    At the "Casa", we offer you an exclusive place of relaxation where you will enjoy a green park with century-old olive trees, fresh-smelling bed sheets, a rich breakfast buffet featuring local specialties, books and music, hammocks in sheltered corners, leisurely walks, Garda Lake, sports, the Bogliaco golf course, and the art, shows and culture of the nearby towns. The "Casa" was renovated in 2008 and has 3 accomodations all with private bathroom ; one double, one triple and a Suite with 2 rooms and 4 beds, all decorated in 19th-century country style. It is surrounded by two and a half acres of olive groves and offers a swimming pool and many secluded and quiet places to read the numerous books available in the four libraries. The bathrooms are particularly elegant. A plentiful homemade organic breakfast is included and can be served either in the large hall, the garden, or on the balcony overseeing the lake. In the common areas, you will be able to listen to music, watch movies, and play chess, checkers, and backgammon. No television but free wifi internet connection. We are waiting for you.

    We are a German couple looking for a kind of hideaway to relax in a beautiful landscape. We have found everything in the casa del tempo ritrovato, the house of the regained time. Maripa, the owner of this beautiful place has welcomed us warmly. The B&B is located at the hillside within a broad estate including an old olive grove. The street is quite narrow for big cars, but you can park your car comfortably nearby and walk the remaining few metres. The lake view is gorgeous from the terrace and the garden. There are hammocks between the olive grove where you can relax, read or simply take a nap. The house has been coherently equipped with every single detail with love. There are three rooms in the upper floor, two of the sharing a balcony with a great lake view. The two bathrooms are very modern, one with a massage shower and the other with a bathtub. The guests have to share the room, which is however no problem, even if all three rooms are booked. The breakfast is typically italian including fresh fruits, home-made marmelade (I counted at least ten different kinds) and freshly baked bread. For dinner you can always ask Maripa for restaurant insider tips or you can make your own in the fully-equipped guest kitchen. Taken together, a beautiful hideaway that we will return to for sure.

    Maria Gabusi has turned her grandfather's small estate into a terrific B&B. It's situated in the hills above Lake Garda, with a great view from the upper patio. The rooms were clean and large. She has obviously put a lot of effort into the restoration and there is plenty of attention to comfort details (i.e. comfortable beds and updated bathrooms). Maria lives there with her husband, two small children and 2 dogs, so it is very "homey". She was very helpful in giving ideas of activities and places to go. There is a terrific hiking trail up the hill behind the property that drops you down into a river valley, very much recommend it, but be prepared to walk several hours. There is also a trail that leads you down into the town that is about a 20 minute walk away. If walking isn't your thing, it's about a 5 minute drive into town. You will definitely want your Navigator to find the property, as it is situated off the main road, down a small street and behind a wall. This just adds to the charm. She has stenciled cute geckos onto poles and walls to help guide you in. Lesson we learned at this property is to always have your rate understood from the beginning of your stay, as we were charged 100 Euros for a double occupancy room for each night (20 more than we thought). We paid it without comment to her as we had a very nice stay and it was our first B&B experience, it was just a bit frustrating to go to BandB.com later and see a lower rate posted in "hot deals" for the week we were there (and now as well). That being said, I would still recommend this property without hesitation; it was charming and very comfortable. One last thing about Lake Garda, we found out it is a hugely popular destination for German tourists, particularly during July and August. We didn't meet any folks from the US the whole 3 days we were there.
