    Welcome to MareMonte MareMonte offers the quintessential vitivinicola agriturismo experience, blending the historical natural charm and beauty of its cliff hanging villages on the sunbleached Joniche hillsides where this historical and generous land of the Magna Grecia gives life to our magnificent wines and where the passion for producing our noble wines equates to the quality of a unique wine and a unique place. The 5 inviting guest rooms all with private facilities and fully A/C'd are located within the main residence with 1 self contained suite in the main cantina building separated by a winding stone pathway. The outdoor patio and gazebo offers a perfect spot to relax with a good book or a glass of fine wine from our celebrated local wineries overlooking our professionally maintained vineyard where you almost feel as you can touch the Jonian Sea. MareMonte sits on 25 acres with spectacular views of the Jonian Sea and unobstructed views of the surrounding wild and uncontaminated Aspromonte. The rich history of MareMonte was preserved and restored by Anthony Reale. A Canadian businessman who was born in the region and left at the age of 9 only to rediscover its beauty and rural charm on returning for a visit with his father of 91 after an absence of 55 years the entire property was completely renovated to provide a unique vitivinicola and agriturismo experience. Dining at our restaurant, known for its Calabrian cuisine created from our own organically grown and seasonal produce and our own raised pork, chicken, lamb and beef you can watch the sheep graze in the meadow. The views and quiet location make MareMonte a special place for romantic getaways, small receptions, corporate dinners or family vacations. MareMonte also offers a small health spa where you can relax in our 6 person whirlpool, indulge in a sauna and a relaxing massage.
