to stay at this B & B you won't regret it!! We love to travel to different Bed and Breakfasts and this one we will for sure come back to! Jason and Crystal

We spent the weekend for our anniversary. This is an amazing B&B with its 1830's charm. We have stayed at a number of B&B's, but this is the finest. The innkeeper Nancy and staff made us feel very much at home. The breakfasts were incredible! The inn has many nearby attractions, but yet a very quiet getaway. Loved the nearby Tousey House Tavern. We will definitely visit the Burlington Willis Graves inn again and not wait for a special event.

My wife and I made a second trip into Kentucky for a winter vacation. I had never stayed at a B and B before on our first vacation, so I had no expectations on our first stay. All I know is my last hotel stay was not so good. I was overwelmed by the comfort and the friendliness of the Inn. It was everything I loved about a place to stay, and was very much like home. Like the feeling you have when you are done for the day, and we looked forward to coming, "Home", to relax from the days activities. We will definitely go back when we plan our next vacation for the summer Cincinatti zoo and city visit. There was no stress in the time we stayed there. This is very unlike the vacation we spent in Michigan staying at a beach front hotel. It was awful. Loud, crowded, the bed was unfriendly, and the breakfast bar was so unorganized we left. We will NEVER stay at a hotel again after my experience at this B and B left with us. The stay, the rooms, the accomadations, the quiet, the privacy, the BEDS, Great sleep, and a wonderful breakfast to start the day. Did I say quiet!?!?! Thanks to Nancy and Bob and Margaret! Thank you from Mike and Pam Downam.

We have been to this Inn tweice and each time it is an amazing experience that keeps us coming back. We have stayed in the 2nd floor log cabin retreat and the warmth of the atmosphere, plus the quiet comfort provide a wonderful place to relax and recharge. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

My husband and I stayed only one night as a mini-break from our two small children. Everything was as beautiful as the pictures. The food was amazing and the people were incredibly friendly and helpful. The amenities were impressive as well. We were able to truly and deeply relax which was exactly what we needed. I only wish we could have stayed for a week!

We have stayed at this Inn several times and each time is nicer than the last. Nancy and Bob have a real gift for making you feel at home no matter which room or suite that you choose. Her breakfasts are incredible...we want to stay several days just to see what delightful surprise will await us at the table. We have not stayed at a hotel since visiting this Inn and though we have had wonderful experiences in other places, none compare to this experience. A totally relaxing, pampered, escape!

We needed a getaway to renew our relationship and celebrate 34 1/2 years of marriage. Willis Graves was homey, relaxing and totally enjoyable -- not too far from home for a few days away.

The Catharine Room at Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast charms one with a mix of 19th Century decor and 21st Century conveniences. For example, the bed's head and foot boards are cannonball design. The softness of the bed puts one to sleep in very little time. The bathroom has a jacuzzi, which is very relaxing after hiking down the nearby Idlewild bike and hiking trails. The breakfast offers a variety for one's health and pallete. If one desires fruit and granola, they have it. If one desires a scrumptious creme brule french toast, they have it. Willis Graves provides one with a good opportunity to rest and recouperate from the daily stresses of life.

We stayed in the Mr. and Mrs. Graves Suite 9.12.09. Bedroom was a bit small but felt just right. Had everything we needed. Bed and pillows were comfortable with very nice linens. Closet with a light held our suitcase along with the inn supplied robes, games, iron and ironing board. Bathroom is beautiful - there is a steam shower, large whirlpool and a sink with ample space to put makeup/brushes out on. The room was a bit on the cold side and we did not have access to the thermostat but the blankets kept you warm. The breakfast was phenomenal. We enjoyed the crème brulee French toast and the gingerbread pancakes. I’m picky and these were delicious. There were plenty of DVD movies on hand to pick something out we had not seen yet. I like to run in the mornings and there is a park with asphalt trails about ½ mile down the road that was very nice. Everything is beautifully maintained. Nancy is a wonderful hostess with a wealth of information and operates this home very professionally. She strikes me as a high energy individual who keeps everything maintained, organized and running right.

Short distance to tons of activities, but secluded enough to feel like your are getting away from it all. Every detail is thought of and you leave feeling pampered. My husband and I go here at least 3 times a year for time to relax and reconnect. The log cabin suites are the absolute best with their fireplaces, huge whirlpool tubs, steam showers, and lush linens. We love waking up and having coffee in bed and then going over to eat what I think is the best breakfast I ever had, the stuffed french toast. You really can't ask for anything more than what they offer.

I left this B & B saying to my wife that I would definitely write a review to recommend Willis & Graves; excellent in every way. Any time that we are near Cincy, this will be our stop-over. We just returned home from another fantastic stay at Willis Graves. It is my husband's favorite place for us to getaway since we are spoiled by the luxurious surroundings, gourmet breakfasts, fresh baked cookies, spotlessly clean rooms, and warm hospitality. The bathrooms (with air-jet tubs, beautiful tile and plush towels/robes) are the best we have experienced in any bed and breakfast (we've been to 12 so far) or hotel. It just doesn't get any better. Nancy is friendly and welcoming, she has masterfully created a welcome escape from our everyday lives. We are always sad to leave, it is like a mini-vacation every time we visit!

The Burlington Willis Graves B&B is a treasure to find. Stayed here on the way to the East Coast. Enjoyed everything so much that I stayed here again on the way home. Breakfast was the creme brulee french toast, sausage and eggs. So good! That alone is worth the 8 hour drive! Will be back. Lots of things to explore nearby. Clean beautifull inn.

I cannot say enough good things about this inn. Everything was wonderful. The room was top notch. The food was fantastic. We were thoroughly spoiled. I can't wait to come back soon.

From the moment of arrival we were treated in a most down-home yet personable manner. Nancy made every effort to make us feel welcome in her "home", sharing history of the area and the home, including a sneak peak at the restored cabin on the premises. It is the tickler that may get us back for another visit if possible! Breakfast was gourmet, and the steam shower and jacuzzi tub was our daughter's favorite item, besides the 3 enjoyable cats!

Was warm, comfortable, friendly, and inviting. Full of charm and character and the smell of homemade cookies. The bathroom was luxurious and fantasy-like.

We have stayed at the Inn three times and we have loved every minute. The rooms are well appointed and very beautifully decorated. The bathrooms are spacious and luxurious - something which is hard to find in most b&bs. To top it off, the breakfast is phenomenal. We are looking forward to visiting again!

My wife and I loved trying new B&B's until we found this place. Everything is perfect every time we go. The Willis Graves Suite and the Log Cabin rooms are our favorites. There is a charming local restaurant within a mile for a truely unique experience and Cincy is a short drive away for all types of entertainment. We still try new B&B's but this is a weekend for us each year.

We spent our 10th Anniversary in the new cabin and enjoyed everything about the stay. The innkeeper was very hospitable and the breakfast was wonderful. The room was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was so relaxing. I could have stayed longer.
