A Nature Lovers Paradise, offering nature adventures and all inclusive one day through week long art retreats. We are located in a country setting, ten minutes to Town and beaches. Private suites overlook the river and lush tropical Sierra Madres. We arrange Horseback riding, river play, hiking, biking, zip lines, whale watching, snorkeling, and more. Public transportation every 10 minutes to restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and beaches. Art workshops offered in painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking and more.

This art retreat was all I hoped for and more! The House of Wind and Water is the perfect setting to explore your art and where you want to go with it. Kathleen is an enthusiastic and inspirational guide as well as a wonderful artist. Andy is a charming host and cook and together they made me feel totally welcome and at home. The views from the rooms and studio are splendid and the weather was perfect. I would highly recommend this retreat for any artist who wants a comfortable place for contemplation, inspiration and fun!

Unique & special artist retreat just outside of Puerto Vallarta. Beautifully decorated, carefully thought out & comfortable rooms, charming and generous (American) hosts, yummy food. An authentic (roosters in the little town crowing in the morning) but safe (food, water etc) experience of rural Mexico in the Sierra Mountains, on the scenic river Cuale just minutes from the tourist mecca of Puerto Vallarta. Whether you are a beginner or advanced artist, host Kathleen is a wonderful artist and teacher who will give you insightful instruction or if you prefer, just a scenic studio from which to paint (with easels etc provided). The all-inclusive workshop is amazing value. All food, wine, accomodation & instruction as well as excursions for a really great price. Definitely worth it I thought!
