I heard about Casa Venezuela from three friends who stayed there and from praising reviews here and on TripAdvisor.com. Everyone raved about how excellent it is. It's true. I stayed there for a week in December of 2009 with a friend. The owner George helped us to have a perfect vacation before and during our stay. He'll take care of you in every respect and then disappear so that you will have the terazas and livingroom to yourself. The house and our room was wonderful, perfectly clean, richly decorated, and filled with towels, soaps and such. The other quests were international and delightful but not intrusive. The house is centrally located and the best restuarants--both upscale and tacos--are just a short walk away. The breakfasts were suptuous and plentiful, such as quesadillas con flor de calabasa. I really can't think of one thing that I'd improve, except for our sadness whe George loaded our luggage and said, "Vaya con Dios, Amigos."

I am going back for my third stay and have already booked my fourth stay. George and company are most gracious. The house is gorgeous, the service impeccable. The location is close to downtown but in a great neighborhood with at least 3 restaurants within walking distance and diverse in cuisine. You couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay.

I have stayed at Casa Venezuela twice over the past year. The hosts, George and Gabriel, do everything to make a guest feel at home. The property is an oasis in a sometimes hectic, but exciting, city. The rooms are impeccable, the breakfasts (prepared by Francisco) are delicious. Casa Venezuela is very well located, too, near downtown, but in a very convenient spot, with mercados, restaurants nearby. It is a 5 minute walk to Av. Vallarta. George will help you find buses that will take you all over the city. I think you will be as pleased with your stay there as I have been. On my next trip to Guadalajara, there is no question where I'll stay!
