As you approach The Brownstone Inn, you'll recognize us by the beautiful peacock blue double entrance doors at the top of the stone steps. Then you'll step into the vestibule with its handcrafted opulence of my 19th century Victorian home. On the walls of the grand foyer and on up the stairway you'll see the elegant patented French wallpaper. It was applied in 1976 when my four-story house was renovated in honor of America's 200th bicentennial celebration. To your left, through the tall arched pocket doors is the parlor. There are couches, a reading lamp, an old upright player piano and daily newspapers, making this a convenient place for you to linger. To your right, through another pocket door, is the large Red Dining Room with its marble fireplace. This is where I'll serve you breakfast when the weather forbids eating on the deck. There are also fireplaces in the parlor, in the third-floor bridal suite and the fourth-floor large bedroom.

The Inn is available as a relaxing and inspiring bed and breakfast with 8 rooms including private baths. For your convenience and comfort, the inn has a large formal living room, dining room, kitchen and billiards room. There are 3 additional rooms with private baths at the historic lodge. Guests are served a continental breakfast each morning and are awakened with views of the rolling hills of our 50 acre farm.

The Emerald Necklace is one of Cleveland's historic treasures. Built in 1863 at the time of the Civil War. The Gilles family operated Fairview Parks first County General Store here. The Innkeeper - Gloria Cipri-Kemer, is the owner and proprietor. In keeping with the Gilles tradition of hospitality, we give a washboard to each newlywed couple that stays with us. Gloria was born in Denver Colorado and raised by a family known for their self taught artistry. She is naturally gifted in arts and design as seen in her hand-painted African violet pots she sells from the Inn. The restored building and gardens that surround the Inn reflect the talent of the innkeeper as well.
