The Woodward is beautiful in the Winter. Most rooms in all of The Woodward Inns have fireplaces.
From two of the guest rooms at The Woodward, you can hear the Fountain at night. What a relaxing way to drift into slumber!
The Caribbean Pool Garden at The Woodward features a heated lap pool (oopen all year), an adult Tiki Tree House with double chaise, firepits, beautiful landscaping and a trellis for poolside massage.
The Woodward is the cornerstone of The Woodward Inns and the grandest of the Inns.
The Chester Suite at The Woodward is premier for Get-aways and Honeymoons. I has a private roof-top hottub deck.
The Queen's Chamber at The Woodward is the largest of the get-away suites. It is the "penthouse" of The Woodward and also has an attached sun porch with a queen bed, sleeping a max of 4 guests in The Queen's Chamber.
The Chisholm at The Woodward features a magnificent half-canopy bed and original gas fireplace plus a two-person jetted slipper tub in the bedroom.
The Master at The Woodward is a popular room for its high bed carved in mahogany with a fireplace and an attached queen subporch.
The Woodward Max is the second largest of The Woodward Inns on Fillmore. Completed gutted and renovated, it features custom suites and custom bathrooms. The Max is also a great location for the smaller wedding or event.

When I pulled up to the Woodward, pictures did not do this place any justice. The details that Elizabeth kept towards the home's orginal build is beautiful. I found the Woodward online and planned a romatic overnight for my husband's birthday. We stayed in the Chisholm Room and it was just right for us. After I took my husband to a nice dinner, I had Elizabeth prepare fresh fruit, homemade cream and champange with sprinkled rose pedals all over our room. Then after we enjoyed this little treat I had it planned for us to have a couple's massage....my husband was in heaven!! Between both Elizabeth and myself, we pulled off an amazing evening my husband says he'll never forget. Elizabeth's hospitality in her own home was absolutely inviting and her conversations with us were liberating/enjoyable. This is a B & B I'll definately be recommending and will be planning a return soon.

We had family in town for our wedding and they were all able to stay together in one house, which was really nice. It was comfortable and homey and they loved being able to spend time on the front porch. And because they were in town for over a week, they were able to utilize the kitchen and other amenities, which ended up saving them a lot of money. Elizabeth was extremely friendly and accommodating. She helped me out of an enormous pickle when she was not obligated to do so. The experience was amazing and we would recommend the Woodward to anyone.

We were married at The Woodward in 2007, and it was the perfect venue for our celebration, a beautiful setting for those who may not want to be married in a church but still want someplace with a warm feeling and intimate setting. At that time there were only 3 homes making up "The Woodward Inns on Fillmore", which has since expanded to several homes, each with its own character and style. We recently went back for a weekend visit and stayed three nights in the Woodward Max. Elizabeth is a perfect hostess, both available and discreet, we felt very looked-after but always had our privacy. Breakfast was always wonderful. The Max was the BEST, we had it all to ourselves, which is the way I would prefer it always- the Tangerine Dream and the Chocolate Lovers could have some privacy concerns with bedroom noises transmittable between the rooms, but nothing to get too worked up over, really. The shower/tub combo in the Tangerine Dream is to die for for a water lover like myself- we spent most of our four day weekend wandering between the shower, tub, outdoor hot tub and the lap pool across the street- it was a wonderful relaxing weekend that we really needed- this is a special place not to be missed!

After a long day of travel I was greeted on the porch with a smile and hug. We enjoyed our stay immensely and we treated like royalty. The inn was very private and everything was perfect for the two of us. We even enjoyed a well stocked fridge and a private hot tub. Will definitely plan to come back in the future! Thanks very much for a wonderful experience we won't forget.

We stayed at the Woodward max Inn last week and it was simply amazing. What fascinated me the most is the beauty of the rooms and the time obviously invested for making this place probably the best bed&breakfast in KS. Great service and we felt welcome just like at home. I recommend it grandly.

We had an absolutely perfect wedding ceremony and recpetion at the Woodward and we had a FABULOUS honeymoon at the Woodward Max. We enjoyed the couple's massage, chocolate package, private pool package, picnic package, and the wonderful service and comfort that Elizabeth offered at the Woodward. The guest homes she has renovated on the block are absolutely wonderful as well!

I knew the first time I drove by the Woodward I wanted to see inside. Elizabeth Taylor graciously gave me a tour and shortly there after, I surprised my husband with a romantic getaway. The pool was heated and very secluded and our room was the perfect combination of elegance and peace. Our most recent visit included a scrumptious candlelit dinner followed (as always) by a fabulous dessert bar. Why drive to KC when you can have mini holiday in your own town? Worth every penny, we can't stop telling our friends about the Woodward. There's no place like home!

Elizabeth is a delight to work with. Extremely accommodating and went the extra mile upon every request. We rented the Woodward, Woodward Max, Woodward Executive and I believe the Garden Guesthouse. Three of the four were outstanding and the guesthouse rates only as average. We held one day of meetings in the Woodward Library - beautiful! We held a second day in the Max. Seating wasn't very comfortable for a long day of meetings, but fine for short spurts. Breakfast dishes were definitely interesting and fairly tasty. Fruit dishes were outstanding! This is a no-doubter. I'd definitely make another visit. Elizabeth is also a Polish Pottery dealer. Very nice stuff.
