Situated just 8 kilometres north of Siena, Agriturismo La Gavina is a small family-run organic farm with 6 comfortable rooms with bathroom en suite, situated in a charming place immersed in the green of Monte Maggio, surrounded by picturesque scenery, between the woods of Oaks, olive fields and meadows. The stone building, of medieval origin, has been renovated with special attention to maintaining the original architecture. The property is surrounded by a large garden where guests can relax immersed in the tranquillity and silence that make the Agriturismo La Gavina an ideal place for a holiday in complete relaxation. Swimming pool (5 x 3), derived from an old source for the collection of rainwater, you can cool off and relax in the calm of nature. The same care has been reserved even in interior furnished in "arte povera" characteristic of the old rural farmhouses. In the spacious lounge housed in the old barn, you can taste the Tuscan peasant dishes, prepared according to habits and tastes. You can also rent a delightful cottage completely independent, restored, consisting of a bedroom, bathroom, lounge with kitchen and private garden. This cottage has been recently beautifully restored and overlooks the vineyards and surrounding fields. The food, at the agriturismo La Gavina, is simple and homemade and is inspired by the ancient local farming experience. Our recipes are a privileged place vegetables, legumes, cereals, alternating meat dishes scented with wild herbs, so they let you rediscover the taste dishes and flavours of the countryside They are also available free to guests table tennis, basket, foosball, the "pallinaio" to play bocce and wirless internet connection.
