Secrets Cabins are simple tiny timber low-priced cabins on Negril Beach. They are clean secure and comfortable with daily housekeeping service. There are only four and the showers and toilets are shared, but are always kept clean. BEAT ANY CREDIT CRUNCH with our rates: $23 for 4 persons to $33 for 2 and only $50 for single occupancy (all per person). Low deposit also. Our website specials page has incredible deals for some dates between May and early December - lower than the rates shown here. We have several "beat the crunch" features. Walk through the lovely garden with many birds, straight onto the famous beach. Each cabin has fresh flowers, local art, two beds, electric fan, light, table etc. Guests have free morning coffee served right on the beach. Free WiFi, beach benches, little gym, ping pong table and an invitation to Firefly's weekly Caribbean beach party are all included. You may have breakfast or lunch and drinks at our atmospheric yet tranquil beach bar. Book early with confidence; if you have to cancel a full refund up to 10 days before arrival date is guaranteed. Debbie's Vermont Pancakes
It is a pancake recipe from Debbie and Dave of Vermont who have been visiting Firefly (co-operator of breakfast bar with Secrets) each year from the 1980s. The original recipe calls for genuine Vermont Maple Syrup which is not available here. If any guest can bring a bottle (or two) we'll be glad to buy it from you.

From the Montego Bay or Lucea area, see below. From Negril centre take the beach road over the Negril River bridge and proceed 1.5 miles. We're on the left a little past CocoLaPalm on the same premises as Firefly Beach Cottages.

Directions to property:
We recommend Mr. Paul Jerry's taxi service - he has been carrying our guests for about 20 years. Alternatives are an airport taxi or tourist bus. The tourist bus is cheapest for a single person, but you may have to wait for other passengers to arrive. Ask the driver to take you to Firefly Beach Cottages, Secrets is on the same premises. If you are driving (not usually recommended) you have to drive through Montego Bay going west and follow signs for Lucea and Negril. 20 miles past Lucea on the outskirts of Negril you will see signs for Hedonism II hotel and Sandals. Proceed a further 2 miles, see the sign for Chances on the right, show down and you'll se our entrance. At night we have an illuminated sign, predominantly blue. Park just inside the entrance and walk down the path to the office.

The cabins were so tiny, it was hard to tell in the photos. I would not have paid $70 to stay there had I known how small it was. Checkout was at 11 am, which is early. i asked for a later checkout, and was refused.

I stayed at Secrets and as far as I am concerned there is nowhere in Negril (or anywhere I know of) where you will find greater value for money. Secrets cabins are clean and homely with all the basic needs. The bathrooms, though shared, are kept in a pristine condition. Secrets is located on beach front property in the middle of Negril's beautiful white sand beach - what more could you want? As I said, Value, Value, Value for money.
