Artemis Farm, located in picturesque Sorrento, Maine is open year round. We are accessible to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and Mt. Desert Island, the Schoodic peninsula and DownEast Maine. Unwind after a day of hiking, biking, kayaking, golfing, or just plain relaxing on the stone patio surrounded by perennial favorites. Enjoy a full breakfast of homemade baked goods, eggs from our own hens and local berries right on the property. On a knoll by the shores of Pleasant River and Pleasant Bay in Addison, Maine, rests our 110 acre working llama farm. Enjoy the rise and fall of the tides while gazing at the many shore birds and seals. Meander on our trails accompanied by a gentle llama, or explore the shoreline in quiet seclusion. Relax at day's end by the hearth while enjoying the sunset, or enjoy our deck and screened porch in the summertime. Away from the crowds, The Black Duck overlooks a spectacular harbor and open ocean beyond. Hike through the twelve acres and find hidden salt marshes and a tidal bay (great bird watching spot); curl up in front of a fireplace and read; find a sunny rock outcrop and watch the gulls or maybe a bald eagle soar overhead; pick blueberries; or just sit along the harbor and watch the lobster boats. The Inn is casually elegant with antiques and contemporary art. Each room is unique.

MICMAC FARM offers lodging to those looking for a place of seclusion and privacy far off the beaten path. The three GUESTHOUSES have spectacular views of the river and are ideal for families and travelers with pets. They are roomy with two double beds, and each guesthouse has its own fully equipped kitchenette so you can cook your lobsters in as an alternative to going out. The GARDNER HOUSE is a restored eighteenth century farmhouse and is the third oldest house in the Machias area. There is only one guestroom in the house, so your privacy is assured.
