Las Cupulas, what a surprise!

“Behind the Walls” is a term used in the Lake Chapala area about finding unexpected, fabulous homes once you go behind the tall walls that surround the Hacienda style estates. This is what you will find at Las Cupulas from the moment you enter the main gate to when you open the door of your Suite. Everything has been brought up to date with high quality fixtures, bedding, and appliances. Even the paint has attention to details with hand painted motifs on the walls. I stayed in the Colibri Suite last Thursday evening. The bedding was divine and I had not had that nice a shower since I left the US. The very best was the full breakfast America cooked the next morning. I ate it sitting outside (January!) looking down the lawn to Lake Chapala to see white pelicans and a lone fisherman. Mike and America have lovingly restored this beautiful property and gone beyond it’s original beauty, truly the best of the old and new. A view of the lake in front of the property and the mountains behind! Room Tip: “This property is just a couple of miles West of the main village of Ajijic so you can enjoy the village to the East (a bit nosier to stay in town) or eat at the many restaurants on Lake Chapala, to the West. The largest suite, the Tortola has a full modern kitchen.” Sofia-Dallas, Texas

- Deposit Amount Required: A 50% deposit guarantees your reservation. PayPal accepted using your credit card or from your bank account. The balance of your account must be paid in US Dollars or equivalent Mexican pesos.
- Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your reservation we must receive notice no later than 21 days prior to your date of arrival. &amp;#13;&amp;#10;Cancellations given prior to 21 days will have the deposit refunded minus a $25 administrative fee. &amp;#13;&amp;#10;Should you cancel within 21 days, your deposit will be refunded only if we can re-book the suite/room so it does not result in a loss of business. &amp;#13;&amp;#10;Please note: Early departures will be charged per original reservation.

Exit from the airport and turn right on the main (Guadalajara - Chapala) road and follow the signs towards Chapala. As you come over the mountains keep an eye out for an exit to the right Libramiento (by-pass) to Ajijic. Follow the Libramiento to the traffic lights at the T-junction (WalMart) and turn right towards Ajijic. Continue on this road (Chapala - Jocotopec) for approx 5 miles passing through Ajijic.&#13;&#10;(directions will be sent with booking confirmation).
